If you're new in SFI and new to marketing, etc., how can you help a new PSA who needs guidance?

Hi Vilim,
One: Think positively. Just because you're new doesn't mean you. can't help your new PSA.
Two: Where there is a will there is a way. If you set your mind to helping your PSA (which is why you have come to Ask SC), you'll do whatever it takes.
Three: Lastly, you work online, right? SFI has an A1, free Marketing section. On the Internet do a search for online advertising and marketing tips, sites, etc. When I do searches I bookmark them and the sites; I find that very helpful.
All the best.

When starting out in SFI, is it better to invest in advertising or in an EA-qualifying purchase?

Hi Ana,
When I joined SFI, I didn't have too much money. I promoted my gateway links and posted what I thought were good ads on online ad sites. About one month later I started my Tcredits 125 Pack Standing Order (SO.)
I think advertising and having a SO are important, however, I can advertise for free (and I pay) while my SO costs me money.
If I have to choose one over the other, I wouldn't. If you were the size of a monster and if you threatened to break my legs, I would choose an EA-qualifying purchase. EA is where it all starts to happen.
I hope I have helped you. :-)

Hi Sandra,
The first thing I do is in the morning when I do my first check among many of my emails. I check for new PSAs and I contact them, I check for new TripleClicks ECAs, connect with them (and bookmark them) and maybe I have new TC members.
I believe in posting on social media and I never spam. I try to post different ads each time, I have a selection, and in that way I am liked and I am not a bore. I also have ads posted on free ad sites at all times.
Another thing I am faithful about doing is buying visitors/traffic packages, primarily through one ECA in TripleClicks that I think is fabulous! I usually have numerous visitors packages going to my different Gateways at any one time.
I promote to family but, quite frankly, I think my promoting in other ways is easier as family takes their time doing things and expects me to be tolerant for ages. :-)
All the best.

What is the best Eager Zebra game to generate TCredits, VP, and MRP?

Hi Ophelia,
I like your question as I play the games, however, I play for fun or to have a break.
I have played different games, and I still do, but my favourite (how we spell it here in Canada :-) ) is Pick The Price. It's a fun and challenging game with bonuses. I am more than happy to play one Tcredit per Pick The Price auction final price prediction. If you guess the exact price, you win 100 Tcredits. Close without going over, 25 Tcredits.
I have a PTP badge without using the Price History...I think that was an exception. I suggest you use it until you can guess well enough on your own.
Just tinker around. Have fun!
All the best.

I have planned a local get-together for A2A affiliates. Any suggestions on what to do at the meeting?

Hi Jeffrey,
Your question has two sides: Will it be a get-together, something that is informal and upbeat, or will it be a stiff and maybe boring meeting?
Personally, I would plan for and choose to attend a cheery get-together at a nice but informal restaurant like a great buffet (all-you-can-eat) which should please everyone. Ask in advance, have each affiliate respond, make a reservation. Use the time during dinner to know each other and just have fun.
During i.e. coffee after dinner you can discuss SFI. Go around the table and allow each person one minute (based on a group of 12) to talk about anything SFI. Allow maybe another 15-20 minutes (30 if they won't throw you out of the restaurant) for discussion.
In the end all of you should have your stomachs full and your hearts and minds fed, too.
All the best.

Should I advise new PSAs to slow down and not qualify as Team Leaders so quickly?

Hi Sandra,
In my life I try not to rush anything except when I go somewhere. (I'm a really pokey eater but it's healthier to eat slow.) If I am pressed for time, I can be like a rocket.
New PSAs becoming Team Leaders early on is great for them - more (Second Home) CSAs and Tcredits, matching VP if they have EA2s on their teams...but are they ready for the responsibility? Are you ready to watch over them, guide, support and motivate them?
I think you have to know your PSAs somewhat before any of you want them as Team Leaders. Let's face it, a lot of affiliates want to make money, they want a team and they can't be bothered to log in and do their To-Do List everyday. Team Leaders? Not!
Personally, I wouldn't decide for any of your new PSAs whether they should become a Team Leader or not. When I want something in my life, when I have a goal, I go after it. I let nothing and no one stand in my way. You can not and should not want to stifle progress. You benefit, too. Stifling your PSA, just one, is like stifling yourself.
There is an added expense of being a Team Leader but I noted the benefits. If you really care if a new PSA is ready to be a Team Leader, ask your PSA. If they say "yes", support them 10,000%. That's my advice.
I hope I have helped you. Good luck!

How do you become a great salesman or saleswoman?

Hi Gabriela,
Sales is at the core of my being, really. I worked on the phone for 22.5 years and about 17 years of that was in sales. On top of that, in person, I worked in fast food ("Would you like a pie with that?") and I sold cookbooks door-to-door.
Regardless of the work, I was always myself. I am outgoing and a clown and I like to have fun while I work. Tell me "no", I'll still thank you for your time and say it was nice talking with you because it was. I think you really have to lend yourself to the job at hand, even spill your guts i.e. you have a most terrible migraine headache. (I get them.) Tell them you have the stomach flu, whatever as long as it's true and you're sharing. Psst! It's like you and they are being close.
The other thing, know what you're selling; know it inside out. Have you ever gone shopping for a car and the person who was selling the car answered your questions with "I don't know" or they just kicked the tires? Know your product(s) - and well.
Even if you're having a day from you know where, try to speak with some volume, clearly and with a smile. No one wants to buy a product you aren't happy about; they might think they'll buy garbage. And it isn't. Try to be happy and get excited, but don't sound fake or they'll catch you.
I guess I should've written this at the start (ummm, I'm late) but I always ask how the person is. I have a way about me that people always tell me and I care enough to ask what's wrong. Personally, I can't stand being asked how I am when it's just a question. Me? I want to know how you are and I will try to cheer you up when you are feeling down.
That's all from me. Great luck!

How can I elevate my SFI advertisements above all the competing business opportunities out there?
Victoria Hayton, Aff (Ontario, CA)

Hi Salvador,
I think two of the best things you can do in your ads are be honest and be interesting. I have read a ton of ads out of necessity (job and home searching to shopping.) I have seen a lot of hype (I'm saying it nicely) and so many boring ads that made me want to sleep. <Yawns>
SFI offers potential to people who truly want to work and SFI has many tools. Being free to join and other points of SFI are what I put in my ads.
I never make promises and I never, ever spam. One, it's against the rules (I don't want my SFI account terminated and/or to be banned on the Internet) and two, I want to be taken seriously.
I think you could come up with "better than others" ads by being honest, creative, by giving details (and you'll screen people by doing so), posting different ads for SFI and TripleClicks, using keycodes to track your ads (change the low hits ones) and do different ads for different "online ad sites". That's what I do.
Did I help you? I hope so! :-)

What are the benefits of Pricebenders auctions that I can promote to prospects?

Hi Nnamdi,
Well, I will tell you what I like about bidding at Pricebenders auctions (the only auctions I participate in) and you can take it from here.
1) I don't mind spending money to have fun and buying Tcredits to bid with usually doesn't break my bank account;
2) There are good, useful things to bid on like my favourites, Tcredit Packs and PSAs;
3) As with i.e. games, every Tcredit bid earns you 1 bonus action VP (AVP are important for BTL rank and above, at least for myself) and 5 Member Rewards Points (MRP.) 126 MRP buys 1 Tcredit. After a healthy round of bidding, I earn a lot of MRP and I buy single Tcredits worth 102 VP each;
4) I prefer NAB (No Autobidder) auctions so that I can place bids, relax and just enjoy the auction. (Until someone comes along and bids like an Autobidder.) NAB auctions can be long but, to me, I find them enjoyable and I wish there was more of them!; and
5) Bid & Build program - I like it because I get a new PSA for every 50 bids (plus 1 bonus AVP and 5 MRP per bid.) I know, I know, I have to spend Tcredits...but what I get is much better than a kick in the butt with a frozen tuna. I have received some PSAs through Bid & Build. I might end up with a Platinum or Diamond Team Leader because I bid.
All the best. Happy New Year!

Hi Emmanuel,
Maybe try looking at why you should stick with SFI. SFI is real, it works, it is successful and it is not a pipe dream. SFI gives you the tools to succeed-training and support. Now it is up to you to learn, work, earn, promote and succeed!
I am in SFI because I love what I do, it is my business, my hours, it is easy yet challenging and I have fun! I look forward to working in SFI.
All the best.
