What's best for team building...doing my own advertising or buying PSAs?

In my opinion the best way to get PSAs is by follow your heart and improve your marketing skills.
I've spent hundreds of dollars to buy PSAs from TripleClicks ECAs and from outside there, unfortunately none of them remain active for a long period.
All that remained with me over the years is that I get from my own efforts on advertising.
So based on my experience we do not need to rush collecting a lot of referrals by buy them, it's better we follow our own pace in building our own team.

What do you tell an affiliate who says he's going to quit because nothing is coming of his efforts and hard work?

Base on my recent experience that after so long have no promising PSA, surprisingly my sleeping PSA suddenly wakes up after 3 months do nothing since signing up and then setting up a standing order, I simply will tell him:
"If you want to succeed - no matter how many reasons you have for quitting - don't quit!"
You never know when your day will coming.
Do I need to have a website or my own blog to be successful with SFI?

I understand that to be successful with SFI means generating the income you require.
There are many evidence that those which have a huge downlines in their team earn a big income here.
There are many ways to build your own SFI team, and you may start with whatever you have. If you think it is time to run your own blog or website in order to bring you closer to your goals, then do it!
Thousands of SFI affiliates are doing the same thing. How do you stand out from the crowd?

If you want to stand out from the crowd you should become a winner!
So, you must ask yourself one best question, i.e.: "What secret tools do I have in my arsenal that my competitor doesn't have?"
Our business is all about marketing, and we all have the same marketing aids provided by SFI. Then, the only thing you can do to make a difference is focus on your own strength.
Perhaps it is your finances, your skills, your relationships, etc..

You should remind your new affiliates, that the planting season is not concurrent with the harvest.
Using the analogy of agriculture, there is a time to plant, there is also the time for watering, fertilizing and maintenance, and there are times to wait for growth before you get the results of your efforts.
The same applies in the business world, and SFI is not an exception. You will experience the same ups and downs, and should be patient if you want to reach success in the SFI business.

How can I convince new affiliates of the importance of logging in at the Affiliate Center every day?

As Gery said that logging in every day at the Affiliate Center is an alternative that you can choose, it is not a must.
Nevertheless you should tell your affiliates, that they may logging in at their Affiliate Centre page every day if they want to get:
- Action VPs to maintain their SFI rank,
- Chances in winning a Daily Grand prize,
- Current information about what is going on in the SFI through the Forum.
I think that are the main things that you can emphasize while mentoring your affiliates.

So many of us were stopped shortly once they signed up.
We both know there are some affiliates who have been successful at SFI at one and a half or two years they were in SFI.
Stick to your own pace which makes you feel comfortable in running your SFI business.
Do not rush in achieving your success, imagine the possibilities of what you can accomplish after your third year in SFI.

The SFI's most important tool to use for building a successful business is PSA Mailer, CSA Mailer, and Genealogy Group Mailer.
Michael Dlouhy - an experienced Network Marketing trainer - emphasizing that Network Marketing is NOT what some of us tell you. They're easy to spot by their favorite phrase:
"Network Marketing (Read: SFI) is just a numbers game."
Which is actually Direct marketing is a numbers game, but Network marketing is a relationship game. In network marketing we deal with people, not numbers. We should use those tool above - when duplicating - as well as possible in order to improve relationship with your team members.

In my opinion, the best way to gain attention of Second Home CSAs and get them active again is push yourself first to your maximum potential in earning sizeable income from running the SFI business.
Only after you can prove to yourself that SFI can gives you a regular income, then you can confidently ask your Second Home CSAs to become active and duplicate yourself.
