Personally I have gone for stall holders, or crafters to start with
here was my thinking- Large businesses with websites will think ECA is going to split their traffic and they will want everyone to go straight to their own website.
smaller businesses with their own website, especially local businesses use their websites to bring in people to their brick and mortar store. and they probably won't have the time to run 2 websites or deal with shipping. Most small brick and mortar stores sell products readily available on the web.
So what you can ask yourself every time you go into a business is...A) Is this something different or unique. B) Would people pay extra to have this shipped to them.

Where as a small booth holder in a local market or a crafter will see the benefits of an easy to use system. So easy I even set up an ECA with 4 products in a few hours!

Take a crafter of walking sticks for instance. They probably have a few local tourist stores sell for them, they may have a season where they set up at festivals etc. But what do they do the rest of the year?
Most do not have ways to take credit cards or any other means of payment other than cash. With an ECA store Its all taken care of for them
If they cannot sell to someone immediately or a prospect states they are out of money at a festival, there is always a chance the prospect will visit their ECA store later.
No domains/web hosting/merchant carts. Just write an address on a box & drop it buy the post office next time you go through town. If they are a little more tech savvy they can even print the shipping label and get the mail to pick it up. Heck, they can even say "I only ship on Thursdays" if they want to.

Remember that the rejection is of SFI not of yourself.

If you bought your dream car, a 2 seater sports car, there would be some that would look at you & ask if you are nuts! Why didn't you buy the minivan? You would not take offense at that would you? It just means they are at a different point in their lives.

SFI is YOUR dream future, if they don't see the possibilities, they would end up quitting. Much better if they reject your proposal now, than waste your valuable time & energy. Be polite, leave the door open for them, they circumstances may change later, but do not take it to heart.
