I can tell you are very sensitive to your affiliates (CSA's) in the way you ask this question. I would say that it is very important characteristic of a leader.Yes we do not want to overwhelm our affiliates.
Very important in any communication with your affiliates is engagement. One kind of message/email that we always want to read are those that are personal. Put a personal touch on message/information so that they will engage in conversation with you and not be overwhelmed.
We also do not want to give information indiscriminately because they might be reading those information themselves.
For me, I just communicate to my CSA's in my welcome message that they have a second team, a back up team and I am their team leader ready to help them anytime they need help or if their first Team (which is their sponsors) will not give them assistance.
Once a week I send them a personalized message. Most importantly, the message I give them is not same information from SFI website but a result of my study, observation and analysis. So, it is in form of strategies and suggestions.
