What is SFI's most important tool to use for building a successful business?

For me, the most important SFI tool is the Genealogy Report. In reality, it is much, much more than just a report.
The filter tools is amazing. I can see who is advancing and who might need some help. If someone needs a little help I can go to the Gift Certificate tab and send a gift.
I can send group messages to high achievers or send a group message to those who have not logged in for a long time.
Click on all the tabs on the Genealogy report. You will be amazed at what you can learn about and how you can help your team.

How do you prevent people from preying on your downline and convincing them to join other programs?

While we can't control what our downline does in regard to other programs and businesses, we can certainly be a great SFI role model. We have the opportunity to be a role model every time we send out a team message or communicate directly.
For our business to be successful, our downline needs to have confidence in SFI and so in building their own business. Our team messages can present SFI in positive terms using our own experience and the information SFI provides. Pointing out the unique features and free support certainly will put SFI in the better perspective. If a downline member goes elsewhere, our message to them will be a reason to come back when the other opportunities turn out to be less than they expected.

How do you convince someone that they can earn a substantial income with SFI?

Be sure to learn all about the SFI business model before attempting to convince someone that they can earn a substantial income. There are plenty of people earning good income in SFI. The important thing is those successful people learned about the SFI business and put what they learned into practice.
The best information to learn and know is the "Compensation Plan" and the "Compare SFI to Other Business Opportunities".
When you speak to someone about SFI, you will want to explain that SFI is an established business with multiple sources for creating income. Affiliate marketing is a tried and true method of business building that makes use of duplication and leverage. As Affiliates, we are not giving money to each other. Every time we spend money or promote a sale of a product, we receive a benefit, something of value. This is a real business. We receive commissions on direct sales. And as we build our business, we receive more shares in the Profit Pool of all TripleClicks sales combined.
Once you have explained these important points in your own words, you can invite the person to sign up without cost or obligation for free and instant access to all of SFI's reference, training and marketing material. Most people truly interested in earning money and doing something to earn it will be convinced.

Are there any shortcuts to success in SFI for new affiliates?
Ken Hermonat, Aff (Michigan, US)

I think there are two kinds of shortcuts when thinking about a business. There are shortcuts to try to get out of doing things (which is not productive), and there are shortcuts to avoid unnecessary repetition or inefficient processes.
The latter kind of shortcut can also be called "working smart" instead of "working hard".
So, in SFI to work smart, we need to know our business well (learn the Basics and understand the essence of what we learn in the Launchpad). Then use that information to create a plan to reach our goals. We have excellent tools for reporting, communicating and planning from our Affiliate Center. These tools can help us use our time wisely and productively.
This gives us "working smart" shortcuts to success.

Should I encourage or discourage my PSAs who want to become Team Leaders right away?
Ken Hermonat, Aff (Michigan, US)

Affiliate since: 12/25/2001, Power Rank: 99999999
If one of my PSAs wants to become a Team Leader, I consider that to be a positive situation. I believe it is important to encourage someone to reach the goals they have set for themselves.
I also believe it is important to explain the ways to become a Team Leader with or without a growing team. Team Leaders do receive monthly benefits of CSAs and TCredits. So there is good reason to encourage them as long as they know the ways to reach their goal.
How do Eager Zebra games factor in to building a successful SFI business?

As a business factor, the Eager Zebra games are not so much about us playing them (which I love), but marketing the games. Buying TCredits as our Standing Order is great for our personal EA status, as well as all our downline. But if we market the games, we have the opportunity to increase our incomes greatly!
Look for all the ways to promote Eager Zebra games from our Affiliate home page, both Training and Marketing. It all works!
Why don't more people work towards advancing in SFI?

I think most of the advertising that is done, both from SFI and the advertising we, as Affiliates, do is often very global and weakly targeted. Even targeted ads will produce people who are not actively seeking an online opportunity, but are trying to earn credits or clicking on links to earn revenue.
When these kinds of leads sign up, it isn't at all about an opportunity, but completing a task and just moving on. As a rule, those sign ups will end up red-flagged in a year. Our opportunity, in this case, is to send periodic team mail with creative subject lines and enticing invitations to try out something that could change their lives. It's like fishing in the ocean, but sooner or later there will be a new contact.

How many hours a week do I need to devote to SFI to become successful?

You will know how much time to devote to SFI to become successful when you have developed a pattern of learning about the SFI business and putting the new knowledge and experience into action.
You will need to learn the business which will take anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes a day at the beginning to go through the Launchpad lessons (and absorb the information). One of the things we learn is to complete the daily, monthly and other actions to earn VP on a regular basis (which also exposes us to new things and good reviews of things we learn if we truly pay attention to everything in our To-Do List). For me, even with experience, that can take about 30 to 45 minutes.
Then depending on experience and how large your team is, you will learn how much time you need to spend each day in communicating with your team and doing the things that will grow your team and make sales. For most people, I suspect that will run from 1 to 3 hours a day. This would also include planning and starting advertising campaigns and talking with people.
If you are working toward making SFI your full time income, a standard work week of 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week will allow you to learn what is needed and start reaching your goals within months. Things should be growing enough so in 6 months to a year you will be feeling the good income, and then because of the kind of business this is, some work days will be busy, and some will just take care of themselves.

How do I get the maximum benefits of being an SFI affiliate?
Ken Hermonat, Aff (Michigan, US)

Affiliate since: 12/25/2001, Power Rank: 99999999
The maximum benefit of being an SFI Affiliate is maximizing our income. To maximize our income we need to find the best ways to create profit in our SFI business.
Successful duplication is the most long lasting and profitable way to maximum income. Setting up a Standing Order of at least 1500 VP guarantees EA2 status (after the second month) and is the minimum requirement to receive commissions. This is so important because we are contributing to sales which makes this a stable and profitable business.
Each person we sponsor who also reaches EA2 has reached the same minimum requirement and provides increased income to the sponsor. So you can see how building the team deeper will increase the income. This is not all!
Building a team creates Team Leader ranks. With Team Leader ranks come matching VP, increased downline of CSAs, and TCredits that have business growing benefits too.
There really is no limit to these growing benefits.

I am broke but I really want to make EA this month. What do I do and what is the best advice you can give to me?

If you are broke and cannot buy TCredits or other products to reach EA, there is still a way.
You will earn VP from any sale that comes from your promotion (your SFI ID was associated with the sale). I cannot improve on the methods that SFI provides in Training and Marketing. Check out those two drop downs from your SFI home page and choose "Sales" under each one. There is much discussion about how to advertise for free, and there is much marketing material provided for free as well.
It's quite possible to make enough sales to reach EA. However, if you don't reach EA this month, you are absolutely not out of business, and you will have a new month to work for it again. With your experience in the previous month, you will very likely reach EA or get even closer. No need to give up (actually you won't make any sales that way) because each day and each month is a new opportunity.
