Your first priority should be to attract or acquire new Personally Sponsored Affiliates (PSA). How you do that will depend on your personal finances.
Every affiliate should use free advertising: safelists and clicksurf sites. There are many of them out there.
If you have the money, I consider S-Builder shares to be a good investment. In my experience, they deliver a few PSA a month, over time. There are vendors who sell PSA and deliver them fast. 1 active PSA from every 100 would be nice.
If you can qualify as a Bronze Team Leader, SFI will give you some Co-Sponsored Affiliates (CSA) every month, and a share of Second Home CSAs each month as well. Once again, most of them will be inactive, but there can be some gems. I was surprised to get an 11 month badge BTL as a CSA this month in my Second Home Share.
So, your first and highest priority should be to recruit and train Personally SAs. If they buy things, you get a commission. ChaChing!
If a CSA buys things, you also get a commission. ChaChing!
If you are a BTL or greater, you also get matching VersaPoints (VP). ChaChing! At higher levels of Team Leader qualification, and as your downline grows, those VP can become important. Each VP isn't worth much, but thousands or millions of them do have value.
The income stream that intrigues me is the Pay Per Action. I have not used or attempted it yet. If I can get a person to fill out a form, would I rather have that person do it to become a PSA or do it to become a PSA for somebody else?
Once again it depends on my financial situation. If you do not have the finances for a S-Builder share a month, or to buy a T-Credit pack a month, Pay Per Action would be a way to earn the money to buy them for next month. Thus, I can use Pay Per Action to work my way into building my team in SFI without needing much up front cash, provided that I can get people to do the actions. I can think of some places in the world where a person whose situation would need this to get started.
I hope these thoughts help you clarify your thinking about where to put in your efforts.
