What's best for team building...doing my own advertising or buying PSAs?

Each method is good. It depends on your circumstances and the people who see ads that are produced. It also depends on how you write your ads and where you place them. Every method is good. If you can place ads and they are successful, good! If you buy affiliates through S-Builder or through ECAs or through Bid and Build or whatever way that SFI provides for us, that's good, too. If you can afford to purchase affiliates and you don't have the time or the know-how to advertise well on websites, then use every available method that SFI and TripleClicks provide.
It is very important to make your decision at the beginning of your business endeavor and to make changes if something does not work well. Just try different ways and see what works for you.
Have a great day, and may you be successful as a Team Leader at all levels!

What are the best methods to distribute TripleClicks TCards to attract PRMs and increase sales?

No method is best. There are many ways to distribute gift cards. It depends on the persons who receive them and what they actually do with them. You can mail gift cards to family, friends, business associates or companies with whom you do business when you pay your bills. You can hand them out to people and tell them how to use them. You can leave them at restaurants in your tip. You can give them to salespeople in stores. You can give them out online as electronic gift cards (but be careful, because some people can take advantage of you). Just be creative.
It's like planting seeds. You scatter them and do not know which ones will grow well or not. You don't know whether that year's harvest will do well or not. The important thing is to keep going. something will definitely happen.
May you be successful.

How do you manage a large, active downline? How do you provide personalized attention for everyone?

SFI has created tools to help you do this. These include your Genealogy and the Team Mailer and the various others like the PSA Mailer and the messaging area. You can see how your affiliates are doing, use the Message Manager to reach one affiliate or many in various categories, and you can even use eCards to contact them and help them along. You can also teach your affiliates to use the tools as well, so that they can help their affiliates in their Genealogies as well.
Contact your team at least once a week. Reach out to others more often if you need to.

How can I convince my downline of the benefits of having a Standing Order without them feeling pressured?

Just tell affiliates that this choice exists and refer them to the Standing Order Section or the Launchpad Lesson dealing with this. Encourage them to log in and set up a Standing Order, but don't force them by saying that it is a requirement to set up a Standing Order, just as you would not force an affiliate to gain EA status. Let the messages generated by the SFI and TripleClicks Systems do their work. That's what they were created to do.
The best way to encourage affiliates to set up a Standing Order is by showing, by example, that you are doing the same thing. It shows up on your badges. What a wonderful idea!
May you find this helpful; and if you haven't set up a Standing Order yet, why not try it? You can change it or cancel it at any time.

Which is best...advertising individual TripleClicks products or the entire TripleClicks store?

Both are good. SFI has made it possible for us to do both. That is why QR Codes are included with the links to many products. It really depends on what advertising you want to do and who you want to reach and whether you want to advertise a particular product or a group of items or the entire store.
Whatever you would like to do, just be creative. Remember, you can advertise online and offline as well. It's really up to you.
Have a great time promoting TripleClicks!

Which of SFI's own banners are best for attracting new PSAs?

All banners have been created by the SFI leadership to help affiliates sponsor and grow their teams and to refer TripleClicks customers. They all are good. However, what works for some may not work as well for others. So it would be good to test and see which one works the best for you. It may also be that what works one month may not work the next. It may also be good to use different banners by rotating them. By this, I mean that you could use one banner one week or one month and then use the next one until you have used all of them. Then go back and use the first one again and go through the list again. Just try them and see how they work. It's just like planting seeds. You plant all different types, because you don't know how the harvest will turn out. One crop may do well; another may do not so well. Diversifying is the key here.
I hope this will be helpful to you. Have a great day!

How can I get my affiliates active with TripleClicks?
Jeannette Gerrard, Aff (District of columbia, US)

When I send an affiliate my welcome message, I encourage him/her to learn everything about SFI by starting at the Start Button and the SFI Basics link. and encourage progress to the Launch Pad lessons. I also explain to the affiliate about the gift certificate and the co-ops. Later, I encourage affiliates to get a Standing Order, if possible, or to get some TCredits to bid at the auctions. I let affiliates know that at some point it is good to try TripleClicks and purchase from their business, just as a store owner or clerk buys from their store instead of some other place.
Since buying and selling items at TripleClicks is the lifeblood of this organization, it only seems wise to make use of this store to earn income, whether it is referring customers to it or selling items to your customers offline or referring an ECA. You must be acquainted with TripleClicks if you are to tell others about SFI. That's why we have so many wonderful tools to use.
If an affiliate cannot invest money at this point, it might be wise to start out with Wave3. Perhaps an affiliate could sponsor through the Wave3 Gateway Site and begin to see results.
All throughout my time at SFI, I give little tidbits to my affiliates in newsletters or in the Stream about TripleClicks in some way, in order to encourage them to jump in and try it.
May this answer help in some way.

How do you get your affiliates engaged and conversing regularly with you?
Jeannette Gerrard, Aff (District of columbia, US)

Affiliate since: 11/13/2001, Power Rank: 74
Not everyone will be responsive to you, but that is okay. You make the effort from the beginning.
First, send your welcome message (making sure you include your photo). Keep communicating weekly (or more often). If anyone does respond, even just thanking you for your message, respond immediately, if possible. Answer any questions or comments you may receive. Of course, this means you have offered your assistance and requested feedback from them in your messages. Offer rewards for milestones they have reached, like reaching EA or any Team Leader Level. Don't just write email messages, but use the Stream and maybe even the Forum. Just be there and prove yourself a friend, in good times and bad times. Get to know them as real people, for that is what they are.
If there are those who just don't respond, just keep writing to them weekly as long as they are affiliates. The only way you would stop writing to them is if you were asked by an affiliate to stop writing. In that case, the affiliate wants to opt out. If that is the case, show the affiliate how to opt out and just move on.
Just remember, don't be that affiliate who does not make an effort to communicate.

How far should sponsors go to help their affiliates move forward, is there a point you should not go beyond?
Jeannette Gerrard, Aff (District of columbia, US)

Sponsors should help their affiliates by answering any questions they may have or helping them learn where things are on the SFI and TripleClicks sites. They should keep in touch with them and encourage them and motivate them.
Rules should be pointed out by sponsors if they see that an affiliate is trying to do things in a manner that would not be ethical or honest or could potentially be harmful to others. He/she should report to Support anything that does not look right or any messages from affiliates that are hurtful or abusive or that are not written according to the rules and policies of the business.
A sponsor should never do work for another affiliate. Each affiliate is responsible for logging in and working each day. Sponsors must not take over that responsibility.

How can we get across to our affiliates that investing minor (at least) amounts of money into SFI is smart?
Jeannette Gerrard, Aff (District of columbia, US)

I think the tools provided in the training and in all of the materials produced by SFI and TripleClicks really does that work for us. It is not required to invest, but you still must know about investing money if you show this business or TripleClicks to them. So I believe that just sharing with affiliates how this business works and letting them learn all there is to learn and helping affiliates to understand that it takes time and money to grow any business is our job.
Don't be an arm twister. Just let the program speak for itself and encourage them gently but firmly, if they try to get you to provide funds to them or try to get you to do the work for them, that this is a real business and that they must do what they see you do. The badges you gain will speak for you. You set the example for them and show them by your actions that you mean what you say. By doing this, you will gain affiliates who will be willing to work and will filter out those who just want to see what this is all about and do not really want to get involved. The ones who may have to struggle in the beginning but who really want to work will see this business for what it is and not give up.
