I think that depends on the individual members of your downline.
Some people prefer to read and be left alone to get on with it using their own strategies, others prefer a much more tutored style of sponsor.
In my opinion, remind people that you are there if required and you should be able to tell from the response (or lack of one) what sort of person they are. That way you don't spam people who prefer to work alone, and the people who want a more guided format will respond to you and let you know when they need direction.
Treat everyone as an individual rather than a number and you are bound to have optimum success with them.

Why does it seem like everyone who joins SFI think it's get-rich-quick?
Maybe because there are so many get rich quick schemes on the Internet. You can't move for them when you are trying to find legitimate ways of making money online. There is one major difference though: all get rich quick schemes ask for money, and SFI is free! Of course there are extra things you can do financially to earn more, but not necessary to make a wage over time. Ask them if they want to risk their hard earned money on get rich quick schemes, or if they want to work for long-term, risk-free income.
