How many affiliates do I need to sponsor each month to build a successful business?

1.) There is no pre-determined no. of affiliates that are required to be considered successful in SFI.
2.) As a rule of thumb, as per SFI, five (5) active downlines is sufficient enough to sustain your leadership status and earning status. But in general, the more affiliates you are able to recruit, the better is your chance of success in SFI.
3.) Don’t limit yourself in acquiring your prospective affiliates. Even if you have 5 active affiliates at the moment, please don’t stop recruiting, attracting and convincing prospects to join your SFI team. Who knows, 1 or 2 of your 5 active affiliates become inactive or become less responsive to your offered support. If you keep on acquiring or recruiting your prospects, those who are to become inactive won’t pose any problem to you because you will be assured of continuous supply of affiliates in your downline.
4.) One thing that every affiliate should bear in mind is that it is not in the quantity of downlines that would make you successful in SFI but in their quality. Even if you have only 5 to 10 active affiliates, you would be considered more successful than those who have thousands of affiliates but most of them are dormant/inactive.
5.) Concentrate your efforts in your active affiliates. They are your gems. Don’t miss any opportunity to be of help to them, if and when the needs arise.

3.) It gets rid of procrastination, particularly when you set a time frame in achieving your goals.
4.) It helps us develop serious commitments in dealing with our SFI business.
5.) It provides incentives to ourselves to achieve our goals.
6.) It provides encouragement and dedication in whatever activities we do.
7.) It avoids wasting valuable time by focusing only on goals that have been set up.
8.) It helps us to develop other skills like research skill in order to achieve our set up goals.

How can I get my downline members to understand SFI and what to do?

I understand that getting downline members to understand SFI seems to be a simple task but actually difficult to tackle. But here are what I think are possible solutions:
1.) First of all, tell your downline members that SFI is not a rich-quick scheme, hence, they don’t expect to earn much overnight.
2.) In order to be successful in SFI, they need to invest time, efforts, patience and perseverance to say the least.
3.) Tell them that communication is a key element in SFI. But before they become responsive, you as their team leader, need to initiate the communication process. Send them email asking them how they are doing with their SFI business. This would make them feel that you are open to understanding their problems and they expect some sort of solutions to their problems.
4.) Tell them that SFI offers training in internet marketing business and all they have to do is to read them, understand them and implement them in their daily-to-do activities in SFI. Show them the links to make their search easier.
5.) Tell them that in joining SFI, it is like sowing your plant and reaping the fruits of your labor in terms of versa points acquired, sales made in Tripleclicks, and affiliates enrollment in your SFI gateways.
6.) Tell them that SFI offers open communications between and among affiliates in local and international scenes through its A2A program.

What kind of rewards have proven to be the most effective for you for getting inactive affiliates active?

Not necessarily in the order of their importance, the following are the kind of rewards that will move inactive affiliates to active status:
1.) Issuing gift certificates. This could be done by holding contest among your PSAs and CSAs. Whoever makes it first to attain EA status will get, say $10 to $20 gift certificate within, say, 2 weeks after the start of the contest.
2.) Issuing TCredits. These virtual cash could be used to join the Pricebender auction sales, could be used to sell unused and unwanted personal items thru TC Member listings, could be used to buy products of choice in TC store.
3.) A promise of reassignment of affiliates to high achievers who manage to attain 1,000 VP and above (note: the minimum requirement for re-assignment is 600VP) during the past 90 days. To increase the interest of those who wants to manage some affiliates, make the promise stronger by telling them that you will assign some EAs to enable them to gain more VPs. In this way, you will create more interested team leaders.
4.) If you can afford, promise the highest VP achiever to give him a free STANDING ORDER of 1 unit S-Builder (which could probably generate some 3 or 4 PSAs). This prize would only go to the highest VP achiever. If you have some 5 or 6 movers in your team, the highest among them would get the STANDING ORDER prize. By winning this S.O., he could be receiving PSAs in 2 week’s time and start his own team.

What is your experience or your opinion about running contests (and providing prizes) to motivate your PSAs?

Running contests serve as incentives to PSAs. They are the driving force that push them to do quick actions and they discourage procrastination.
However, the rules of the contest should be achievable, that is, they are within your PSAs means to achieve. Contests will determine who among your PSAs are candidates for duplication of your efforts. They are the ones to be provided more support and assistance to ensure your work duplication. The value of rewards should be just right, not too small to ignore or too big to create cut-throat competition among PSAs.

Success can be achieved in so many ways with SFI but ranking them according to importance, I would consider the following factors:
1.) Treat your business like a business. Success in business is like success in your personal life. You treat it the way it should be treated, that is, spend time to make it grow and adopt innovative sales and marketing strategies to expand your business. Spend time to achieve results and spend money to earn money. Don’t ignore modern use of internet features like the use of autoresponder in your email marketing and the use of hit tracking system. Gone are the days when you can rely on pure luck to attain success in any business, much more so in internet marketing where SFI is the global leader.
2.) Do something to grow your business every day. Like a plant that you sow and water every day, taking action to expand your business helps in attaining success. Be adoptive of modern means to achieve efficient and effective means of handling business.
3.) Make it a habit to read something related to growing up your business on a regular basis because it is only thru reading that you achieve knowledge and insights about ways and means to gain more sales and expand your customers base. Just like the adage, “Leaders are readers”, reading makes you achieve edge in your field, hence, making you a business leader worth emulating by those newbies as well as your peers in internet marketing business.

Besides money, I have gained many things from being an SFI affiliate which are as follows:
1.) Self-discipline: By commiting myself to do my daily “to-do list” tasks imposes self-discipline on me.
2.) Knowledge: Learning the various aspects of internet marketing boosts my initiative to learn more and discover what else I can do to increase my sales by following various SFI’s sales techniques and marketing methods.
3.) Develops attention to details: In order to implement those items mentioned in item #above, I have to focus my attention to details.
4.) Develops online friendship thru communication platforms developed by SFI, e.g. PSA/CSA mailer system, Genealogy reporting system, A2A system, etc.

What is the most important daily activity that SFI Team Leaders should engage in?

Affiliate since: 06/08/2012, Power Rank: 99999999
For me, visiting my Genealogy Report on a daily basis should be my utmost important daily activity prior to reviewing my own SFI homepage. The Genealogy Report will provide me, at a glance, who among my PSAs and CSAs are visiting their respective SFI homepage on a regular basis.
Based on their respective login dates, I could determine who are serious in their SFI business and those who are not. For those logging in regularly, I would still send them email and letting them know that I appreciate their enthusiasm shown in developing their SFI interest. By doing this follow-up email, they are motivated to exert more efforts knowing that their sponsor or co-sponsor is appreciating their individual efforts towards their team success. It is but human nature to feel elated in this way.
For those non-active team members, I send them “warm reminder” emails telling them the kind of opportunities they have been missing for not logging in regularly or have not logged in since their SFI join date. A few of them would be responding within a few days as shown by their login dates.
From this Genealogy Report, a team leader could think of how he could make his team members active and responsive.

I know I should work with the workers, but how many follow-up messages should I send to inactive CSAs/PSAs before giving up on them?

In my opinion, there are no definite count of times that you need to impose to give up emailing or contacting those PSAs/CSAs that are inactive.
You can send follow-up emails to inactive PSAs/CSAs, say twice a month. I think this is not too many nor too scarce. Don’t give them up on your own volition. SFI would normally provide enough time before they are given notice for non-active members. Try to exhaust all means of communications, that is, thru email, thru their phones if they indicate on their profiles, thru team mail, thru SFI chat, IM.
In my case, I send my inactive PSAs/CSAs emails twice a month. My first attempt would be to give them some e-books to read on. If they are really busy to engage in online activities, they could read them during their spare time. I would give them an e-book that would stir their online marketing interest. Sending them 2 or 3 times of e-books would normally beef them up on their state of idleness or inactivity. If I see that one of them would login by visiting my Genealogy Report, I would send another email to that person and would give him/her an appreciation for having logged in for quite a long time since his joining date. I would ask him/her about any problem that he/she has and offer my advice to let me know. If he/she remains silent by not responding, I would give him/her my assurance that just in case, he/she needs my SFI business-related advice, I would always be available for him/her. This kind gesture would give them a feeling of belongingness to my SFI team and would perhaps change his/her mind and be active again knowing that they have a team leader who is concerned about their welfare, be it SFI-related or not.

How do I encourage my affiliates to set up a Standing Order?

In the first place, to encourage your affiliates/downline to set up a standing order is to have one placed by yourself on a monthly basis. Inform them about the benefits as follows:
1.) Tell them it’s economical to order for products as a standing order due to reduced prices than when you order them on a regular sale basis.
2.) Having a standing order will ensure them in maintaining either EA status or team leader status (BTL, STL, GTL & PTL) since they would know ahead of time of the equivalent VP for each of the products ordered.
3.) They will be able to allocate a sum of money in advance out of their monthly budget and ensures their being in good shape as far as maintaining their EA status or higher.
4.) They will gain an extra 100 VP by maintaining a standing order.
5.) Knowing they have products placed as standing order which would give them outright VP in next month, they could focus more on their sales techniques, marketing and advertising strategies to gain more sales and subsequently increase their income.
6.) They would gain an edge over the other affiliates who would yet strive to gain VP by other means.
