Lystra - You are a child of God and "God Don't Make No Junk." Repeat this whenever you get down on yourself. You are worthy just by the fact that you are here.
To be a good sponsor, do the things you would like your team to do. Log in each and every day. Do all actions that gain you as many VP as you can get.
Read a Launchpad lesson or two to gain more knowledge.
Read your SFI Rules of Success each day.
Browse your Tripleclicks store, putting together in your mind some great collections.
Try to sell one thing each month.
Put all these actions in bullet form in your Newsletter to your team teaching them the art of duplication.
You don't have to know everything. Just know where to find things when you need them. Great place for this is the "sitemap" under "support" on your homepage.
Remember - you are doing very well, chin up, and you will succeed.

Which would be good TripleClicks products to promote for Mother's Day (and/or for a Mother's Day Collection)?

This is a golden opportunity now that we can create Collections.
Think of your own Mother or Grandmother. What does/did she like?
My Mother loved to garden. Build a collection of garden ornaments, garden lanterns, etc.
For a Mother in a Nursing home - a magazine subscription would be a great gift. This is a gift that lasts for a year. Set up a collection displaying all the magazines pertaining to women's interests available at Tripleclicks.
Another lovely gift is a silk scarf and perfume. This makes a lady feel loved and appreciated. This would make a beautiful collection.
Think of what you would like to receive and build a collection around it.

What's a great welcome gift for new PSAs and CSAs?

I believe the gift that has the most benefit to the new PSA is a gift certificate so they can purchase their NMP to reach Fast Track. Of course this is only after you assess that they are doing their Getting Started actions with the Fast Track membership goal in mind. A real go-getter will make themselves known to you and will show interest in the Fast Track. This I believe is the best way to get them on their way to success.
Good communication with our team is vital in SFI, but what if we are not good writers; how do we learn to write well?

You are right - good communication is important. You managed to communicate to us here that you feel that you are not a good communicator. We had no difficulty understanding what you were asking. Who made you believe that you were not a good writer and what is a good writer? No one is judging you. We have people in the Forum, in Ask SC and in communication with their down lines who get their point across even though English is not their native language. Their passion comes through, their intelligence comes through, no one even thinks about how they are saying something, they are interested in what they are saying and if they can assist them. Just speak from the heart and you will do just fine.

How do I encourage an affiliate to remain active when they feel they've been demoted?

Should your affiliate feel demoted, firstly tell them this is just an aspect of the business. We all have setbacks. There are many reasons to lose your rank. One is that you are not trying as hard as you should. If that is the case, direct him/her with some of the ways you have achieved and maintained your rank. Another cause is that their down line is not performing at their peak. Advise them to try to inspire them with details you offered in No. one.
Suggest that they keep advertising for referrals and to read the many answers on how to motivate your down line.
Also ensure that they are aggressively promoting sales on Tripleclicks. Once their sales start rolling in, and the sales of their down line, they will be in much better spirits and will gain their confidence back.
Tell them that this is their business and every business has roadblocks. They have just hit a roadblock. They have the power to overcome any obstacle. Just keep their eyes on the prize.

How important is it that your family embrace your SFI business...and what if they don't?

There are so many variables to be considered. 1) In some cultures it is absolutely necessary to have support from family. 2) If a man were to consider giving up his steady income to go full time with SFI, he would definitely need the support of his family. 3) If you are financially independent, then you can go it alone without anyone's support.
The number one question asked by family members is -" How much are you making and how much did you invest to make that amount?" This could be difficult. However, when your commissions exceed your investment then you are on your way with or without support. Keep on working to realize this scenario.
You know your family best. If it is going to cause problems cut back a little bit on your activities. If not, give it your all.

Which TC Direct products (not ECA products) have you used and really like?

The items on my standing order are: T-credits 125 pack, S-builder, 50 PSAs from an ECA.
The advantage of the 125 pack of T-credits is firstly you get it at a reduced price because it is on a standing order and you attain 1500 VP. Two great advantages. Everyone likes to save money and the 1500 VP ensures your EA status every month. The price of the T credits - 125 pack is $36.25 however when ordering select the price in your own currency so you can see the actual amount you will be paying so there are no surprises. The $36.25 is in US dollars. Then you have 125 T-credits at your disposal every month to bid on auctions, play games, and reward your down line.
Another advantage of having a standing order is that you can purchase single PSAs to go for $1.99 each. I love this aspect to help grow my team.
The S-builder is also a great way to grow your team. You can also include your movers in an S-builder co-op. This is a win/win as it helps both your team and yourself. If anyone you had in your co-op opts out, you get the PSAs from the co-op returned to you.
The PSAs from an ECA is self explanatory. It helps build your team at a decent price.
I also purchase the 30 pack of Gift Cards - physical cards which I pass out to anyone - vet, grocery store cash out person, hairdresser, etc. You get 10 pts. for each card you give and record and hopefully you will gain a PRM or two. Maximum per month is 30 cards - only one per person.
I think any of these would be a great benefit to you.

How do you get affiliates to understand that SFI is a serious business with serious earnings potential...and not just a hobby?

For some who have full time jobs and are working SFI part time, it may feel like a hobby. However, if you were to ask them, they would say this is a serious business that they are working until they are able to leave their 9-5 job.
Ask them to look at our people who have been here for years. They are not here for fun, they are earning money and progressing towards a bright future.
Ask them also to go to "Reference" on the grey bar on their home page and click on "Compare SFI." They will certainly see that SFI is a serious business where they can work towards a good income for themselves.
Some may work it as a hobby in the beginning but when they start making money they become pleasantly surprised and start working seriously.

How can I convince people who do not speak English to join SFI and work with me?

Know first off that it is difficult for the person who doesn't understand English. On top of learning all there is to learn, all the material is in a foreign language.
Give them examples of people on your team or in your a2a friendship that don't speak English.
Tell them we have many, many successful affiliates who are doing just fine using the tools provided here by SFI.
They can use the sub-Forum to look up their country and can then speak to affiliates using their mother tongue. They can also join a2a and ask to make friends with people from their own country.
There are many ways they can be successful.

My team has a negative attitude about SFI. How can I change it to a positive one?

Are your team members communicating with you? If they are, then they have some trust in you and what you say.
Go through your list of negative affiliates and individually ask them what turned them negative. It could be a misconception of something they read.
Explain to them in detail the actual facts and they may start to see that they can do this.
Some people are naturally negative. If they keep trying to prove the point in the negative, just move on. They are not interested. Anything you say won't make a difference.
