One of the ways that may encourage your PSA's to respond to you and also give you a rating, is to use Google Translate if they are from different countries. It shows the person that you are willing to go that little extra mile to communicate and help.
I always encourage my PSA's and CSA's to learn something new daily about SFI and TripleClicks. I tell them that this is THEIR business, and to run a successful business one must have the knowledge it takes to make it successful. Always let them know that it's ok to ask for help and guidance.
Encourage them to read articles online about what it takes to succeed in this business. When a CSA or PSA reaches a milestone, send a gift certificate to show your congratulations, it works wonders to show that you see how hard they are working.

How do I get my downline to focus on duplication? How do I explain the importance of duplication to them?

I believe that the best way to show your affiliates the importance and success of duplication, is by you yourself. YOUR success will make then want to say, "hey, if she can do it, so can I." Myself, if my upline is not following their own advice, I would be hard pressed to want to follow them. but seeing all the badges and work they done, makes me think that I'd like to do the same thing. Encourage them to ask questions.

I've found that family and friends are actually some pretty tough customers to sell new idea's to. In my case, they have heard me time and time again say that I've finally found the best online business, only to have it crumble with no success at all.
So I believe the best way to approach family and friends is to succeed FIRST. Then you have something tangible to show them. You have results they can actually see, which in turn will spark an interest. I concentrate on my cold market for the time being. Once my business is off and running, then it's time to approach my family and friends with bragging rights. After all, they cannot dispute your success if it's right there in front of them!

What's the best way to approach a new PSA with regards to discussing their goals with them?

I recommend introducing yourself on a friendly level first. Keep it simple, and offer your assistance. First impressions are definitely important. Share YOUR goals first and see if your PSA reciprocates with theirs. I believe you must first establish some sort of common friendship, on a trust level, to get the most out of sponsoring. If all we send our PSA's is textbook answers, it doesn't really create the kind of relationship that is beneficial to the PSA in regards to them responding. It sounds cold.
Show them your a real person just like them, trying to reach the same goals that they are. People really respond to that and it works like a charm.
