Recruiting can be difficult these days as there is so many work from home scams on the internet. The Bonus with SFI is that you can and want to show people that it is REAL, LEGITIMATE and a true business.
Here are a couple of ways that I had used to recruit new affiliates:
1) I used my Facebook account and sent out a link of the new gateway on my "What doing now" section. I made sure that it was shown to my friends only first. This allowed me to explain to them why they were only seeing it as I wanted to provide them with this opportunity first. It created a simple buzz just on the fact that they felt special.
2) I utilized some of the free ad posting sites. Now this can be tricky also as they are inundated with those "home based jobs (scams)", so you want to tweek the SFI ads that are provided in the marketing section just alittle to prevent you from looking like all the others.
So far I have gotten approximately 4 people from this. I know this is slow but it is 4 more than I started with and could also work for you.

What other online marketing tools do you use to promote your business apart from those provided by SFI?

There is alot of online tools available to use to promote your business. Some of which are:
Online:
Free Advertising sites such as Craigslist, Local Advertising Classifieds
Blogs are great as it builds credibility and you can put varying banners on them weekly to change things up and provide a fresh new look
I also submit to local employment agencies posting it as home based business.
Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, all the social media sites work well and SFI provides you with postings of your success to add to your pages.
Offline
I know that you did not ask specifically for offline but some of the tools I use for offline advertising utilizes the cards available through SFI. I hand out or leave in various spots the SFI cards.
Some of those spots include:
Unemployment office - I set them on the computer desks so that they are visible when on the internet. I also place them at the tables and on their community job post boards.
Grocery stores - I put them on the ads boards that sit inside the doors. The key to location on the board is near something that is for sale and that is where I use the TC cards to bring attention to the pricing of items.
I also ask the local variety stores if I can leave cards at their counters. I use the "This Card Could Change your Life!". It displays FREE clearly and gets people interested enough to take one and check out the site.

For SFI affiliates, what is the most overrated activity...and what is the most underrated activity?

This is a very good question. As a fairly new addition to the SFI family, what I find to be overrated is the Daily To-Do List.
1)I understand it is a good way to draw your attention to specific information and it ensures that you view every page on the site. The problem being, I find some days when I am short on time, I really only click and earn. I don't spend the necessary time to read and learn.
2) Pricebender Auctions are another overrated activity. I have tried and tried to win an auction but with no avail. It appears that alot of the same people win the auctions. Most of us do not have time to sit at our computers for hours and continuously click to win.
Now for the Underrated activity.
As stated, I am fairly new in the SFI family. I have read and read and read about Duplication. I have attended powerpoint presentations by my upline and they have been great. The problem being:
1) It is okay to state we need to duplicate but we need further information on how to actually do it. I am new to the internet, probably like many. I am sure this holds true for many of us who have joined due to "Retirement? Money?" etc. options.
What would be great is more Step-by-Step lessons with videos to learn how to do proper advertising or setting up Marketing Campaigns.
So although we have many lessons in our library I feel that Advertising and Marketing with the intent to Duplicate is underrated.

Since reading is so important to success, what book would be your #1 recommendation to SFI members and why?

This is a really good question. To me success is a matter of one's own mind. To help me keep motivated and inspired to become successful, I read many books that have been written by successful business authors and also books that inspire me to change my ways of thinking.
The one book that I am currently reading now is The Gift of Acabar by Og Mandino and Buddy Kaye. It really makes one stop, think and put perspective on your life and what is really important. I also read newsletters that help with Team Building. Although they relate to a "brick and mortar" environment, many of the principles can be applied to any form of team building which is one of the key elements in SFI.
The very first book I read is:
The First 90 Days: Critical Success Strategies for New Leaders at All Levels by Michael Watkins
Reading this and combining it with SFI Launchpad lessons, really helped me to understand the business. I hope this helps

What are the best facts, stories, and figures you can share with friends and family to gain their trust and get them enrolled in SFI?

This is a good question.
Personally I believe that truthfulness is the key thing to display when speaking of SFI to your friends and family. Explain to them that it is not a quick rich scheme, show them that there are people who have become successful in many ways. You can explain that you do not need to just do one thing, for example only duplicate to be successful or only sell items to be successful. You need to show them the many opportunities that are presented by SFI and point out that it is all done FREE! I usually bring my laptop and take them through an actual walk through where they can ask questions, see things as they are and just be nosey with the site before they sign up.
I find this helps as it is showing that there is nothing that SFI hides, there is no scam and that things are truly free.
Hope this helps

What is a good message I can use to greet my new PSAs?

The key thing when communicating with your new PSA's is to make them understand that you were once them and you had the same questions or confusion that they might be feeling now. I always like to interject examples of what I have gone through when first starting out and then provide them with reassurance.
You need to also get to know them as best as you can through an email. As them why they signed up and what their ultimate goals are by joining SFI.
Set a specific time when you will be emailing them back so that they can expect it and know that you have not just forgot about them. Remember to email them again on that set date and ask them how they are doing and do they have any quetions.
Communication is the best way to keep your PSA's active and involved in their business and by making it personal rather than strictly business in the beginning then they know that you are there for them and not just another associate on your belt.

What are the benefits of using the new AFFILIATE E-Cards...and what are some good ways to use them with my team?

In any business whether it is brick and mortar or internet based, recognition to any co-worker, affiliate or team player is essential and key.
The Affiliate E-cards represent the following in terms of their worth to you as a leader:
1) It shows your affiliates that you care about where they are and what they are doing
2) It indicates that you are a real person and that you do care about their success also;
3) Recognition inspires people to become more than they might have been without the relationship. Following an effective leader, people accomplish and achieve more than they may ever have dreamed possible.
4) These are powerful, yet simple, ways you can reward and recognize people. These are powerful, yet simple, ways to make the people you assist feel important and appreciated. After all part of your success is reliant on their success.
I have used them by watching their daily participation on the geneology report and sending out little recognition e-cards to keep them pumped up to continue to succeed.

Why is it important to have a good SFI account photo? And what makes a good photo?

In a physically disconnected world, where many of your networks and connections are made online, it’s more important than ever for people to sense your authenticity and your personality.
You’ve heard the old adage: “a picture is worth a 1,000 words.”
For example, if you’re an investment banker, you’d likely meet your potential clients face-to-face in some level of business attire. Maybe not a suit, but something appropriate. If you’re a bee keeper, you’re likely wearing something appropriate for that work, etc… In each of these cases it’s not much of an investment of time or money to hire a photographer to take a professional-looking headshot of you in your environment.
So determine what you want your photo to be reflective of and then use that photo.

SFI represents multiple income earning opportunities. Should I focus on just one, some, or ALL?

This is a good question to ask as many feel that jumping in and looking at multiple streams of income will allow them to earn better faster however, I believe that focusing on one task at a time will provide better and long lasting income potential.
You need to master one before moving onto a second one etc. I have attempted to do multiple methods at one time and it can be quit cumbersome and sometimes overwhelming. My experience is pick one that stands out to you and learn it to its fullest then move on.
SFI is not going anywhere any time soon so you will have the time to master many income avenues.

How can I build a successful SFI business when I have a team of inactive affiliates and doubtful customers for my TripleClicks store?
Susan Pearce, Aff (Ontario, CA)
3/23/2014 4:15 pm
Affiliate since: 12/27/2016, Power Rank: 99999999
Speaking from experience, when you have inactive affiliates you need to reach out to them to find out why they have become inactive. I found that most of the time, it was that they did not fully understand the business.
If you invest some time with them and they are responsive to you then you know that they will become active again.
The key to having successful affiliates is to turn those inactive ones into fully understanding, feeling part of a key aspect of your team and letting them know that you are truly there for them.
As for the Doubtful TripleClicks customers for your store, you must take into consideration that since TripleClicks is not like E-bay or Amazon or any other of the prominent presences as an E-commerce store on the web. You will need to get your store out in the public view. Utilize those that have purchased from you to put testimonials on your store so that it will create a sense of reassurance.
Advertise your product guarantee to ensure satisfaction and touch base with those that have looked at your store to help generate a sense of a real person behind your store.
Hope this helps
