Two concerns are to be analyzed here to be able to answer this and make the right decision.

1)Time - The student needs time to concentrate in studies and SFI may take his/her time:
But I rather think that SFI will not take more than 30 minutes of a student time everyday and the student has more than 2 leisure hours each day.
If he draws a timetable of his activities in a day, and that of is personal studies, he can have 30 minutes to login to SFI, do the daily activities, review his messages and response to mails as well as few tripleclicks activities. The time he/ she would have used for computer games will be used in SFI and he obtains a more satisfying joy.

2) Finance - The concern here is that the student will not have enough money to place standing order and become EA every month.
If the student is prudent enough, he/she will limit snacks, and other buyings then put some money into SFI project and thus can engage in PSAs-To-Go where he/ she will have PSAs to work and give her commissions as well as versa points. From the commission he can conveniently sponsor standing orders as well as other activities even outside SFI and grow from thence.

Equally SFI will help the student to obtain some academic informations when he/she goes into IAHBE and other educational programs in SFI.

I believe this has addressed your concern and can help a student confidently sign up to SFI.

SFI has a fair playing field for everybody to thrive equally except in some areas of badges which a new comer can not be equated to someone that has been login in for the past one year without breaking nor can you be equated to the many months of EA streaks. That part of the natural I equality and seniority in life reflecting here too.

However, you can win price bender auctions whereas the older person does not. You can answer 2000 questions and the older person does not.
You can win E365 contest and the older person does not or was eliminated in his class.
You may have started on a fast tract and has the badge while the older person did not and does not have the badge.
Equally, there are new introductions these days like the games, etc that was not there for the older people which could have helped them to reach platinum or gold team leadership easily than now.

You have equal opportunity to and can even have more affiliates than the old affiliates if you are active in organizing seminars, advertising SFI in various forms in your locality and among your peers along with social media.

There are more level playing grounds in addition to these

The best way to convince such a person is by showing them your gains:

- The commissions or earnings

- The physical prices you've won,if any.

- The products you've ordered and received, if any

And then you could login to show him/her how simple and free it is.

If he is not convinced after this, then don't waste your time again.
