The qualities one needs to succeed in SFI are fairly much the same qualities needed to succeed in any endeavour.
Self motivated: One needs to realise that success is up to himself - not the sponsor, co-sponsor or even the company. They can all be great, but you have to do motivate yourself and do the work yourself.
Self-disciplined: One needs to get in and do what has to be done without someone else telling you what to do and when to do it. You are your own boss, and must learn to discipline yourself to manage your time and resources wisely.
Willingness to learn: There is a lot to learn about successfully working the SFI business. To succeed you must have a teachable spirit; a willingness to learn and admission that you don't have all the answers. Must not be timid about asking for advice and then working out what is useful and how to apply it for yourself.
Good Communicator: In a business like SFI you must be able to communicate effectively with your team, your prospects - whether they be ECA, PRMs or new affiliates, and a2a friends.
Be a Team Player: Because SFI is a team business, you must be a team player and be willing to share your helpful experiences with others just starting out, or needing guidance. For any individual to succeed, the whole of SFI needs to succeed, so it is vital that we support each other.
Persistence: Anyone who succeeds at anything put many hours, weeks, months, even years into it before success finally came. The world is full of quitters who never succeeded at anything, but those who persevere are the ones who will succeed.
In SFI we need to persistently login every day and do our to-do-lists. We need to persistently keep communicating with our team, regardless if it may seem like a lost cause. We need to persistently keep sending out those advertisements...
Have a Dream: Having a dream is what gives someone a reason to do something. Dream big and don't let dream-stealers pull you down. They will never succeed because they have no reason to succeed. They don't want anything badly enough to try hard enough. The Bible says, "without a vision the people perish" and it's just as true for individuals.
Be Committed to a Plan: To succeed it is essential to have some plan in place as to how you will succeed. You can't hit a target with your eyes shut. You need to make sure that you are actually sticking to your plan, and measuring your progress against the goal you set for yourself.
Believe in yourself, the company, and God: You must believe that you can succeed, no matter what. You must believe that SFI is the vehicle by which you can succeed and you must believe that God wants you to succeed. You are his child and he loves you and wants for to have an abundant life. If you think you are worthless, and don't deserve to succeed, you won't. You will pull the rug out from under yourself.
Be a Doer, not a Procrastinator: There is no time like the present. When you get an idea, write it down and act on it as soon as possible. If you get an idea for a product you might create to sell on TripleClicks, start on it today and work out how long it may take to complete. When trying to work out how to earn the number of VP you want for the month write it down and start working towards it NOW. Don't take ages and ages to make a decision. Waiting often ends up in the decision making going out of your hands, because the end of the month will be upon you and it will be too late then to act.
Be Willing to Admit and Learn from your Mistakes: If you slip up some month, because you procrastinated or didn't follow your plan for whatever reason, don't be discouraged and beat yourself up. Admit you made a mistake and see that as a learning experience. Learn from it and do better next time.
This may not be a comprehensive list, but for the moment it's all I can come up with. I may think of something else later, but if I procrastinate I might not get my answer submitted to ASK SC. lol
