How can we guide our new affiliates in a way that prevents or minimizes information overload?

As it can be overwhelming for a new affiliates, it is important to remember how you felt when you first joined SFI and empathize with your new team members.

I have found that it is important to:
Direct (and re-direct) my new team members to the BASICS tab to grasp the simple idea behind SFI.
It is important to read information properly as it is part of training and they are encouraged not to rush through LAUNCHPAD lessons, for example.

What can/should I do differently in 2016 to see that my affiliates become active in SFI?

One way is, while it is important to continue with the weekly team mails, it is important to reach out to my affiliates on a more personal level. This means connecting with them on SFIchat, sending an e card and a personal email. Meeting in person makes a powerful connection especially if you already know your affiliate. I also find that monitoring your affiliates or movers VP ledger regularly helps make you a better leader in your ability to guide them more strategically.

How do you build a team where everyone knows they are valued members and part of something special?

Have communication whether it is by mail, chat, on stream etc. that is friendly, warm and encouraging at key points of your team members experience with SFI - when they first join, taking them through the process of learning about SFI with regular and practical tips, when they ask questions or want direction, recognizing when they achieve at key moments such as Fast Track, EA, and TL levels etc.

How can I help the Movers on my team move up to the next level?

Always use your own experience when you were a new affiliate to help you communicate with your Movers. This helps remind and let you empathize with what they are going through.

I encourage my Movers in their first month to really learn about SFI through BASICs, LAUNCHPAD etc.
I do tell them that at a minimum they should aim for EA status every month. When they reach this, I reward them with a gift or incentive like TCredits or postcards.

Where are the best places to go to recruit affiliates face to face?

Great and challenging question.

Start with places where you are known or already have good friendships. This could be your workplace, your friendship spaces, your hobby areas, your home and family areas. If the trust is there it helps make the face to face recruitment easier. Besides the very important task of getting VP via To Do List daily, to really succeed in SFI, I use the main principles behind SFI in its BASICS tab to guide my daily and weekly activities:

To speed up the process of getting VP and to gain higher status, I also look at my scoreboard to see what I can buy from TripleClicks to make EA, BTL, STL or GTL in a month. For example, to purchase SO 50 PSAs to go or get S builder, etc.

What do you say to an affiliate who thinks that doing the daily 1 VP actions is a waste of time?

You could try to explain that the accumulation of VP is a consistent process which will result in great outcomes later. Most jobs or work in life demand hard work and commitment. Remember the saying "Success is 1% intelligence and 99% perspiration". Also, you can work out how the daily calculations add up to the total on a monthly basis and how this links to an affiliate's rank and promotion and commission.

To a large extent if we are not careful, we sometimes risk treating affiliates as numbers or statistics in our business. It is extremely important we remember the importance of the human touch when dealing with fellow affiliates and especially active affiliates.

Daily check your MOVERS tab for the most active of affiliates.
You can also check their ledger to see which points they still need.

I remind myself of the "big picture" for each actions I do in SFI:

Doing the daily To Do list - retains and improves your ranking which in turns gives a higher percentage in the executive pool.

Reading and learning training materials on SFI - lead to my development as team leader and enrich myself with marketing tools which allows me in turn to train and build up other affiliates and Team leaders.
