By looking at your badges, you have made it past the qualification rounds and are now in the Final Round, just like me. We are only a few days apart.
The only thing that matters at this point is VersaPoint Totals.
The E365 list is of little value as it only shows your points, but shows nothing about ranking or point totals for the other people. You cannot build a strategy with only that information.
The best tool to know where you stand and how you are doing is the Leaders tab, then Power Rankings, then change the drop down menu to show your class standings. Here you can see the VP total and standing in relation to you of the whole class.
Since we are now in the finals, we are in it for the long haul. It is only important that we earn 10 points a day or set up a standing order to be qualified for the daily drawings for the Finals prizes, and stay near the lead of the class.
The real task is going to be either keeping ahead or in close contact with the other leaders in your class. As one other person pointed out, she was #1 on the last day only to wake up and not be #1 anymore. In my opinion, you need to be #1 on the last day and stay up ready to add some more VP in the last few minutes if there is a person in the class who has been keeping up and is taking action to gain VP in the last few minutes to displace you from #1.
I was #1 in my class until a few days ago when another surged ahead by a TC package or so. This tells me that I am going to have a competitor at the end, time to set aside money for a few TC packs or S-Builder shares.
In summary, we are in the Final Round that lasts a long time. You have to earn VP at every opportunity, then be aware of what is happening in your class if you want that place on the wall. You also have to decide if it is worth fighting for at the end.
Hope this helps.

Is cold calling, using a local telephone directory, a good method for attracting new PSAs?

Before doing this, you need more information.
You need to find out if it is legal in your location place cold calls, and the way in which the calls need to be placed in order to make them legal if there are regulations.
In the US, where I live, it is legal as long as I am manually dialing each number and am not calling a cell phone or someone who has put their number onto the federal "do not cal list." It is illegal to call a cell phone even if you are manually dialing the number or if they have put their number onto that list. So I have a lot of work to do before I pick up the phone. Setting up a computer with a recorded message and putting it to work calling all the numbers in a block, which was legal 20 years ago, is now against the law in most places here. Your local and federal laws will give guidance.
Even so, there are people and companies that do this practice in the US. Most people do not like to get a cold call, a very few will know if it is legal or not, and will take action against if it is illegal. I have a friend who makes a portion of his living by suing people and companies that violate the phone call laws here in the USA. The statutory mandated awards for violation are pretty high.
In short, I do not think that this is a good idea and you better have the resources to pay a court award or defend yourself against people who will sue you if you do it.

When starting out in SFI, is it better to invest in advertising or in an EA-qualifying purchase?

Which came first - the chicken or the egg?
You cannot earn if you are not an Executive Affiliate(EA), so this must come first.
If you do not have any downline affiliates making purchases, there is nothing to earn.
My suggestion to you is to purchase S-Builder shares, or Personally Sponsored Affiliates (PSA) from one of the TripleClicks vendors, in sufficient quantity to qualify as an EA, then search among those PSA for the workers.
You could also be doing your own advertising to attract more PSA.
Myself, I like the PriceBenders auctions, so my Standing Order is 125 TCredits and an S-Builder share. That way I can auction, and now get PSA from the bids, and some PSA from S-Builder. Each PSA gets a welcome e-card and I am searching for the diamonds among the rocks.

Should I or shouldn't I participate in the SFI PPA program?

This depends on what you want to accomplish.
SFI will pay you for each sign-up you generated that is active. If you can sign up people who are active and give them away, you can make some money.
If you have the ability to sign up active people, that is the model that SFI teaches for success. Sign up 5, then teach them to sign up 5, rinse and repeat.
Since the PPA program only pays if the person is active, would you rather have that money, or the money you could earn from PSA commissions month after month?
I think it depends on when you need the money. If the need is urgent, then use the PPA program and rack up those $10 payments. If you do not need the income "right now," then building a downline, with commissions in the $2 range per person could add up to a lot more money in the long run.
I think that you can deduce that I do not use the PPA program at all in building my own business.

Thousands of SFI affiliates are doing the same thing. How do you stand out from the crowd?
Karl Peterson, Aff (Utah, US)

Why do you want to stand out from the crowd?
Your Personally Sponsored Affiliate (PSA) does not see the other thousands of affiliates in the crowd, he/she sees only you.
Be the best sponsor that the PSA could ask for and forget about the rest. Teach them to duplicate and build a business.
As you give each active PSA the support that they need to build their business, your business will grow. As you hit Bronze Team Leader each month, that will stand out a bit, as you hit Silver or Gold Team Leader each month that will stand out a bit more. When you are hitting Platinum Team Leader each month because you helped each of your PSA develop their business and teach them to do the same with their PSA, you will stand out all you need to, and will not care if you stand out any more.

Which is best for me to participate in...W3 or S-Builder Co-op?

If you cannot afford $22 for an S-Builder share, you should do Wave 3 as an alternative as it is a low, once in a lifetime investment.
If you can afford $22 a month for an S-Builder share, then do Wave 3 first since it is a once in a lifetime investment, then start the S-Builder Standing order a month later or do them both in the first month. After that only the S-Builder will continue costing you precious money.
In my considered opinion, the question is a lot like asking which is better: an apple or a pear. Both give nutrition and both are good. In like manner Wave3 and S-Builer can both help you, so rather than trying to pick between them, if you can afford the S-Builder, you can surely afford Wave3. If you cannot afford S-Builder, then your choice is made for you and Wave 3 is really cheap.
Continue to study and learn the SFI business.

How can I use a PSA's Affiliate Profile to help him or her get off to a good start and become successful in SFI?

The affiliate profile, if filled out truthfully, can give you information about the prospect. What you do with that information is up to you.
If the person is a "something for nothing" (SFN) kind of person, there is very little you can do.
Any other kind of person, you can tailor your welcome to them to excite them.
My only caution to you is that it will take a lot of work and your success will depend a lot on the quality of the leads. In advertising, 2-5% conversion is good. Here at SFI, most of the posts that I have seen are quoting 1 in 100 or less and my experience mirrors that. I am seeing more activity from my Co-Sponsored affiliates than I am from my PSA.

How many affiliates do I need to sponsor each month to build a successful business?

Alvin,
The company says to get 5 active affiliates and then teach them to get 5 active affiliates. This is called Duplication. To do this you need to be sponsoring new affiliates each month. The statistics on new signups are truly depressing. Less than 1 out of every 100 will become an active affiliates. Your results may be better or worse than this. In the end, however that law of averages will win out. Using that logic, if you want 5 per month, you need 500 raw recruits a month. You can get them by advertising or by purchasing recruits from one of the vendors at TripleClicks.
Set a Goal and work to achieve it. Each EA2 will earn you about $8 in Direct Commissions. So each one will bring your business closer to profitability. I have budgeted for two years of 50 PSA a month, then to re-evaluate. I opt to purchase rather than spend a lot of time advertising. That is me. You will have to make your own decisions. I am finding the Law of Averages to be all too true.

What is the best way to maintain my SFI position and continue to support my team whilst on vacation with limited, if any, internet availability?

Without internet, there is no way to maintain your position. So:
1. get a phone that can be a hotspot. There is nowhere in North America, and a lot of other places in the world, where you cannot get phone service if you are willing to drive a bit to find it. Even at my family mountain cabin, phone service is available 5 miles up the road near the State Campground, while it is not available down at the lake by the cabin.
2. Get a laptop with a 12V car adaptor and a 110V charger, or a 12V to 110 inverter for the car. This way, even if far from civilization, you can use your hotspot and laptop for the hour that it takes to login to SFI and "maintain" your SFI position.
In this way, you invest in yourself and keep your dreams alive.

How do you identify in your affiliates the skills that could help them become stars in SFI?

If they respond to your welcome, then actually do something about it, you have a potential star.
These people are few and far between.
Most people seem to be looking for "something for nothing" or looking to "get rich quick" with no work involved.
When you find the diamond that is a worker, do what you can to help him/her.
