I'm not sure I know what you mean with offline tools for marketing. Are you asking about the SFI/TC x-cards, post cards, brochures, flyers, and gift cards? Or do you mean local newspapers, restaurant place mats, car signs, cash register receipts, and T-shirts?
I am assuming that you don't just mean recruiting PSAs, but also PRMs and ECAs.
The best SFI/TC marketing tool is the one you have with you at the time you meet a good prospect. You can do wonders using any of them, just be creative, but honest. Show the prospect that you are both fun and professional and will help them if needed.
On the other hand if you are going out on a safari hunt where you will meet all kinds of people, you must make some plans. You can't shoot at every thing and come up a winner. You must chose who you want to recruit and prepare for that one type of prospect. And take the marketing aids that will supplement your talk. Just make sure that it has a gateway with your SFI ID# on it.
The ideas I listed above and others will cost you some money. Some will cost lots of money. For those you need to know if your targeted prospects use or read these items. Spend your money wisely. The best ones of this nature, if you are new at it, are those which are convenient and near for you to use, as long as the people are suitable for the business.
I'm not saying that everybody can't do SFI, just that there are some that can do it easier. Those who have a computer at home, those who can and expect to buy from their TC store, those who do not sit at home or loiter downtown doing nothing but expecting to be given everything.
