In SFI business, affiliates constitute a major live-wire for your survival as a business person. Just like your own offspring, you can afford to help them too little. I therefore believe that there is no such thing as TOO much unless you are unable to respect the fine line between the permissible limits. You do have an obligation to help your affiliates to succeed in this business and to achieve the best success possible. Your physical, moral and or financial help to them is very vital in that quest. It is better too much than too little because you never know how much help they may need at any particular time because of individual differences and the vicissitudes of every day business.

Helping your affiliates is one viable way to help yourself. Since there is no way you can ever help yourself too much, it follows therefore that there is no way you can ever help your affiliates too much. The bottom-line though is to always respect the fine line between genuine help and pampering. That is the key.

You also need to be conscious when rendering help to your affiliates that they are your business partners and not employees or dependent siblings. Therefore, what really matters is to build a relationship with them based on mutual trust. If that is in place, all help can not be too much and it will be mutually beneficial to all parties. Just do it within decent and acceptable limits. That is all.

From my experience with SFI business, I believe you do not need to do anything extraordinary to gain maximum support from your upline. What you need do is the little routine things SFI recommends you do to grow your business. Do not forget that your upline is an affiliate too just like you. He/She is also someone else’s downline. If you know exactly what you as an affiliate expects from your downline, do those exact same things and you will gain the support of your upline. Every upline I know wants his/her downline to succeed in SFI. This is because if the downline is succeeding, the upline succeeds as well. Specifically, I believe if do the following diligently, you will automatically gain the support of your upline.

1. Be serious and diligent with your SFI business.
2. Pay real attention to duplication.
3. Advertise and promote your SFI business very robustly.
4. Stay in touch with your upline by initiating communications.
5. Remember to assist your upline mark his/her anniversaries.
6. Find ways to also motivate your upline as much as you can.
7. Join the co-operative of your upline if there is any.
8. Help promote the products from your upline if he/she is also an ECA.
9. Relate with your upline as you will relate with any business partner.

Yes you can assist any new ECAs you refer to set up their stores but that assistance should be within some limits. In my opinion, the most beneficial assistance you can render to any ECAs you refer is to encourage them to study and be very familiar with SFI products listing rules. That done, encourage them to ensure they comply fully with the rules when listing their products. If they follow your advice, they will not have any major listing challenges that may warrant your intervention unduly.

The next step is to address the common concerns of many new ECAs. Some of these concerns usually center on:

How will I list my products?
How do I promote my products?
How do I package and ship my products?
With what currency do I sell my products?
How do I get paid for any products I sell?
What does it cost me to list my products?

These concerns may be infinite and many may actually arise after the ECA has read the listing rules. I believe the best assistance you can render your new ECAs at this juncture is to address these concerns and related ones as best you can but within limits. Because of these limits and ECA individuality/independence concerns, it may be preferable to allow the ECAs themselves to raise these issues with you before you address them. That to my mind is the best way to avoid undue interference in the business affairs of your new ECAs.

By all means YES. Acknowledge them and appreciate them too. Every affiliate is an asset or at the very worst a potential asset. Even the one that had stayed away for a long time and returns should be welcomed with plenty of enthusiasm. The reasons why an affiliate may stay away from the business could be very many and varied too with some clearly personal. That is why you should welcome them back with enthusiasm irrespective of why they stayed away. My advice is that you should take such persons through the ropes again as you ordinarily would a new affiliate. Specifically on your own affiliate, I believe you should do the following:

1. Send her a very cute welcome back E-card.
2. Ask her through same method if she needs any specific help from you.
3. Let her know the advantages and or benefits of working the business daily.
4. Volunteer to help her understand the business more if that is her problem.
5. Teach her the economic use of time in SFI business if her problem is not enough time to do the business.
6. Teach her patience and how to plan long-term if not making quick money is her problem.
7. Emphasize to her that if she does not work her business herself, no one will.
