Google and many other PPC platforms have strict advertising guidlines and prohibit the solicitation of MLM opportunities, 'get rich quick schemes', and other 'pyramid related' programs in order to protect their interests and customers. In the past, there may have been unscrupulous advertising done and cause these platforms to apply 'blanket restrictions' which mean that if what you are advertising 'sounds like' it might be related to any of the categories blacklisted then your ad will be reject guaranteed.
In my experience, working with Google has been rather pleasant. I spoke with an add account manager who helped me to select keywords and phrases that do not relate to blacklisted categories. I had to make required changes to my ads and I needed to have access to the source code in order to optimize the landing page.
However, with SFI gateways, we do not have access to the landing page, nonetheless; you control your advertising account with Google 100%. It's all in the way you approach the scenario. With the help of a certified Google professional anything is possible.
