Purchasing traffic can be a good way to achieve sign-ups or bad depending on where the traffic is sent. If your traffic is to one of your own blogs/sites and it doesn't look professional or it is hard to navigate the traffic you generate will be worthless as nobody will or will be able to sign-up.

But then again there is no such thing as bad traffic. If you can get your page seen by 1000 people instead of just one your chances increase to generate sign-ups to grow your business. you must also add links and banners to the blogs/sites where traffic will be sent in order to help people further understand what SFI and TripleClicks is.

I would say test it out for a few months if it works you can continue if it doesn't at least you know you have tried and you can start working on other ideas to generate sign-ups.

The fastest way to build a team would be a place or platform where you can reach a lot of people with minimal work or effort. Things you can do include blogs, as you can create one post that thousands of people can read, advertising is also a great way to reach many people with only one ad and both of those methods take 5 - 20min to complete but can generate a few active affiliates.

TripleClicks also sells CSA's and PSA's if you are willing to spend a few dollars to grow your team and yet again takes no effort.

There will never be a specific time as some of your affiliates will become active after a certain amount of time and others might never become active. I would suggest only sending PSA/CSA mails to them every week as it has been shown that a lot of affiliates use other email addresses and not there primary email address, so don't spend to much time sending emails, but never stop to pursue affiliates.
