How do you make SFI not be overwhelming for yourself and team members?

To keep myself from being overwhelmed, I keep track of my goals and simply do one or two things each day to help my business. Usually I post a free add in a traffic exchange and send a message to someone in my team who needs help based on what I see in the VP ledger.
For my team members, I start out by pointing out the new buttons on our Affiliate page (Start, SFI Basics, and LaunchPad) and explain that everything in SFI is there in a nutshell. Take your time to understand the Basics and what the LaunchPad teaches and explains.
I also promise to answer any question as soon as I can, so that I can head off any worry about being overwhelmed.
The beauty of this business is that you can take it at your own pace and be successful.

What's the secret to making money in SFI?
Ken Hermonat, Aff (Michigan, US)

Affiliate since: 12/25/2001, Power Rank: 99999999
The secret to making money in SFI is surprisingly simple even though many people miss it.
To make money with SFI, you have to do something. What you do will change as you learn about SFI and become more experienced with the income streams we have as SFI Affiliates.
The first thing to do is learn the Basics and then study the follow up training that SFI provides. This means reading the Basics, the Launchpad, and all the additional information that is a part of going to the red tabs to earn the daily VersaPoints.
The next part of the secret is applying what has been learned. While reading is indeed "doing", reading alone is not enough. Promoting sales and the SFI business is where the income is. So, what did you do today to promote your business? If that is a tough question, be sure to spend some time on your Goals tab and start doing what it will take to reach your goals. The secret to making money is knowing what to do, and doing it.

What is the most important message I must convey to my team to prevent them becoming inactive?

The most important message to convey is that SFI is a real business that will produce real income when you treat SFI as a real business.
Of course, the team member must understand that message and act on it to avoid becoming inactive. As awesome sponsors, it is up to us to always send that message in one form or another when we communicate.
You will more likely catch someone's attention if you use your words, your experience and your investigation of the members of your team when you first welcome them. Let them know they made an excellent choice and all they need to do is take a good look and try things out.
Send several short messages spaced out over a couple of days with that real business, real income theme, and tie it in with real effort to make it happen, and you do have a chance to help them keep active.

How important is it to have a good sponsor and co-sponsor?
Ken Hermonat, Aff (Michigan, US)

Affiliate since: 12/25/2001, Power Rank: 99999999
In SFI it is not important to have a good sponsor or co-sponsor. Putting importance on your sponsor or co-sponsor could severely hinder your SFI success.
I can say this because neither my sponsor nor co-sponsor has been of any help to me. I was about to give up on SFI and I posted in the Forum a complaint about not having any help from my sponsor. Every single reply to me was about how I could be successful simply by following the training and using the marketing materials provided to us. Most importantly, I was told that I was in charge of my business and could be as successful as I wanted to be.
From that day on, I became more and more successful because I gave up on the importance of my sponsor.
What I wish for every SFI affiliate is they become the best sponsor or co-sponsor that they can be. From that I can say, we can get great benefits from our sponsor or co-sponsor, but we can do the most for our business if we are the best sponsor and co-sponsor we can be.

When seeking serious affiliates for SFI, what is the most important question to ask the prospect?
Ken Hermonat, Aff (Michigan, US)

Affiliate since: 12/25/2001, Power Rank: 99999999
I think the most important question to ask a prospect is, "What are your financial goals?"
Asking that question can lead to a great discussion about what a person wants and needs that can lead to a discussion about what SFI can do to accomplish the goals of the prospect. When we have the opportunity to find out where a person wants to go, and we can provide that path, we have a great opportunity to introduce someone to SFI and help them reach their goals indeed.
What are the best Genealogy filters to use and why?

For me it is hard to zero in on the best Genealogy filters because many of the filters are very powerful and helpful.
There are two major sections of the Genealogy that can be combined for great insight as well as communication. There is the Sort section, and there is the Filter section.
The Sort allows you to see the list in ascending or descending order depending on the sort choice. My favorite is "VersaPoints (This Month) dsc". This brings the active affiliates for the month to the top.
The next very quick and powerful filter is the QuickFilters drop down box. Here you can see very valuable pre-designed filters for many of our needs. Who are the new people, who are inactive people (and for how long), who were new yesterday, etc. It is actually fun to see all the possibilities.
If you study what shows up in the Filter section above after you have made your quick filter choice, you can teach yourself how to create other filters that will display the affiliates that you want to contact for just about any reason.
Be sure to check all the other tabs (not just the Basics tab) right above the produced affiliate list. Many miss all the important data and communication features available on each of the different tabs.

What do you say to an affiliate who thinks that doing the daily 1 VP actions is a waste of time?
Ken Hermonat, Aff (Michigan, US)

Affiliate since: 12/25/2001, Power Rank: 99999999
If an affiliate communicated to me that doing the daily 1 VP actions was a waste of time, my first action would be to reply and ask, "Why? Is it taking too long for you? Do you not understand the benefits of earning VP? What am I missing?"
Then if I receive a reply, I will know what is going on with the affiliate, and I would then reply providing incite to what the affiliate does not understand or does not want to do. The goal of the communication is simply to offer more information so that the benefits of doing the daily 1 VP actions will be apparent, so it won't feel like a waste of time.

How do you respond when someone asks you about SFI?

In the sales world, a good salesperson has what is called an "elevator speech". This a brief, well rehearsed, mini speech that highlights the product or business, shares a major accomplishment or benefit, and asks a question. Here is an example:
SFI is an online, home business. People all over the world earn incomes using methods SFI provides without any cost whatsoever. Spending just a few hours a day, my income has continued to grow so that my retirement income will be better than my current job. Do you know anyone who is interested in a way to earn more income?
We all have our own style and ways of describing the SFI benefits. The important thing is to be aware of the benefits and to share the "speech" in your conversational, natural way. It's a good idea to rehearse the speech so you appear wise, honest and confident.

Many affiliates seem only interested in the Daily To-Do list. How can I motivate them to do other activities?

When we look at the To-Do List many people miss the links that SFI has provided to go beyond just the Daily items. It is easy to see how to earn VP for the Daily, Weekly and Monthly items.
A little farther down are the items that many people miss regarding TripleClicks and Team Leadership & Support. We can motivate Affiliates by suggesting they notice that those two categories provide unlimited VP! Then if there is any doubt about how to earn those VP, we can suggest they click on the links provided (usually with the word "here" to click on).
The To-Do List is a much more powerful tool than at first glance.

How do you explain to new affiliates what VersaPoints are and what they are used for?

VersaPoints are points that are earned in three ways.
1. Doing actions on the SFI site (found on the To-Do List)
2. Purchases you make from TripleClicks
3. Purchases your PRMs make from TripleClicks
VersaPoints are important in two ways.
1. VP determine your rank, and therefore contribute to your income based on the Compensation Plan.
2. VP are shares in the Executive Pool which brings you commissions each month if you are EA2 or higher.
Your Rank is based on a combination of your Action VP and Sales or Purchase VP. The higher your rank, the more matching VP you can earn from you downline. This is the great benefit of duplication in our SFI business.
This explanation usually helps Affiliates understand the great opportunity we have presented in the Compensation Plan ( https://www.sfimg.com/Reference/CompPlan ).
