The purpose of collecting daily action VPs is twofold.

1. Every VP counts towards achieving your rank, EA being the most important rank to achieve and maintain monthly, as this unlocks your higher earning power.

As your team grows, it is important to reach a TL rank so you can unlock Matching VPs from at least 6 levels of your downline, and earn shares of Second Home CSAs. This is where Action VPs become crucial. EA could be achieved by collecting only Sales VPs but TL ranks cannot be bought, they cannot be reached without a quota of AVPs.

Every VP counts! I have seen posts in the forum where people have been only just short of a few AVP to achieve a TL rank. What if you had missed those few by not completing your daily tasks?

2. Most importantly, completing daily actions means you are taking ACTION in building your business.

Every action VP means you have completed a task that will help you move your business forward, whether it is reading the useful information on the TIPS tab or setting targets on your GOALS tab and checking daily how you are progressing towards achieving them.

Reading the ECA tab will help you connect with ECAs of value and show you how to promote their products.

Completing the EZ and PB tabs will help you promote the games and auctions. Not only do the tabs give you all the information you need to promote them, by participating in them yourself you are gaining experience and can show enthusiasm for them.

The FORUM and ASK SC tabs are extremely important. These places are where you will 'grow your income by growing your knowledge', keep up-to-date with developments and learn from more experienced affiliates.

The MOVERS tab helps you track the activity of your team, and provide leadership to your active team members.

All of the daily actions have been specifically designed by SFI to add value to your business by encouraging you to participate fully and drive you forward.

While the 1VP for each daily action may seem like a drop on the surface of the ocean, many drops fill the ocean!

The daily actions account for up to 420VP each month, and when added to your weekly and monthly actions, and your promotional and team-building activities, are a big help towards your rank!

Furthermore, a true entrepreneurial mindset would not be focussed on the immediate financial return of every action they take, but on how their many, often unpaid, actions will contribute to their success and value of their business in the long-term.

Somebody who thinks that doing their daily 1VP actions is a waste of time really needs to understand just what it takes to become successful. If they have this mindset, they need to change it!

They need to study people who are successful, who are top of their game. An Olympic athlete will do many things daily, seemingly unrelated directly to their sport, but they all add to the big picture, they all help towards winning that medal. A millionaire entrepreneur will always be on the lookout for opportunities and learning experiences, which are all elements of their success.

It's good to make sure your welcome message is fresh and up-to-date. I see sometimes in the forum, some affiliates still think you get Fast-Track by collecting 500VP in first 24 hours. so I'm sure they will be putting this out in their welcome message.

Here follows my welcome message. I tried to keep it simple, while giving new affiliates a few steps to get started. If I see they complete the steps I mention, then I get an idea of how serious they are about building their SFI business.

Welcome to SFI. My name is ________ and I am your sponsor. I am pleased to have you on my team, and am looking forward to getting to know you better and building a strong working relationship.

There is much to learn when you begin SFI. It is all really good training to help you build your own online business. And SFI GIVES you all the tools, resources and products you need.

Hi Laura,

I can see you're an English speaker, so I presume language is not the difficulty.

Communication skills don't feel natural to some people, but luckily are probably one of the simplest skills to develop. The way to develop them is to practice. Most of all, know your subject yourself, with knowledge comes confidence that you know what you want to communicate.

Then there are lots of different ways to communicate. Learn about and practice each one.

1. Newsletters

There is a lot of source material within the SFI website - SFI News, Ask SC, training pages, forum, etc. - which you can use as the basis of your newsletter. Think about what you most commonly get asked about by your team, or what is a Hot Topic or issue currently active at SFI.

You may want to paraphrase but, in most cases, you don't need to re-invent the wheel. Just state the issue you are addressing and then link to a useful page or forum post, which already contains the information you want to relay. Talk around it a little in your own words with your own experience and advice.

Keep a store of your newsletters, you can use them on a fairly regular basis if they are generic topics that will often be needed by new or existing affiliates. Your newsletters are conveniently stored for you now in your genealogy mailer. Make sure to give them a meaningful title you will recognise in the list. Remember this is the title of the email and will be seen by your team, so make it attractive and readable too.

2. One-to-one communications

Personal emails, ecards, SFI chat, Skype etc.
Always respond quickly when one of your downline contacts you for help. It may often be as simple as directing them to a help page you can find for them using the search box at the top of your homepage. Gently encourage them to use this search tool for themselves.

A simple ecard congratulating them on an achievement will go a long way in demonstrating your support.

If you feel comfortable with verbal/face-to-face communication, you could let your team know that you will be available for Skype/Google Hangout chats at a certain time if anybody would like to schedule a chat with you, or they can request one at any convenient time for you both.

Always be friendly, and show interest in your team members personally, whilst remaining professional.

3. Encourage use of the forum

Isn't this where you would go if you needed help or advice? Teach your team to do the same. I always say I am happy to help them, but I think they would get more varied answers to their questions, that they may understand more easily, in the forum, and by more experienced team leaders than I.

If their intention is also to become a serious team leader, then they need to use this most valuable resource. Using the forum for posting advice, asking and answering questions will also improve your, and their, own communication skills.

4. Stream posts

Very short posts to let team members know you are active and supporting them all regularly.

For congratulating team members.
For keeping them informed of news announcements.
For providing links to useful pages, forum posts, Ask SC topics.

Also, looking at the bigger picture, if you asked your question with the intention of helping those for whom English is not their first language, I would draw attention to translation tools. There is a Translate button on every page at SFI and TripleClicks.

There are also free online translation services at Google Translate and Babelfish.
Again, the forum will be useful as there are regional categories there where affiliates may communicate and seek and give help in their own language.

To recap, though, the most effective way to develop your communication skills is to
a) know your subject yourself, or know where you can find it
b) practice as much as you can

Have you ever not missed something because you never had it, but then you got it and wondered how you lived without it? That is what I think about the ECA tab. What a fantastic tool!

The new ECA tab is extremely important for affiliates, for ECAs, and for TripleClicks customers.

TripleClicks can help ECAs achieve more LOCAL sales as easily as global sales.
Many small businesses and local independent stores may not have an e-commerce website set up, due to the cost.

With TripleClicks, if they already have a physical store or other online outlet, they will not have to pay for a New Seller License. They can list their products in their ECA store for free, giving LOCAL PICKUP as a delivery option.

They can then let local customers know they can shop or reserve items at their store online. They can include their TripleClicks ECA website address on business cards, window posters, flyers/leaflets delivered to houses in the local vicinity.

Local Pickup is free or perhaps the ECA may do a free or inexpensive personal local delivery service for orders over a specified value. This will be an especially useful service to offer elderly or infirm customers, especially if they sell consumable household products.

It is also a good selling point that if products need to be returned or exchanged for any reason, the buyer will not incur shipping or postage costs.

You can create a co-op, perhaps through the S-Builder Co-op, and reward your hard-working team members with shares in it.

Use your blog to create helpful articles to help your team grow their own SFI business. In time, as your blog generates signups, through your gateway links placed in it, you could use these as your own co-op, alongside or instead of the SFI S-Builder Co-op.

e.g. Place a keycode in your gateway links on your blog e.g. http://www.sfi4.com/YOUR-SFI-ID.xxx/FREE where xxx is the tracking keycode you use. Then in your SFI Co-op Manager (https://www.sfimg.com/PowerTools/TLCoop), set up a new co-op. Under co-op source, select Your Gateway Site and insert that keycode number in the box there.

As people sign up to SFI through your blog, they will be automatically given to your team members you have included in the coop, in the rotation you choose, by number of shares or number of signups. Also, the signups you generate from your blog will have the benefit that they have already read about SFI, so have a good idea what to expect from the program.

Encourage your team members to interact on your blog, by liking and commenting on your articles, as this will help it to rank higher with the search engines.

Consider it like this "Why should I invest in MYSELF?" or better still "Why SHOULDN'T I invest in myself?"

If you start any business, you can do it the hard way, doing everything for yourself. Or you can make it easier by making some investment.

Example 1 - you want to sell jeans, you can buy the denim, and spend a lot of time making them yourself, or you can buy them readymade or outsource the manufacture and sell the finished product for a profit, saving you much time.

Example 2 - you can open a store, go spend thousands on stock, and wait for the return to come back very slowly before you are making profits.

Example 3 - you can go study at college or university so you have an improved career and income some time away in the future. You would need to invest in tuition, books and materials to study your subject. You would have to advance at the pace set by the classes. You may qualify for your career in 1-4 years.

Investing in SFI is investing in yourself. It certainly gives your business a faster boost than not investing.

Investing will also give you more incentive to work harder, to get the benefit of that investment. I do believe that when something is Free, people do not value it so highly. That is not because it is worth less, but because people do not 'perceive' the value in it.

SFI gives a vast amount here for free: first-class training and support, your own website links, the forum etc.

The same way anybody with no marketing skills builds a successful business with SFI - by learning and acquiring the skills!

Disability is rarely a disadvantage to working online. I know many people with disabilities who do so very successfully. In fact, for many, it may be the only option available to them in order to create a purpose in their life and an income to live on. Because of this, they will be very committed to becoming successful and will work hard to do so.

If they are confined to home much of the time, they may have more time to spend on learning and running their business, and will very much appreciate the social interaction that comes with it.

You do not specify a type of disability. All disabilities. and the people who cope with them, are not the same, just as all people without disabilities are not the same. Most people with disabilities find techniques, strategies, tools and resources to help them with their daily living, so they can live as full a life as possible. Many have strengths and creativity that non-disabled people don't.

I attended a webinar a while ago where one of the speakers had no useful limbs, was in a wheelchair and had no arms. She ran her successful online business using a mouth-stick to operate her keyboard and tools.

Someone who is visually-impaired may use speech recognition and website-reading tools to interact.

Disabled people are often accustomed to looking for solutions to overcome challenges. Because of this, they may be more investigative and used to reading about new developments. They will be no stranger to learning new skills.

They will often have a network of people they are connected with, through support groups, common interest groups, etc. and use the internet a lot to interact with their peer group. So they are already connected to a niche market to which they can promote their business opportunity.

People with disabilities may be more like the tortoise than the hare, for instance, they may be less able to run around handing out gift cards and get out canvassing for new ECAs, but they can still be persistent and patient, and committed to improving their life.

As we often see in discussions in the forum, success is less about circumstances and more about mindset and, unless the disability is one which severely impairs the function of the mind, a disabled person is equally capable of success, even if their definition of success is somewhat altered by their viewpoint.

I hope this answers your question, or at least gives you some understanding that people with disabilities are at least as capable of building a successful SFI business as non-disabled folks.

When you receive a new PSA, they will automatically receive your New PSA Greeting, which you create here:

You can also send an ecard when you receive a notification of a new PSA or CSA. I find the ecards very effective.

In your PSA Greeting/Ecard, after introducing yourself, explain to them that they can begin collecting VersaPoints by doing the Getting Started Actions, and direct them to their To-Do List (https://www.sfimg.com/Home?tab=to-do_list) or their VP Ledger (https://www.sfimg.com/MyAccount/MyReports/VPLedger).

Explain that they can Fast-Track in SFI and that part of the Fast-Track process is to complete these 5 activities:
* For confirming your registration
* For whitelisting [email protected]
* For completing your Affiliate Profile
* For sending your SFI Commitment Message to your sponsor
* For uploading your photo to the Affiliate Center

When they have whitelisted their email address than you can be sure that they WILL be receiving your email messages to their own email as well as to their SFI Inbox.

Beyond that, if they have submitted an incorrect email address, there is little you can do to ensure they will receive them, except perhaps if they do engage with you on the SFI messaging system you can ask them for an alternative email address or way of keeping in contact.
