I almost gave up on SFI. What did you do to keep pushing forward?

The truth is that I gave up completely, the first time.
The second I started back up was about 6 years later. I thought it was cool that this company was still in existance. Also, I noticed that they had a few more products and a little better plan - so I came back. While back, I "almost" gave up again, but the thing that stopped me was determination.
I realized that it was going to be completely impossible to EVER become successful in anything if I were to quit when it seemed like it wasn't producing the anticipated results. So I quickly changed my expectations and started doing a little more. This way, I expected less, but put in more.
The truth is, right now, I will NEVER quit SFI; I see the great potential behind it and am fully convinced.

Thousands of SFI affiliates are doing the same thing. How do you stand out from the crowd?

I love this question...
You are absolutely correct; there are many doing the same thing. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that there is a problem. The fact that there are many people doing the same thing shows unity. The more people are doing the same thing, the more the SFI name is becoming household.
Once the name has been heard enough, people's reception of SFI becomes much easier. The easier it is the better it is for marketers to "sell" the SFI/TC name.
Do you really want to break away from what everyone else is doing or do you just want your "piece of the pie?" I have learned that I am not trying to be the "big-baller;" moreso, I just want to experience my piece of this great SFI boom.
Think about it - would u rather have 100% of a thousand dollars or 1% of a million dollars. Focus on getting your little share of the BIG pie!

How can you build your SFI business on a tight budget?

I am so glad to hear someone finally ask this question. I believe this is the BEST question that has been asked on Ask SC. Many of our affiliates are starting off with limited funds to spend on expensive "start-ups." As a matter of fact, there are quite a few that have experienced some setbacks because they previously invested in other companies and as a result of them losing a portion of their wealth, they entered into SFI.
I believe the best way is to first establish what your monthly investment will be. If you are working with limited funds, you need to establish early, how much you can reasonably invest in your business on a monthly basis. Once you determine that, then you can determine which aspect of SFI you wish to utilize, using the amounts your vowed for investment. There are always two main options - build through creating affiliates or build by selling products. Most of the time, it is easier to accomplish one or the other, rather than trying to do both at the same time.

Above all else, what is the ONE THING that has made the difference for you in succeeding with SFI?

I believe that the one single thing that has made the biggest difference for me in SFI was the PriceBender auctions. After I won my first auction, I started to see the power of the auctions and how lucrative it could actually be. Now, I am using the auctions and allowing them to work for me. It is so much fun, not only winning the auctions, but also building my business at the same time.
How do I get my downline members to participate in my team contests?

Getting anybody to ever participate in team contests is tricky. It is a delicate balance of recruiting and incentives. I'll explain...
There are many people that simply are "no-shows" when it comes to SFI. They may signup, but they never really materialize. Some of the contests that we do are based around many of the "no-shows." We tell folk that we will give them gifts for the # of new signups. They will go to great lengths to get signups, only to realize that they aren't actually staying. Your PSA will then become frustrated because they did all that work, and their new signups aren't real. They will NOT want to participate in another contest because they feel betrayed.
Then, you have the option of incentivizing your team to even participate - be careful though, because it can always appear as though you are "buying out" your team.

How do you explain to prospects what SFI is about in a simple way?

SFI is simply another company that offers the opportunity for interested individuals to earn income through network marketing. SFI provides another stream of income for those looking to earn some money and harness the power of the Internet.
What I have learned is to be upfront and honest and people respect you much more - so I'll just keep on being honest.
How do I get my a2a friends to offer positive support and assistance?

What I have learned is that I don't accept EVERYONE as my friend; neither do I try to get MANY friends. I have been on SFI for 5 years... I only have 53 friends - the reason...?
Of my 53, 46 of them are constantly called on and all 46 give positive support. I have basically hand-picked them and gotten rid of anything less than worth my time. Some would disagree, but why have friends if they can't help you - that's my thought.
I have 7 friends who are simply Platinum friends. I don't usually use them for advice, unless I REALLY need something and my others don't know. Basically, ONLY have friends that'll help...

I believe the best way to do it is the way that my sponsor did it for me - I believe it was perfect!!!
What he did for me was allow me to be incentivized to do great work. When I became EA, he responded by saying that if I did it again next month, he would buy me some PSA's... I liked that, so I did it again next month.
He incentivized me again and I did it again; while I was actually receiving affiliates from S-Builder. I loved it.
Long story short... I realized that if I am getting a few affiliates from him, I could double my efforts by purchasing shares of S-Builder for myself... Bingo!!! My growth started happening more quickly and I am now seeing results. I LOVED this...

I have experience with in-person presentations, direct mail, trade shows, handing out biz cards, network at events, etc. Can offline marketing be as effective for my SFI business as online marketing?

I believe "marketing is marketing." Whether you are online or offline, it is still marketing. When you are online marketing, you have a further reaching arm. You have the ability, with online marketing, to reach a greater audience.
In offline marketing, you have the ability to reach a more genuine & receptive market. What I mean by that is that those that actually sign on will be "real people" and they will also be people that you, as a leader, have already connected with. They already trust you and know you, so a large portion of your leadership has already been taken care of.
Again, the thing that I want you to remember is that whether you market in person or behind a computer - KEEP MARKETING!!!!!!

I believe this is a very interesting question... Are you asking if we had $100 monthly extra or if we have a one-time $100?
If it is a monthly... I'd by the 125 T-credit SO for $36.
I would buy the monthly S-Builder SO for $22.
Lastly, I would probably look around and look to buy some affiliates from other "reputable" ECA's. There are many folk who are marketing and doing it very well. They are receiving great responses and I believe that I have seen some great ones that I'd be willing to spend $45 monthly on their affiliates. There is one that will give you 50 affiliates for that price. If I can get 2 working affiliates out of that 50, I'm fine.
