The questions you ask can make or break a prospecting effort because the more thought-provoking your questions are, the more your prospects will pay attention and take you serious. This may result in providing you with sincere answers and a fair understanding of their objectives and by understanding what they truly want to accomplish, you have a better chance of delivering what may result in conversion.
Always remember that your questions are a critical element in how your prospect perceives you. In this regard questions may not only be important to convert a prospect, they may be more important to get potentially serious affiliates to your team.
Though you asked for one important question but personally, I am not at peace to name just one because there are various important questions depending on who the prospect is and the circumstance because no two people are the same so I will attempt to enumerate some below:
1. The first question should be cordial and try to ask wow question which your competitors may not have asked. For example hi the weather looks so unfriendly today how are you coping and you must be determined to brace this storm....well my name is xxxxxx, yours?
2. I need to brace it also especially last year with the economy in free fall I was able to overcome some major financial problems.......how did you fare last year?
3. Oh very sorry but are you presently making any plans to overcome your financial problems, probably you have tried and failed or not at all?
4. You are correct there are few to trust but how do you think you can trust one?
5. Oh of course I have been involved in one for some time where you are not required to pay anything upfront or mandated to buy or sale something....I decide whatever by myself....will this sound like a trusted one?
6. Thanks that is kind of you but you really have to work hard to ensure your success, do you really believe in hard work of such?
7. You are reasoning like me....if you have the opportunity will you want to make a financial investment where you make the decisions and call the shorts, rather than someone else making the decision for you and calling the shorts?
8. In that case are you interested in working for yourself, instead of someone’s employee?
9. Do you care for coffee lets discuss this further you are sounding more and more interesting because I am gaining a lot from this conversation?
10. Thanks [now at the coffee table] will you like to work for yourself online and are you internet savvy?
11. Well irrespective it does not really matter...do you believe people can learn and understand a simple income program?
12. Do you see failure as a truncation of future success or a learning curve?
13. You have a very wonderful personality, do you persist until you get things right or you easily get frustrated and stop trying.
14. In that case I am tempted to introduce you to a wonderful opportunity if you will take advantage, will you sir/ma because I hardly do this?
15. Good to hear can I have your contact details to send you an overview of what I have in store for your?
16. Thanks all the best, you seem to have made a wonderful decision you will not regret.
You can figure out from these questions the most important ones based on the prospect in question and the responses to some of these questions as your conversation progresses because I am discussing with an abstract person. On a general note, the questions on persistence, investment and own boss sound off as credible ones to suspect who may be a potential serious affiliate, but leave some room for error margin.
