Some authors say it’s not our responsibility as sponsors to “convince” our PSA’s and CSA’s to work the business. Although I don’t disagree completely, I can’t just merely agree with that. We have a responsibility to communicate all the benefits and advantages of working this business to our PSA’s and CSA’s as well as how to gain those benefits and advantages. We have to show them the light, so as to speak.
But, and it’s a big but, is it really in our power to convince everyone who signup to work this business. I think this is where about everyone agrees. You can bring a horse to the water, you can even force it’s head down to the water, but you can’t make it drink. You must make it thirsty for that water first and then it will drink by itself.
The best way to make an affiliate thirsty for success in this business is to be an example. It’s actually the only way. Do what you expect them to do, first, and earn the badges. Be successful yourself, and show it. Then you’ll be able to convince even the biggest critique. But that’s where most of us sit with a problem. We can be in this business for months and still earn very little (I’m here nearly 1 year and earn about $3 per month, but will keep on until I succeed; Know it’s close; Didn’t know much about marketing or online marketing, but learning). If you don’t have much more than badges to show, you won’t convince anyone who doesn't want to be convinced.
Here's the reasons why the next 2 groups can’t be convinced:
1. The most obvious reason is that they fall in that 97% of the population that will never reach their full potential (Of all people only 3% is destined to be truly successful and rich). This 97% is also the same group that signup because they think it’s a get-rich-over-night-scheme (doesn't exist in the real world, but they don’t know it and never will). They want instant gratification without doing anything to achieve it. They just signup and do nothing further. They are not the right candidates and will just waste your time.
2. The next group may be people who have burned their fingers with businesses that look similar to the untrained eye, but are scams. They are very difficult to convince, and will only be convinced if you show them that you already make money. Then they’ll jump in with both feet, because they are opportunists, but most of the time they will only work for a while and then stop, because it’s still hard work. You have to invest time and effort and sometimes money and because they may have lost some money before on scams, they won’t put everything in again.Actually they also kind of fit in the 97% group.
These two groups fall into the category of whom Mr Gary Carstens talk in SFI’s Rules of Success – “Some will, Some won’t,So what? Someone’s waiting! Next!”
The next few groups may not start working from the start, but it’s possible to convince them:
1. They may not have knowledge about Internet Marketing or Affiliate Marketing.
2. They may not understand how SFI works.
3. They may not know how to advertise or use SFI’s marketing methods and aids.
4. They may not have any funds to invest.
5. They may not have enough time to invest.
6. They may not have a website or know how to get one.
7. They may not know how to start and maintain a Blog.
8. Etc.
These affiliates just need training, guidance and a little TLC. Be an awesome sponsor for them and you will win them over. Obstacles are just stepping stones. Help them overcome them and you’ll have a loyal friend for life.
