Contact them, don't wait for them to contact you with questions - new affiliates, especially, usually do not want to "bother" you. Look for them online and use the SFIM chat to say hello. Give them plenty of other ways to contact you, so they can get to know more about you. Invite them to be your friend on Facebook or other social media sites.
Set up a blog, send weekly emails via the team mail system, offer incentives. Give away affiliates and TCredits. Encourage them and recognize their accomplishments. Treat them with respect.
