Should I buy PSAs or learn how to sponsor them myself?

I must admit to buying PSAs. It was a good move to set up a SO for S Builder as it recruited while I learned how to advertise. Quality of PSAs who sign up is difficult to guarantee as for some the time is not yet right for them to work with us. This is perhaps where sponsoring PSAs ourselves is very useful as we can at least be sure of two way communication before they sign up.
I suspect some sign up via an informative page without a deep understanding of the business and its demands to be treated seriously. A lot of opportunities on the internet are associated with quick get rich results which are not usual results but some of the exceptions. By sponsoring yourself you have a conversation with a PSA before they sign up so you have the chance to explain it is a real business that can build up a second income even to the point where it can become the main income if we work at it.
I doubt that many would expect a thorough training program but SFI gives it freely and gives a guide too, the sponsor to guide the new PSAs. I will always remember learning one critical fact about business opportunities: people join people not opportunities. Take good advantage of that and recruit personally if possible to ensure the relationship works well for your recruit and for the team building that is the strength of SFI.

What should I do when I receive inactive CSAs?

Even if they seem inactive it might just be that their time was not yet right. Now it is;) I have found people do not sign up to work at a corporation. They sign up to be part of a team and grow. Now they've found you they now have another chance to get serious with your encouragement and support. Go make a difference ;)
Let them know you are there not just for the good times but when they need help you are alongside them sharing their journey to success. Pick up the challenge of helping them to become active. Show them how to grow as you have done and are doing. A lot of us join and get overwhelmed with just how much information is available to help us...to the point of not getting a clear overall picture. This is our opportunity as co-sponsors to help as much as we can. Show willing and share your hints and tips and keep everyone informed as to what works well and what's changing so they can get in on the opportunities rather than stay on the sideline.
I have seen it work as I had someone red flagged when re-assigned to me and he took up my team mails and started to work successfully so never give up...they need your help.

What is the most valuable thing you learned in your first year in SFI?

Self-belief. To elaborate, I found myself in Month 2 having qualified as Gold Team Leader and almost attaining PTL that I had to repeat the process from scratch all over again. Did I get deflated and give up? No! I found the forum and contributed as well as look at some of the posts that show on the HOME page as we log into SFI and also used ASK SC to find the practical answers that enhance the information I learned from Launchpad and Basics.
I was a director in corporates and still am although for the twenty years before I retired I taught Computing. For three years, I searched out many opportunities before I was introduced to SFI by my sponsor. I was very lucky to have him. Not because he held my hand here in SFI but rather that he introduced me. The rest was and is up to me. That second month when I asked myself what now? I found my own answers had already been found by those contributors in Forum and ASK SC who shared their own experiences and enhanced my learning. Now I pay forward and share my experiences and learning with my team. Knowing how desperate for answers that empowered me to remain after the first month I try to ensure my team have the best experience in SFI.
Believe in your abilities and skills. learn as much as you can as thoroughly as you can. Do re-read from time to time the Launchpad and Basics as sometimes even the best of us will forget something we learned that might now be the answer we need to progress further still.

How do you convince your life partner that investing in your SFI business is prudent?
Philip Rees, Aff (United Kingdom)

Prudent is when the investment is seen to be worthwhile. There are a number of ways SFI provides for us to make a worthwhile income. These all involve some element of time and money. Initially we invest a lot of time in learning via Launchpad and Basics so we can make a good effort and get suitable rewards. I looked around for three years at various opportunities but SFI is the first to gather all in one place and be so supportive.
Initially, I looked to recruit affiliates as duplication is a powerful feature of many affiliate programs and in SFI they have an excellent system. Lately though I have been helping my team whether CSA or PSA to recruit ECAs under them in TripleClicks as the sales TripleClicks make allow us to earn VP for the tasks we do. The attraction of getting ECA sign ups is the royalties of 10% of sales we can earn for life.
So review what you are investing in time and money and see the pathway ahead that you can show your life partner your road map of goals ahead.

What are the benefits of organizing a contest for your downline?

I like organizing contests for my team because it shares the excitement of this wonderful opportunity. To set a target and meet it by a deadline is satisfaction enough for many of us but to share that and reward even in a small way with our team is surely something positive and worthwhile.

What encouragement can I give to an affiliate who feels he or she is getting nowhere with SFI?

Remind them with the help of the Benefits and Compensation plans that anyone can make a successful income with SFI. I am quoted by my friends for the phrase I coined "Set no limits".
It may be that if they feel they are getting nowhere with SFI that he or she has set some limits somewhere. At no time does anyone have to pay to sign up. For recruiting and supporting others who sign up there are rewards that all account for commissions, rank and rewards. SFI has many streams of income although some appear to concentrate on recruit 5 who in turn do the same and take out Standing Order to generate commissions.
There are other options. Review with your affiliate who feels he or she is getting nowhere to see where strengths lie. It might be that running an ECA store is the pathway to success or if they are able to generate leads that Pay Per Action will be beneficial.
We all have different abilities and skills so by reviewing where strengths lie should help him or her to focus on what is possible rather than think as they don't excel in every possible way in SFI that they are getting nowhere. From the start they signed up so they are ahead of many others who missed out on this excellent opportunity.

I see that there are ECAs in my local area who have not yet listed any products. How can I/we encourage them to become active ECAs?

By already being ECA I have listed items so I offer to my Team who I help recruit ECAs as well as ECA I recruit that I will help them to list the first item.
That I hope takes away the initial inertia which might be felt.
As my team knows I use stream messages as well as Team newsletters to broadcast our ECAs so help them to connect and advertise. Indeed my ECAs are very appreciative of my broadcasts and other help I give so what I outline is working practice that does provide results.

I need a mentor. What's the best way to find a mentor for SFI?
Philip Rees, Aff (United Kingdom)

SFI is all about mentors as the more we learn the more SFI and TripleCLicks grows and helps us to grow too.
The trick is to find where the mentors are: Forum and ASK SC are a wealth of resource that actually help us to correctly understand the training that is given freely in SFI.
We are all business people so we are each responsible for our own progress in business too. SFI provides a sponsor and co-sponsor but more it provides ASK SC and Forum to be able to get the answers we need. Don't rely on others to do the work we ourselves should be doing. I always refer to SFI as a system of earning while learning.

How do you deal with PSAs who you offer unconditional support but still rate you poorly?
Philip Rees, Aff (United Kingdom)

Simply put - I do not deal with them. Rather, I deal with myself. We have in our teams many people from many cultures and countries. Some will not be willing to openly admit that they might be struggling to make progress despite an awesome sponsor.
External pressures affect us all, some more than others. Take no offense if people do not rank you highly rather seek out anything that might benefit from review and revision that is in our own power to deal with is my way of dealing with this.
Take comfort from your review and if necessary any revision of what we do so that someone's judgement does not seem so hurtful as might be inferred by the question. Remember our own response to this will also affect how we deal with others.
I used to teach my students that our worst enemies clean our teeth in the mornings and night. Take comfort that you do your best and you will never feel you have to be perfect in the eyes of others so you can do unconditional support without being wounded by poor rating.

When faced with negativity in promoting SFI, how do you respond and what path do you take moving forward?

To be fair it is not a situation that can be won by arguing. The best advice I heard was being spoken by Bod Allen that if its not our time to work together then its not our time.
If you have a NO or other forms of negativity then be happy because you have just been given permission to move on to the next person who needs to hear your success story and be offered the same opportunity you enjoy. There are clever crafty marketing ploys you can become familiar with over time but I suspect most who come to SFI are not so equipped.
Your experience in SFI will have informed you already that this is real and attainable even if it takes a while. All worthwhile real businesses take a while to grow and succeed. Your success will show and eventually those with whom you have talked or emails or written to might see your success and return to ask you how. Until that time just keep moving on to the next person with you eyes calmly fixed on your future knowing you will get where they will want to be.
