Firstly, you must understand that life in general presents opportunities equally to every individual; but not every person will see that opportunity and take it quickly.
So it is with SFI, you must realise the opportunity and take it quickly.
In realising the opportunities, one has to first of all follow the steps listed in the rules and SFI basics as well as the launch pad. Unfortunately, not many people are willing to do this and in addition their sponsor who may already have so many other PSA's is not forthcoming with support and so the new affiliates loses interest and falls back.
On the other hand, if a new affiliate does not take off on time by participating in the E365 challenge as well as benefits in tripleclicks and other SFI programmes, by the time he is convinced to continue, he may have lost out on some of these starting bonus and benefits. Then it becomes more difficult for him to catch up and this also cuts short his capacity to continue in the SFI business.
I think these two points are the main reason why more people are unable to work towards advancing in SFI, because once you are starting well in SFI, every other thing becomes a routine and once yuo see your progress, it becomes a motivation even for more advanvements.
