Alvin;
I don't budget my participation in SFI in terms of how many persons I need to sponsor because the odds of finding good affiliates are not so easily predictable. Suppose the chances of finding an active affiliate in a PSA togo package might be 1-25 then you could need one 50 pack per month to have 2 being active. But either one or both of those could become inactive after 1 month.
You might have better success with an affiliate you've sponsored yourself or attracted personally with a postcard/lapel pin/flyer but it's difficult to predict the ratio of quality versus tire-kickers. And even of those it's impossible to know who will duplicate and who will not. The answer to your question then would be 'as many as you can'. But will that be enough either?
What I'm saying here is that determining a specific number is not only extremely untrustworthy but it could also be counterproductive to your motivation. If the numbers don't turn out to match your expectations in a given month, will your disappointment quell your efforts in the next?
I suggest that instead of aiming for a specific number of affiliates, you might target how much you are willing to spend instead and be happy when the returned affiliates exceed your anticipation in a given month. Keep firmly in mind that success in SFI will take time and patience over the long term to achieve. Having a magic number in your mind could lead to disappointment if/when in a month, you fail to achieve it.
Budget money for investing in affiliates;
1. Money for buying PSA packages from SFO and/or PSA packages from ECA. (I personally find the ECA ones slightly cheaper and of somewhat better quality but this is only from my own limited experience.
2. Money in T-Credits to buy PSA in auctions but also getting bonus ones in Spin/Win while also getting Vpoints just from bidding.
3 Money spent for gift cards and advertizing flyers/cards.
4. Investing in S-Builder. (I personally really recommend these as they seem to build up a residual effect of ongoing affiliates.)
I've said this before and i doubtlessly will many times again. 'Success WILL come to you if you are willing to wait for it while you're also working for it'.
Cheers
