I think there are several reasons people join and then do nothing. First, We are in a microwave society and constantly bombarded with the get rich quick programs. You know the one....make 30K in 30 days! When people join these, they expect instant results. When they don't get those instant results, they move on to something they think will solve their problems today.
I think some who join SFI expect to be making money IMMEDIATELY and have no idea of what it takes to actually build and maintain a business! I compare an "instant money businesses" to a lottery..they are incredibly lucky if it works, and not easy to duplicate those results in the future.
SFI offers so many tools that if an affiliate will simply take advantage of the opportunity, they can be successful. Learning one thing, getting good at it, and then moving to the next gives a powerful resource for their SFI business to grow over time.
When first reaching out to new affiliates, I let them know that if they are looking for a business that will sustain them for the future, SFI is their answer, but they need to treat it as a business instead of a game they are playing by devoting specific amounts of time and effort each day. I let them know that if they will get to know this business, and then help others succeed, they will create an even stronger business for themselves.
Finally, I always remember that you can't push a rope. Meaning, if someone really wants something, we can help pull them along, but we can't PUSH them into it. If they have to be pushed, you'll be out of breath and they'll be fighting you the entire way. Better to have others who need to be pulled along a bit, and who are actually making you stronger as a result.
