For me, the best way is by posting banners in your blogs and traffic exchanges. Lots of people will see them and be curious enough to click and join you. You can also use the big sizes for a splash page that goes above the "fold".
Another good way is to write a blog about business and do some "reviews" using your gateway sites as links to certain key words and phrases. This way you're not doing a hard sale, you just highlight the words and phrases and use the link button, then put the url in, and whalla, you have them linked.
