As you take a look at this question, I can tell that your are thinking of persons who have the time on their hands. Both are great targets groups.
A person who is retired tend to look for a daily purpose to continue some sort of activity. This keeps them from being bored and at the same time, keeps their thought process active. Most retirees need a second source of income, so this is a great venture for them.
On the other hand, most homemaker feels that if they have their own source of income, they can do some of the things they want to do and it also keep them occupied when there is nothing to do at home. They will look for something simple and doesn't require a start up cost. SFI is the best choice for both groups.
However, Please don't restrict yourself by trying to determine which demographic you should target because you never know which list your duplicate(mini you) might come from. All you have to do is add the retirees and homeworker to your list of demographics to target.

How to advertise successfully on Facebook and other social media?

the best way to advertise on facebook and other social media is to create your own web site. If you already have a website, create an additional page on your site that is strictly for SFI. Then you place that link on your social media sites. When prospects click on that link it will take them where you want them to so. It is also known as a hop.
At this time, which are the best countries to advertise SFI in?

Marketing is an experimental process. No one knows exactly where to market so we have to try all areas. If we knew where is the best place to market, we all will be there and the marketing process will turn into a "cut throat" process.
The best thing to do is to try every market to determine where you will fall on some solid seekers.
Being that it is Free to join our SFI family, all markets in this struggling economy are solid takers if your marketing skills are up to par.
Good luck and venture out of your comfort zone.

Is it better to promote SFI to friends and family...or to strangers?

This is not an black or white answer. You will have to determine yourself who you will get the right response from.
If you are the kind of person who sign up for all types of business then recruite your friends and family before you understand the business, then it doesn't work out so you quit, then you may want to stay away from you friends and family until you can prove to them that you have proof that it works and you are benefiting from it.
This is when you market to strangers because they don't know your track record.
Once you have success with you business, then your friends and family will be chasing after you to get in.
Good Luck

I am interested in utilizing webinars in my marketing and training my downline. How should I go about this?

If you decide to use a webinar, your main goal is to ensure to your prospect and your downline that you are a real person. It is a very great strategic tool so make sure there are room for a couple questions at the end of the presentations. Please ask your audience to hold all questions to the end because you do not want to be interupted during you presentation. This sometimes throw an inexperience person off track.

I will not say that there are anything key words that should be avoised when setting up advertisements on search engines. As a matter of fact, you shouls use as much as possible that you can place because you never know what key word the users are going to use. The more key words you use, the more opportunities you will have to be discovered.
I do believe that you should advertise on as many search engines as possible and please dont forget the free ones because there are many prospects out there that are searching all the different search engines to find the ideal home business.
It cost nothing to sign up with SFI, so if any one types free in a search engine, all the free to advertise search engines will be in the runnings to be discovered.
The bottom line is to try everything to get you business discovered. Do not limit youself by what you have heard. Conduct you own research because you find it yourself, it remains a whole lot onger in your memoried.
Just have fun in your business and get reid of the usless stress because there are no stress in SFI.

What should a new ECA do and not do in their first month?

During the first month as a new Affiliate, that person should be logging into their business every day. The best way to leard everything is to review everything. When you go over something the second time you will always see a point or 2 that was missed or was not understood the first time you saw it.
So a new affiliate should log in everyday and follow the plan to include the launch pad, to-do-list and ask questions when needed.
A new Affiliate should NOT allow themself to be influenced by outsiders about SFI because these outside influence do not know SFI.

Which marketing methods should we be recommending to our new PSAs?

First I will recommend that the new affiliates complete the entire launchpad and getting started which will take them through everything they need to know. SFI has made this a very simple process. Once they are completed with the training they will know which method they would want to try. Now if they don't understand what they went through, then there is no way you would be able to effectively recommend anything to them because they wouldn't understand. Marketing is a strategy that work for individual base on their understand and the ability to analyze their results.

Is it wise to 'bribe' your downline with Gift Certificates, TCredits or other incentives? Or does this practice come back and bite you?

If the gift certificate, TCredits or any other incentive is going to a member of your downline that is not doing anything to grow their business, then I will say it is a bribe and should stop.
If these are going but and falls short, then I will definitely support that move because it will be a form of encouragement for that member.
How can you be an SFI Team Leader if you're not a born leader?

To me a leader is someone who can follow instructions and give instructions. So I think Leadership is something that can be taught. As you grow and follow the development plan in SFI, you will see that SFI have enough tools in place to help the ordinary person becomes extraordinary. If you learn how to be an awesome sponsor, then this is leadership training.
