I have planned a local get-together for A2A affiliates. Any suggestions on what to do at the meeting?

Congratulations to you for supporting the A2A program and taking the initiative to host a meeting.
Providing support on a local level and holding this meeting is informing everyone involved in SFI that there are real people in this program.
The most important aspect of SFI is sharing information and assisting our fellow affiliates with duplication. So base your agenda around this goal. You can advise those folks attending to bring questions and suggestions.
Try to have at least one High level Team Leader that will share his/her experience to Lead the meeting.
Put together a list of everyone who will be there and have name tags available this will help make everyone feel more comfortable around each other.
Put together a list of local ECA's and provide everyone with this list, this is promoting transfer buying. Maybe even invite them along also.
And finally make the meeting or after the meeting fun by directing folks to where the nearest local event like karaoke or have a guest Comedian or hire a Disc Jockey. Make your meeting an adventure people will remember.

Is it wise to 'bribe' your downline with Gift Certificates, TCredits or other incentives? Or does this practice come back and bite you?

When we say here is a FREE gift for you folks come running. I am no different. So would I come to depend on the offered gift or incentive?
I would say it is all about presentation. If you suddenly for no reason at all just hand the Gift Certificate or T credits out then that would come back to bite you.
But if your giving them as a reward for getting PSA's or making Team Leader and you have rules in place about qualifying for the "bribe" then I would say no it only speeds things along for you and your downline.
Just as every employer who wants trained employees to perform exceptionally well extra bonus's always help.
Other employer's offer benefits so should we. But it doesn't have to be gift certificates and T credits only. Try free co-ops, free advertising credits, free active PSA if you have more than enough to share. It is my understanding that referrals roll back to the upline when folks quit so you don't really lose them and you still get matching VP and you can still help them both as you are still the upline member.

Can I set up my SFI business to run on autopilot? If so, how?

That depends on on how autopilot you want to be. You can automatically be EA by purchasing a standing order. You can set up automatic sign ups to the business by purchasing advertising or buying referrals. You can use all the easy tools and examples in marketing aids to quickly send team emails to your downline once a week.
I believe you are a team leader already so you have to log in once every 10 days to maintain your leadership page.
You could skip all of that and just promote Triple Clicks and sign up ECAs and get a nice commission check every month. Just log in once a month or so to see your commissions.
That being said you are leaving money on the table by not being more involved. You miss free chances to win in the E365 for you need at least 10 points for the day to be eligible. You miss Daily Grand Entries. You miss that question your new affiliate had. You miss free T credits by not playing the games. You miss meeting people from around the world. You just miss too much.
Finally minimum effort often brings minimum results. For maximum results and a bigger paycheck SFI needs maximum effort.
