The initial contact then a follow-up, why? For various reasons:
1. The initial contact gives you the opportunity to introduce yourself to your affiliates whether they be PSa’s or CSA’s. The key here is to maintain a relationship with the affiliate's and the initial introduction in welcoming them to your Team is the first step to establish this relationship. How would someone know you if you don’t introduce yourself first? SfI has done the introduction to SFI business but you as a sponsor or co-op sponsor is to welcome them to your Team.
2. Communication is the key to SFI business if anyone wants to succeed therefore, establishing the initial contact is very crucial in this matter to ease any unfamiliarity between affiliates and pave the path to future communication.
3. The initial contact is an invitation or a welcoming message and this establishes a mutual relationship where both parties will benefit from in the long run.
4. A follow-up is equally important because its cement the existing relationship between the parties involved. If one wants to kill this relationship in its track then don’t do follow-ups and this will break the communication link as fast as it has begun.
5. A follow- up shows you cared which could help inspire or motivate someone in what they are doing because a follow up shows you want to help in whatever they are doing.
6. You can’t set up someone and leave them out in the cold to fend for their own selves. The best way to eliminate this is by follow-ups.
A smooth, transitional and continuous communication between Team members will accomplish a common goal. To encourage and to better understand the needs and concerns of Team members is through follow-ups.
Hope that helps.
Cheers
