This depends on what is most important to you. If you are buying just to gain vp and not to get something you need or have use for then it will soon get stale and expensive as you pile up items you have no real use for. Then you become disillusioned.
If you love games. Then instead of the fb games and other apps, I recommend the EZ games. This means you will need t-credits. You enjoy your games and increase your vp via purchase as well as each time you use a t-credit. Build/earn as you have fun.
Love deals and auctions. PB is fabulous and the planned additions will only make it better. So again T-credits are a must. Just plan and have a good strategy for winning. (Tip: middle of the night auctions are often a bit easier to win.)
Transfer buying is a great way to increase your vp and gain status quicker. As I said before consistency is best when you cater to your needs on all fronts. Search TC for deals on what you need personally and buy those items. You have the satisfaction on getting a deal while improving your standing at the same time. Plus a steady flow of MRP to use for purchases later.
If you are really into business building and buy traffic, seo etc. then instead of using sources you generally find on the net, do so through the many avenues available on TC. Check the reviews of the stores and go for it. Know that conversion rates are low in our business dont say TC sources give poor results its the same everywhere. Less than 20% is quite good; less than 10 is still good too.
I guess what am saying is you got to make TC work for you and you for it. Its the backbone of our business, our source of income. Its our store yours and mine. If you owned a variety store and offered the same quality and priced products as a major chain. Would you buy from the chain or yourself? Whose product would you promote?
Purchase SMART cater to your needs what works for you not for the next person. Encourage your team to do the same. You will be happier. Happy people work best.

How do you make SFI not be overwhelming for yourself and team members?

Being "overwhelmed" is a state which affects just about every affiliate particularly when starting out. Generally, we tend to get that feeling as we rush to gain points to reach rank. So many of us fail to grasp the concepts because we skim through the information claim points and move on to the next topic. Then we start feeling the impact of information overload and being faced with the need to apply something we know we covered but just can't remember or are unsure of how to apply because we did not take the time to fully understand what we read. This leads to frustration and despondency.
So, what to do. I do not think we can get away from the mad rush for points so a plan is needed to get the most out of the information available. I know because I have experienced it myself and realize that it only dissipated as I got a better understanding about the program. A failure to "understand the program/SFI" is one of the top reasons why affiliates opt out. This is a problem that SFI recognizes and so both the launchpad lessons and the intermediate actions are structured to cover much of the same material (reinforcement which is lost if both are rushed through). Also when striving for the 24 hour bonus we are encouraged to choose from among the getting started actions or data submission. No stress there.
But we need to establish a review system; that's right re-read everything and not just once either- until we understand what it means and how to implement. Choose a topic for the day and concentrate on finding all information on it. The research can even be taken outside of SFI if necessary. But believe me between the ROS, keys to success, income training, forum, Ask SC, sponsor, up-line and down-line (yes quite often our down-line members are reading with understanding even better than we are- I know)we are covered.
Once you got the hang of a concept, implement it. Nothing gives a boost of self confidence as seeing good results from something you did. Improve your standards of operation by tweaking methods. Occasionally share a brief analysis/breakdown of various concepts through weekly mailer. This helps all concerned. You may choose from questions asked by team members - others often need the same assistance but fail to request it. Encourage team members to come to you when they need help. But this will only happen if trust has been developed so maintain clear, open lines of communication.
More importantly, create and regularly redefine manageable goals (include reaching out to your team) and a pathway to their fulfillment. Work tenaciously at achieving them and once you do, challenge yourself to a higher level of performance. Challenge your team also- nothing gets the juices flowing like a good old competition. The need to succeed will force a review of training material - eureka! another subject grasped, frustration eliminated, nerves calmed.

What are the best ways to stay in contact with PSAs and CSAs and how often is best?

These are the pointers I think work best:
1. Welcome PSA's and CSA's to your team asap after they join.
2. Advise affiliates of your availability for support, to answer their questions. Use the system or upline if you do not have or are uncertain of responses.
3. Prompt responses to any and all questions- give links so that they can find more indepth info on their own. This will encourage them to use the system and more often than not pick up additional tips. The more you learn, the more you earn
4. Send general group mailers minimum once per week.
5. Quick CHAT notes to affiliates "Do you need my help?" whenever you see them online.
6. Organize group meetings using methods like skype or free conferencing to create team strategies/goals based on response. Fortnightly or monthly.
7. Send mailer/email reminders of points needed to meet requirements such as E365 contest, rank etc.
8. Inspirational and congratulatory stream posts to bolster team confidence at least 3 times per week.
9. Alert affiliates when red flagged for deletion; highlight the benefits of SFI if they have not already blocked SFI the personal touch could reignite their interest.
10. Keep your leadership page up to date and exciting with news, congratulatory messages, giveaways, contests, tips etc. Include links to this page in all correspondence.

What is the best strategy for earning quickly with SFI?

So you want to earn commissions. Where does SFI get its money from to pay these commissions? From TC sales. So it stands to reason that your best bet is to increase those sales. How? SFI provides all the training you need to acquire those skills; so read as much as possible and implement what you learn. In the meantime, become a loyal customer and encourage everyone you know to do the same. In that way you will gain TC members, some of whom may go on to become affiliates.
Seek out ECA's and resellers to market their products on TC. Become an ECA yourself, there are many companies who offer drop shipping that you can partner with. Added variety on TC creates more customer appeal.
Consistently visit the affiliate center and complete your to-do's (daily). By combining the points you earn with those from TC sales/purchases you can pretty much guarantee your EA status each month. Reap the added bonuses by entering all contests and being a WAVE3 member.
Remember to grow your team of PSA's and TC members, train, support and encourage them to apply the same skills that you exercise. The CV and VP points will keep rolling in for all of you which will translate into the earnings that you crave.

To be a superstar you must be a leader. We know that leaders are readers. So give your team a test. Provide them with a document to read and invite them to contact you to discuss how you can use the information to improve your businesses. The ones who respond will be your potential superstars.
Its that simple. But remember, this is a test for you also. Have you read thee document so that you can give intelligent input to the followup conversation?

Are there any shortcuts to success in SFI for new affiliates?
EVELYN DANIEL, Aff (Antigua And Barbuda)

The only shortcut is to follow the plan. All too often we get caught up trying this and that which lead no where. Ultimately, we lose time and money only to return to the original road map. Stay the course, follow the basics, the rules of success, be consistent and persistent. Then and only then will we reap the success we seek. Its simple just not easy.
How do you become a superstar in SFI?

So you wants to become a superstar. How badly do you want it? Well, "the achievement of your goal is assured the moment you commit yourself to it." -Mack R. Douglas. Make this your primary or even sole goal. "Take up one idea and act on it. Make that one idea your life. Think of it, dream of it, and live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, and every part of your body be full of that idea and leave all other ideas alone. This is the way to success." -Unknown
That being said, know everything there is to know about this business by taking in all the training available, and implement what you have learned. "Learning is the beginning of wealth. Searching and learning is where the miracle process all begins. The great breakthrough in your life comes when you realize it that you can learn anything you need to learn to accomplish any goal that you set for yourself. This means there are no limits on what you can be, have or do."-Albert Einstein
Create mini goals and design ways to achieve them through daily action. Follow the Rules of (SFI) Success. Participate in all aspects of the business- contests, Wave3, E365, Pricebender, Forum, Ask SC, IAHBE, S-Builder, SO, ECA program etc. "You will not create a successful business by thinking about it. You will create a successful business ONLY by DOING...by TAKING ACTION every day. Every day, no matter what, make sure you're doing SOMETHING to further your business. If you're not, you're not even in the game, you're kidding yourself. No business becomes successful without daily focus and action."- Gery Carson.
Share this glorious opportunity with the world through advertisement and promotion of SFI, TC and its products. Once you enlist PSA's, ECA's and TC members support, encourage and teach them the business so that they too can have the same or even greater level of success. Ziglar and Hill sums it up "You can get everything you want if you help enough others get what they want." -Zig Ziglar and "It is literally true that you can succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed." -Napoleon Hill. Above all, be a good example. "A leader can shape his followers best by showing them the way forward rather than telling them about it." -Unknown
Remember, Being a successful entrepreneur is neither a full-time nor a part-time thing, its a lifestyle. "We all have two choices; We can make a living or we can design a life." -Jim Rohn. Choose the "Superstar" life through SFI; you need only to believe in yourself.

What are the signs that a new affiliate is going to be a good one?

I have seen all the answers and in many respects they are good- fast tracker, complete the training & actions, become EA etc. But I think that most of the answers suggest the person who will only make you money in the short term. I have seen persons for 2-3 months making TL and then fall off the grid. Personally, I would rate and admire the person who month after month completes all their to-do's (minus purchase possibly because they do not have the finance needed) but does not reach rank yet comes back the next month and does the same thing again or for that matter invests in being EA monthly with little financial returns. You have a dedicated PSA who really sees the big picture, has committed themselves to the program despite a financial handicap but will soar to the highest levels once they get the needed break. These are the ones who will generally ask the right question 'how do I get over my hurdle'- financial or otherwise.
How we respond as sponsors can in most cases be the deciding factor if the affiliate is good or not. Support and encouragement along the way is the deal breaker.
