Strategy 1:

If you have a good quantity of 500+ TCredits to spend (bought or won), then go ahead and spend them wisely on [Pricebenders auctions]. Winning these auctions can make you rich on SFI leaderboard, but can be devastating for the faint hearted, losses accumulate.
So be ready for losing, and enter the auction arena with a good risk appetite. With good strategies and some luck, you can win CSAs and PSA to build your team, and THAT is the most valuable thing for success in SFI.
Strategy 2:
========
If your budget is limited, with 120 to 500 TCredits only, then I suggest you use them wisely on EZ games like Card King, Gold Streak, KO Trivia, T-Machine, PTP, and now the new Uber Picks.
Playing these games may be hard in the beginning, but once you get used to it, then you get the taste of winning... and boy! when you start winning... you will be bestowed with too many goodies to resist.
These games are pretty much addictive, so control your daily TCredit spending, and you can build up a good amount of SFI action points, which very much needed for your EA or above status in SFI.
In this strategy, tread carefully in Pricebenders Auctions, as chances of winning are low here. You may consume a daily quota of TCredits on auctions, simply to gain AVPs, but do not get into a bid-war at any cost.
Strategy 3:
========
If the number of TCredits is low - less than 100, then I suggest you definitely stay away from PB auctions. Strictly spend your credits on EZ games only, and that too wisely, and with patience. If used meticulously, you can gain more crucial AVPs per month, for your SFI ranking.
Conclusion:

Most people suggest going for PB auctions, but I always teach my affiliates that developing a business is about maintaining calm and use your intelligence - stay far from impulses, that's the number one reason for failed businesses in any part of the globe.
