I feel the best way to learn about advertising is to use the search engines like Google.
Try searching for free advertsing, paid to click (PTC) sites, cost per click (CPC), text ad exchanges, article marketing, online classfieds, and any other search terms that you might come up with.
Searching is free, so once you have the first page of listings, go to each one and read on what they offer. Write down the information you find, and then compare each one to see which one is most suitable for your intended advertising situation.
Researching different advertising choices is the best way to learn so that you don't find yourself paying for (or losing money) on advertising that you didn't understand how it works.
Of course, you could ask your sponsor for some help, or the SFI Forum, but don't expect to find exact places to advertise, because most people don't offer that option; they don't want to give away their best choices.
