What are some ways to use Attraction Marketing to build my SFI business?
Affiliate since: 08/04/2013, Power Rank: 14
Attraction Marketing is a subtle way to gain the trust of your prospects by providing something of value to them, such as free information. It is more focused on sharing different ways to get better results from a certain product or program, and less focused on making a direct and overt sales pitch.
I believe one of the most effective ways to use attraction marketing to build your SFI business is through a combination of blogs and how-to videos. When you consistently produce interesting articles and videos that center around your product or program, you gain a loyal following of like-minded people who benefit from all the free information you provide.
People who benefit from your efforts will come to trust and value any recommendation you make and are more likely to buy any product you want to sell them.
Of course, it takes time to gain someone's trust, so this marketing method requires patience and persistence, but it does work!

How do you explain to team members why VersaPoints appear to reset to zero at the start of each month?
Affiliate since: 08/04/2013, Power Rank: 14
Hello Bamidele Oluwole,
This is the way I would explain it to my team members:
Starting a new month with 0 VP at SFI is like starting a bowling tournament with 0 points. When you score the highest number of points, you win a trophy. However, when you enter the next tournament, you start with 0 points again. Why? Because you already won a trophy for the points you scored, so you cannot use them in a new tournament. Moreover, starting with 0 points makes it easier to keep track of how many points you need to beat your previous score.
Here at SFI it is the same principle but in this case, it is because SFI calculates your monthly commissions based on the number of VP you earn each month, so it would not be fair to add any VP you earned in previous months, given that you have already been paid for them. Moreover, starting each month with 0 VP makes it easier to track how many VP you will need to maintain or surpass your current rank.
I hope this explanation is helpful :)

How often and in what ways should we have contacts with our CSAs?
Affiliate since: 08/04/2013, Power Rank: 14
Hi Danijela,
I send a CSA Mailer with tips once a week to all of my CSAs and always let them know they can count on me if they have any questions or doubts. I also include them in all of my Stream posts.
I find that this is usually more than enough because they also receive weekly messages from SFI and hopefully from their sponsors too, so I do not want them to feel overwhelmed or too pressured.
I also send an e-card or a chat message whenever they achieve rank or win a Daily Grand prize or just to cheer them on when I see they are working hard.
My CSAs are just as important to me as my PSAs, so I treat them exactly the same.

To build a successful SFI business, how much should I rely on my sponsor?
Affiliate since: 08/04/2013, Power Rank: 14
Hello Sebastian,
Your Sponsor is the person who introduced you to SFI, so logic would dictate that he or she should be the one to help you build a successful business. However, the reality is that many of our Sponsors are also new to this business and do not fully realize the importance of supporting the affiliates they recruit. If you have a good Sponsor, by all means rely on the guidance he or she provides.
However, you do not need to rely solely on your Sponsor to build a successful business. You have a Co-Sponsor, an upline of affiliates that goes all the way up to SFI Corporate, a choice of ten a2a friends you can go to for help and, of course, you have many generous and wise affiliates who are ready and willing to provide answers to your questions in the SFI Forum.
This is your business, and although you owe a debt of gratitude to your Sponsor for having introduced you to this wonderful opportunity, it is up to you to take the initiative and find additional support from the many other sources available to you at SFI aside from your Sponsor.
Build a successful business by relying most of all on yourself! Search for the information you need (SFI Search Engine, ASK SC section, Forum, training materials, etc.), and then ask questions about the concepts you do not fully understand. Help is always available here at SFI for those who want to succeed!

There are many actions in SFI for which you can earn VersaPoints. Which is the action you should recommend to your downline to focus on and why?
Affiliate since: 08/04/2013, Power Rank: 14
Hello Rosafilipina,
In spite of all the helpful information affiliates in our downline receive when they join SFI, the truth is, most of them have no prior business experience, many have limited knowledge about affiliate programs or online marketing, some are not in the habit of reading much and others may not be very computer savvy.
Faced with such a vast amount of information that might as well be written in hieroglyphs, many affiliates don't know what to do or where to start, which could be the reason why they remain inactive. In order to give them a sense of purpose, I recommend they focus on a single task until they feel more comfortable: their Daily Actions (red and grey tabs).
One Daily Action in particular, visiting the Forum, allows them to meet a host of friendly and helpful affiliates who will make them feel right at home by answering any questions they may have. When new affiliates see that others who are in their same situation are able to advance and prosper, they will realize that they can too.
By repeating their Daily Actions, affiliates will become more confident about what they are doing and as their confidence grows, so will their natural curiosity. At the same time, they will be establishing a solid foundation from which to grow their business to heights they never dreamed of before joining SFI.

What is the best way to get my new PSAs up to speed with SFI without overwhelming them?
Affiliate since: 08/04/2013, Power Rank: 14
Hello Ritu,
I remember my first month at SFI and the overwhelming amount of information I had to digest. I did not have help from my Sponsor or Co-Sponsor and was too shy to contact them, so I muddled through, without a clear idea of what was important and what could wait until later. Thankfully I got it right but it was only because I love to read… and had nothing else to do at the time :)))
Consequently, what I do to get my new PSAs up to speed is send them a link to my Leadership Page as soon as they join. There they will find a blog called Getting Started at SFI. A 10-Day Guide. In the introduction I suggest they read the SFI Basics and watch the START video, and then ask them to focus on performing simple tasks from their To-Do list.
The guide itself contains a DAY ONE to DAY TEN guide with a daily 3-step work schedule that invariably includes Daily Actions, any pending Weekly or Monthly Actions, as well as Actions from the Getting Started, Intermediate and Launchpad sections. I try to include everything they need to get started, but in small, manageable daily portions so that they do not feel as overwhelmed as I did.
I complement this guide with a simple explanation of what they should do from DAY 11 until the end of the month to reach the rank of Executive Affiliate, and also emphasize the importance of visiting TripleClicks and the Forum each day.
Finally, I mention that during their first 10 days they will receive several notifications from SFI about becoming a Fast Track Member, and I provide a link to the Fast Track page so that they are fully aware of the advantages this membership offers.

How do I encourage an affiliate to remain active when they feel they've been demoted?
Affiliate since: 08/04/2013, Power Rank: 14
I am assuming that the demotion is due to loss of rank because of the new requirements to qualify for Team Leader, set to go into effect in January 2016, but my answer can apply to any kind of demotion or setback.
If your affiliates feel that they have been demoted, I would try to help them figure out why this has happened and work with them to find ways to regain their rank. But most of all I would tell them that they should not consider this a failure on their part because it is not; it is just a slight setback.
I would also explain that a demotion is an opportunity to take a small step back in order to take a giant leap forward. A demotion, however unpleasant, takes the pressure off and gives them a chance to rethink their strategy and make the necessary improvements.
Any serious entrepreneur will have to face not one but several setbacks on their road to success, but this should never deter them from achieving their goals. On the contrary, setbacks should energize them and strengthen their resolve to do better than before.

What are the best, most effective strategies one should use when just starting up with SFI?
Affiliate since: 08/04/2013, Power Rank: 14
Hello Edib,
Your most effective strategy should be to familiarize yourself with SFI and what it has to offer because if you don't know what to do, how to do it and where to find the right information, you cannot advance. That is why the first thing you are asked to do is read the SFI Basics and watch the START video. They contain information about ways to earn an income at SFI and give you a brief overview of the site.
Armed with that basic knowledge you can then go on to your second strategy which should also be your first goal: become an Executive Affiliate by the end of your first month and at the same time begin to learn how to recruit new affiliates and refer customers to TripleClicks in order to start earning money as soon as possible. That is what the To-Do list is for.
By the time you have done all the one-time Actions on your To-Do list and finished the 30 Launchpad lessons, you should have enough knowledge and confidence to try your hand at recruiting members to your team and referring customers to TripleClicks so that you can start earning commissions, which, of course, is the main reason why you joined SFI in the first place, right?

We are only allowed 10 A2A friends. We can follow anyone. How do you pick your A2A friends and followers?
Affiliate since: 08/04/2013, Power Rank: 14
Hello Mary,
My grandfather used to say that if, when you are on your deathbed, you can count your true friends on the fingers of one hand, you die a rich person.
I think my grandfather was a very wise man because throughout our lives we can make many acquaintances, but true friends are much harder to find. That is why I did not pick my a2a friends so much for their knowledge –although that is very useful–, but more for the friendship they have shown me.
As for the people I choose to follow, I pick the affiliates who regularly contribute to the Forum because they know much more than I do and I learn from them. They may not know who I am… but I definitely know who they are and I am grateful for their selflessness and generosity.

How could posting in your native language in the My Country or My Region categories in the forum help build your SFI business?
Affiliate since: 08/04/2013, Power Rank: 14
Hello Rania,
SFI is a community of people helping people. By doing away with the language barrier in the My Country and My Region categories of the Forum, SFI has given affiliates from non English-speaking countries a powerful new tool with which to finally find answers to their many questions, in a language they can understand. One-on-one communication is so much more effective than the translation tool!
Your team mates will gain a better understanding of what to do at SFI when they read posts in their native language, and will hopefully feel more comfortable and less intimidated. As they become more confident, they will be motivated to start building their own businesses, which means YOUR business will benefit too.
If you speak a language other than English, you can and should become active in these new Forum categories, and share your knowledge with your compatriots, as others will be doing with theirs, thereby enabling the cycle of knowledge to go full circle, which helps EVERYONE achieve more. Kudos to SFI for providing this fantastic and unique opportunity!
