In building your team you have to make your affiliates feel that they are a part of something larger than themselves. You have to consistently communicate with your team so that they will feel and know that you are always there to support them. Yes we use the genealogy, email and message board.
However, it is in our nature to do better when we are openly congratulated. Always openly congratulate their efforts and achievements on the STREAM post and invite them to post comments here as well. Even if it is a win in one of the competitions, openly acknowledge it. This will also make them aware of what other team members are doing. This way, they'll get to know who their team mates are, which can build a sense of comradery. This can also allow a little friendly competition among your affiliates as they try to do as well or better than their team mates.

How do you respond when someone asks you about SFI?

Sometimes, when someone asks us about SFI, we have the perfect answer in our heads, but when it reaches the tip of our tongue it somehow comes out wrong.
A good remedy for that is to have a stack of X-Cards with us at all times. A 50 pack costs just $4.13 and is only $3.75 with a standing order. The front says that millions of people world wide are making money online while the back gives a short history and explanation of SFI.
You can give them the card, and because the information on the card is in front of you, you can now elaborate on some of the points making it easier for you to talk about SFI

Should we recruit our family members into SFI? Good idea or not?

Yes. I think it is a great idea to recruit family members .They are the easiest to recruit. I was telling a family member about SFI and before I could even finish what I was saying he asked to join. Family members know and trust you. So if you are enthusiastic about something they can feel your enthusiasm.
We are encouraged to join the A2A so we can have someone in our city or country who we can brainstorm with. Recruiting a family member is like having an A2A who you know personally. You get all the advantages associated with connecting to an A2A member. This has worked out very well for me. We get together and come up with ideas that has been beneficial to both of us. My family member is my best affiliate.

How does one support all your downline affiliates if you have barely enough to support your own self?

SFI encourages us to support our downline, however SFI has not said that we have to support them financially. Supporting your downline financially is a personal decision that should be based on your ability to do so. If you cannot support them financially, then don't even attempt to do so.
Under the Training Tab on your Homepage, read the articles in the After Your Affiliates Join section, especially the Be An Awesome Sponsor Article. Use your money to grow your personal business. When you have gained some success and are able to give monetary help, then you can choose to do so. Just know that either way, you can be an awesome sponsor.

How can I convince my downline of the benefits of having a Standing Order without them feeling pressured?

If your downline does not have a Standing Order, they will always get a notice in the Alert Tab on their Homepage telling them about the advantages of having a SO. By doing this SFI takes the burden off of you.
You can ask them if they had seen and read the Alert. If they did not read it, ask them to do so. Follow up by discussing the advantages with them and asking them what they think about it. Let them know how having a SO is benefiting you. Then finally, ask them if this is something they think they can do?

Sometimes a younger person may be looking for instant or quick gratification and is not interested in the long term benefits. We have to show them how SFI has merged the two together.
Show them that SFI has games at the TripleClick website, and that they can win VersaPoints and MRPs that they can use. Because young people like bargains and electronic toys, introduce them to the Pricebenders Penny Auctions and show them some of the prices phones and ipads ,etc have sold for.
A young person usually has more than five hundred friend on Facebook. Show them how they can use their Gateway links to tell all their Facebook friends about SFI. They can even ask their friends to 'share' their post. That way, they can reach an even larger network of people. Let them know ,that they can create a FB page and use one of the cool, new cover photo that SFI has at https://www.sfimg.com/Miscellaneous/CoverPhotos
Show them they can have fun while building their business, and that they should come to the SFI website everyday and do the activities in their to-do list.
