First of all let me define what we mean by ads that yields best results. There are three levels of results that we expect when we put ads across the internet.
1. Exposure or Impression - meaning our ads was seen by our prospective affiliates. This will depend on how good we are in positioning our ads across the internet.
2. Hits or Clicks - Meaning our prospective affiliates click on our link or ads. This depends on how good we are in making our ads. Which includes our wordings and images.
3. Sign-Up - This time, our prospective affiliates filled up the form and submit. This depends how good we are in making or using a landing page.
These three should happen before we can say that we are effective in our advertising.
In SFI what we can track are the hits/clicks and the sign-ups. You can find it here https://www.sfimg.com/PowerTools/HitTracking.
But before you can use that tool you need to put a keycode in your gateway link. Keycode is any number you add in your SFI ID found in your link. You put dot (.) between your ID number and your chosen key code.
Example You use gateway http://www.sfi4.com/xxxxxxxx.4000/Real2. xxxxxxxxx is your SFI ID the 4000 is the Key code you assigned.
Every time someone clicks on that link it will be recorded on the Hit tracking page I gave above. everytime the one who clicked signed up you can see it on your genealogy with Key code 4000.
Now, This is important. You must assign different Keycode in all your ads. So to keep track on all your keycodes you must record them in excel.
This is the way I record them in excel.
First column - I put any name of my ads that I can easily recall. Example. PTC 1 - If my ads is put at PTC site.
Second column is the Date when I places my ads.
Third column is the Website name example: Ojooo
Fourth column is the Website URL.
Fifth column is the Gateway link I used.
Sixth Column is the Keycode I used.
Seventh Column is the number of hits
Eighth Column is the number of sign ups
Ninth column is the Date when I counted the number of hits and the number of sign-ups.
By this I exactly know which ads is the most effective.
Note: Do not use these key codes because this is use by SFI.
1101 for affiliates from S-Builder.
1104 for PSAs To Go/PSAs won at Auctions
1200 for affiliates who were not referred to SFI by anyone.
1300 for TripleClicks members via the TC Tell-A-Friend feature.
