What methods can I use to attract college students to join SFI?

I think SFI has enough attractions for young people still in college.

College students are very idealistic, ambitious, and big dreamers, but may not have enough funds to spend on other necessities especially if they're still being supported by their parents. But some may already be working part time to support themselves.

Eager Zebra games with Time Machine and Pick the Price, may appeal to their sense of fun. By gifting with a Gift Card or Gift Certificate you may be able to get them to check the TripleClicks and try the Pricebender penny auctions.

If they are musically inclined, the TC Music downloads may appeal and a $2 Gift Certificate for a Wave3 membership will give them free music downloads every month.

As most college students are socially active and enjoy interacting with others in their age group, they may appreciate the role of the social media in advertising and reaching out to others locally and internationally.

The potential for starting and growing a global internet business while studying will be very attractive to those undertaking business studies as SFI provides a wealth of education and training and personal and business development and growth as well earning income from sales and commissions to supplement their allowances and reduce dependency on their parents.

To assure and ensure that duplication happens in those you sponsor,
you need to be an Awesome Sponsor first.

Then lead the way - by your actions, communications, guidance, mentoring and friendship.

By following the 3 simple basic steps laid down in BASICS-

1. Be an EA and remain an EA every month.
2. Sponsor 5 affiliates using the methods and tools in Marketing Center.
3. Teaching these 5 new affiliates what you have done - rinse and repeat- that is duplication.

Then check your PSAs' activities through their Affiliate Snapshots, where you'll see the number of PSAs they have sponsored. If there are none, work with your PSA and help by reassigning some of your own, or add to your co-op by way of incentive. Explain the purpose of duplication and how to achieve it.

Lead the way by setting up a Standing Order. And be the first to requalify for EA status every month.

Lead the way by patronising TripleClicks Store, generating sales, participating in all the Games, by being actively involved in SFI Forum's discussion, sharing and learning, as well as being visible in Ask SC with your answers.

Lead the way by always logging in, not missing a day to earn the VPs, and earning as many Badges as you can.

These are duplicatable and give your PSAs something to aim for.

This question is a bit self-centred and implies a ”me first” mentality. However, it is also a reality that whenever we give we expect something in return- benefit.

To get, give.

We benefit from giving or transferring TCredits to our PSAs or CSAs by the action that will result from the gift. If the purpose of giving TCredit is to help our PSAs or CSAs to participate in Pricebender auction, the resultant increase in their action VP will help them achieve a higher rank which, of course, results in us receiving a higher VP match up as well. It made us and our PSAs and CSAs happy, especially if it results in a win for them.

This is our first test in making our PSAs and CSAs understand and feel our sincerity that we want them to succeed first before we can succeed ourselves.

Talking about SFI or TripleClicks to people can be daunting sometimes, especially if you’re shy.

Just be yourself, relaxed and confident when talking to people about SFI/TC.

Be more of a listener than a talker. By listening, you’re showing interest in the other person. You can learn more about him/her by asking a question then wait and listen for the answer.

SFI has made it easier for us to talk about SFI or TripleClicks to people.

If you’ve been working on your SFI business and have diligently been logging in daily, performing all tasks not only to earn your daily VP but to learn more, visiting the SFI Forum and reading all posts and learning from others and you're up-to-date in your knowledge about SFI/TC, reading and reviewing the training materials and marketing aids, you will have the ability to talk confidently and sincerely about SFI and TripleClicks.

You will sound not only knowledgeable but also very convincing.

Give your full attention and listen first before you talk.

If you show people how much you care and just ask questions in a non threatening way, it’s amazing how much they'll tell you and how much you’ll learn.

You'll find that you don’t have to be a good talker, just be a good listener.

And, remember, nobody ever listened himself or herself out of a sale.

In short, be interested, not interesting.

This question is on every affiliate's mind! I'm very happy to share my experience in order to answer your question.

I found that winning a Pricebender auction is purely by luck.

In addition, you must also have lots of patience and plenty of TCredits and a knack for timing.

You must know and decide which auction you want to participate in and have a budget for it.

There are plenty of auctions you can choose to try and learn how it works.

It also helps to learn some bidding acronyms like NAB (No auto-bidder), WBF (Winning Bidder takes back all of his/her bids), BD (Big Dog), JR (Junior auction for those with less than 9 wins), Latency (the speed that your PC is running) Heavy Hitters, we all hear about them, they’re the bidders with heaps of TCredits who will bid to the last bidder standing., etc. and will not quit till they win. They're always at the top of the leaderboard!

You can also check the Winners List to see the latest winners of the latest auctions, and see who are the heavy hitters and regular winners and the kind of auction they have been in.

It's also wise to check the time and the day of the week when these bidders have participated and the kind of items they have won.

Read the winning tips found on the TripleClicks page.

When you are ready, select the time of the day when you can bid undisturbed.

Having a budget of how much TCredits to use, start off with a Beginner or Jr. auctions, now knowing that there will be no big dog or heavy hitters to contend with giving you a fair chance of winning.

Don’t jump in straightaway, watch how the auction is going. Check bid log to see how many are bidding, let them bid and push the bidding. Be patient.

When the “Going Once, Going Twice” comes on, put your bid in and don’t hesitate.

When you are running out TCredits, remember your budget, and don't be tempted to stay. There will be other times, so know when to stop.

You may not have won the bid, but you also gained valuable action VPs and MRPs. And, most of all, experience.

Oh, and one thing more, while bidding, be aware of the Bonus Bar. While you’re letting others bid, take time to check the price at the Star of the Bonus Bar. Be prepared to bid within 5 minutes before the price is reached. For example, the price at the Star is $4.95, once the bidding reaches 4.00 bid like crazy and don’t wait any longer. You can win 4TCredits 6 times- that is 24 TCredits to be won!

With the new introduction of Bid & Build, you can also win 1 PSA once your bid reaches 50.

With Pricebender auction it’s always a win-win all the time! It's also the best source of action VP with maximum 500 VP to be gained.

What sort of encouragement can I give to an affiliate who feels not getting anywhere in SFI?

Information from the Genealogy will show who are struggling and it's easy to see who needs encouragement.

It also depends on the kind of problem my affiliate is facing at the time. If my affiliate is stuck at being an Affiliate for a while but has not missed a day in logging in, I will send a personal message offering help and support. If he responds, then I know what to do.

If my affiliate has been EA, EA2 or BTL and suddenly disappear for a period from Movers list, there must be a strong reason why, so a personal message with a request to contact me so we can discuss whatever the problem is and seek a solution will make a big difference in lifting his morale and productivity.

Usually I would offer a gift certificate to help him get his business off the ground, plus share a strategy and easy ways of earning points.

If my affiliate is languishing on EA or EA2 and would dearly love to advance, a personal message plus an offer of reasssignments, TCredits, gift certificates, and a free share in the team co-op and share tips/hints in free advertising and best practices will encourage him to work harder and get the positive result that will take him to a higher level.

For continuing progress, I would encourage my affiliate to keep on reading and reviewing the SFI Basics, the Launchpad, and every training articles on their homepage and self-help books.

To build a strong team, to keep on sponsoring and generating TC Sales, refer ECAs and PRMs for profitability. Only when there is a movement in his team and he advances in SFI will an affiliate feels success and will be encouraged to go on.

It's now widely known the best way to find a mentor for SFI is getting involved in SFI Forum.

You can tap into the enormous bank of wisdom of the most experienced, knowledgeable and successful affiliates in SFI, who are very generous and unselfish in sharing their knowledge and experience.

From reading through different posts in the Forum you will be able to find the best minds by the content and value of their posts, which posts are very informative and instructive, their current rank, and then request to become a2a friends with the author that you have chosen. Once accepted, request if he/she will be kind enough to share tips and best practices with you.

The other way to find a mentor is to check thru your line of sponsorship. If you want more mentoring than what your sponsor is capable to giving you, then go up the line and make contact. Once contact is made, then you can request an indepth mentoring. Good luck!

Your question is a funny yet interesting one! What should new affiliates NOT do in their first month?

There are many DON'Ts that new affiliates should NOT do, such as:

. Procrastinate. To do or not to do, is not the question, but when to do it. Many new affiliates upon joining SFI will take a quick look at their homepage and when confronted by how much reading and learning they have to do in order to understand SFI, will just logged off and put the thought aside for another day.

. Not logging in regularly to learn the business and to earn VPs, sometimes leaving it too long to come back and check their VP ledgers and thus starting a bad habit.

. Not doing ALL the Red Tabs on their Daily to-do lists, not completing the basics such as Getting Started and Intermediate actions and not reading and understanding the Launchpad Lessons.

. Not investing time, as per above, and money as in setting up a standing order or to purchase items in TripleClicks, and commitment, as in taking the business for granted and not taking it seriously.

. Not communicating with sponsors/co-sponsors, or ignoring the messages sent by them which causes misunderstanding and frustration.

. Not being upfront and honest with their difficulties, whatever they are, that when discussed sincerely and honestly with their sponsors/co-sponsors may have been solved easily.

. Not showing interest at progressing and when they don't succeed, they will blame the system and their sponsors/co-sponsors.

. Not reading, learning, and understanding the SFI procedures and training materials and just being lazy or indifferent to what is being provided free of charge.

These are the recipe for failure, but may teach the new affiliates to learn from their mistakes.

To me, the best way to convince my PSAs that they should set up a Standing Order is through weekly group as well as personal messages.

It is a part of the short training portion of my newsletter. Just a general reminder of the importance of having a Standing Order.

For those who have just qualified as EA and are serious about building their business, they will do so if they realise the advantages and benefits to them.

I would also mention that it's really up to them, that it is not a requirement but it's set up for their convenience of not having to do it manually, month after month.

But if they are struggling to qualify but can afford to set up a Standing Order and yet are hesitant then I would refer them to the Compensation Plan and Benefits.

There may be other reasons why some PSAs are unable to set up a Standing Order. So all I can do is to provide guidance by sharing information and tips from others in the Forum and answers from Ask SC.
