Do not underestimate your ability to communicate. Even the shyest of people have some degree of communication skills.

For example, I am sure you have no problem giving your closest friends good advice when they need it, and you probably can't wait to tell them about a great movie you saw or recommend a useful new app or interesting article you found online. Am I right?

If you can do that, then you already have communication skills, and all you need to do is adopt that same attitude of caring, confidence and passion you have when you communicate with your friends, and employ it to support your team.

In order to provide good support, learn as much as you can about the information you plan to share, communicate it as simply and plainly as possible and imagine that your team members are your dearest friends.

As your communication skills improve, so will your relationship with your team members. This will give you the confidence you need to continue to polish and refine these skills so that you can provide even better support to your existing affiliates and those you sponsor in the future.

With the way SFI is set up, there is no urgent need to find prospects among your family and friends. SFI provides beginner, intermediate and advanced methods for you to promote SFI to strangers all over the world. You literally have the world at your fingertips, and the ability to reach hundreds of thousands of people who are looking for exactly the kind of business you are offering.

On the other hand, friends and family are an essential part of your inner circle and as such, should be treated with care. Only approach those who you know for sure are interested in what you have to offer. However, if even the most promising prospects among your family and friends get a glazed look in their eyes each time you talk about SFI, take the hint and change the subject! If you insist on pestering them about joining SFI each time you meet, they may start to avoid you.

Even if you do manage to convince some of them to join, they may do it just to please you or humor you, not because they are convinced that this type of business is the right one for them. Consequently, there is no guarantee that they will take the business seriously, and this may create conflict down the road that could affect your long-term relationship.

I suggest you stick to strangers until you can show your friends and family how well you are doing. Once that happens, they are more likely to flock to your doorstep without any convincing on your part, and then you can pick and choose who among them will be a good candidate to have on your team. You won't have to chase them, they will be chasing you!

Hello Younssi,

Some affiliates, despite your best efforts, may not appreciate the importance of grabbing all the Daily Action VP. One way to help them understand is to provide links to Forum threads, posted by affiliates a few days or sometimes hours before the end of the month, desperately asking how they can earn more VP.

Ask your affiliates to read these posts so that they can see for themselves what happens when they throw away valuable VP by skipping some of their Daily Actions. Perhaps they will learn from other people's mistakes and gain a better understanding of how important these VP are from reading other people's answers.

No, you don't necessarily have to have a website or your own blog to be successful with SFI, but in my opinion, they are one of the best ways to showcase everything SFI and TripleClicks have to offer, and the best place to assemble all the products and services you want to promote.

From a practical point of view, it is much easier and less time consuming to concentrate all of your efforts on promoting a single link (your website or blog), than to spend several hours a day posting multiple ads. It is also less time consuming for your prospects, because they can see everything you have to offer in a matter of minutes.

Harnessing the power of a website or blog makes it easier for people to find you, easier for you to offer them multiple options, and easier for your prospects to find the one item or service they were looking for, without having to move from your site.

Another practical aspects is that you have complete control over the contents and can make as many adjustments as you want, whenever the need arises. Creating a website or blog may require a little bit of time and effort at the beginning, but once they are set up, they are easy to maintain. Just make sure your content is fresh and original.

A website or your own blog won't automatically make you successful, that is true, but they can be very powerful allies in your quest for success.

If some of your affiliates become EA in the first month and then stop logging in, it is probably because despite all the information provided by you and SFI, they still did not truly understand how much of an opportunity this is.

They probably glossed over the information thinking that by clicking on the links they would collect enough VP to earn a significant amount of money. Of course, that is not at all realistic. The VP they earn in the Getting Started, Intermediate and Launchpad lessons are more of an incentive to continue learning; not an instant gold mine. If they thought they would get rich overnight, no wonder their expectations were not met.

However, the good news is that affiliates who become EA in the first month have at least made an effort and have probably absorbed some information in the process, so there is always hope that if they continue to read your weekly messages and maybe receive an e-card from you now and then, they may still return to the fold when you least expect it, ready to reap the benefits of this great business opportunity.

I have seen several top affiliates in the Forum who started out strong, became inactive and then returned to become what they are today, so never lose hope and stay in touch with them.

I know it can be disappointing to find that your sponsor and co-sponsor are not there for you. It could be because they are almost as new at this business as you are and don't know how to help you. Some affiliates may have other businesses that distract them from their SFI duties and still others may have become so successful at SFI that they don't have the time or the inclination to train new affiliates. But don't worry! That's what the Forum and ASK SC are for.

Most of the questions you will have at the beginning are covered in those two sections and also in the SFI Basics and Launchpad lessons. Moreover, the Daily, Weekly and Monthly actions on your homepage (red tabs) are also an important source of information because from simple every day repetition comes a wealth of knowledge and understanding.

You are the captain of your own ship here at SFI, so if you do not have an Admiral to guide you or a first mate to help you, it shouldn't affect the outcome of this new adventure you are embarking upon. You are here because you decided it was time to take control of your destiny, so here is your chance. Study, search for answers and ask as many questions as you need. There are many friendly affiliates here at SFI who are ready, willing and able to help you.

Your strength and determination come from within, so don't ever let any negative outside forces or circumstances steer you away from your dreams.

In my humble opinion, a blog is the best way to promote SFI and TripleClicks because you have complete control over the contents. Moreover, having a personal blog enables you to reach many more people, especially in your social and business networks because, unlike some SFI Gateways, your blog will never be blocked as long as you follow the rules on each site.

You can use a blog to write about anything you like. You can be as direct or as subtle as you want about promoting SFI and TripleClicks. The point is to attract as many followers as possible and create an ongoing relationship with them. You want your readers to be interested in the content of your blog so that they are always on the lookout for your next post or article.

Having a blog also allows you to add as many SFI and TripleClicks banners as you like which, combined with a well-written article, should eventually compel some of your readers to click on them and enroll as your PSAs or PRMs. Place these banners wisely: too many banners might alienate your readers; on the other hand, too few banners could go unnoticed. Give your blog a good mix of interesting and original subject-matter and a few well-placed banners.

There are many subjects you can cover that deal directly with SFI and TripleClicks. In fact, you could continue to hone your writing skills by answering even more questions in the ASK SC section (I see you've already answered quite a few). ASK SC is a great source of inspiration and has many subjects you can elaborate on in your blog. I'm sure I don't need to remind you to always give your personal viewpoint on any subject you choose to write about and never copy anyone else's answer.

How can you use your blog?

• You can write about SFI and TripleClicks in general;
• You can promote TripleClicks products and services;
• You can promote Pricebenders auctions and Eager Zebra games;
• You can promote the Song-of-the-Month contest;
• You can promote your favorite ECA stores;
• You can write about your personal experience at SFI;
• You can give a preview of what people can expect if they decide to join SFI.

On the other hand, if you prefer to be more subtle about promoting SFI and TripleClicks, you can attract many people by writing about subjects you are familiar with or passionate about. If you like to refurbish old cars, write about it and show the before and after photos. If you love fishing or gardening, share some of your best-kept secrets with your readers. When people first discover your blog they may not be interested in any of the products or services you are promoting, but that doesn't mean they won't be curious about the banners they'll see each time they read a new article you've written.

Just let your passion and personality shine through and people will react favorably and come back for more. That's the whole purpose of a blog: You can create your own public image to attract like-minded people. Cultivate a relationship with them through regular posts until they get to know you well enough to trust you and accept whatever it is you have to offer.

It would be very time consuming to provide personalized attention to a large and active downline, and if you try to do it all by yourself, many of your active affiliates could fall through the cracks or feel that their needs are not being met.

Imagine for a moment that you are the CEO of a large company. You would of course hand-pick your best workers and delegate an important part of the operations to them. They, in turn, would do exactly the same with their best workers.

In the case of SFI, I believe the best way to manage a large and active downline is to select those among your first generation PSAs who have what it takes to be good Team Leaders, then reassign other less driven but equally active PSAs to their teams, and let them take over the reins.

That way you will have more than enough time to provide personalized attention to your smaller group of Team Leaders, and in the process you will be helping them attain higher ranks and become more profitable.

Hopefully your Team leaders will see the advantages of this process and follow your example by doing the same for their best workers, thereby making your entire downline run as efficiently as a well-oiled engine.

• 100 VP for each approved ECA you refer
• 100 VP for the best ASK SC answer

I believe there is no time like the present to upgrade your rank. If you are convinced that SFI is right for you, why not upgrade to Team Leader when you feel the time is right, and even if you do not yet have active affiliates on your team. The important thing is to keep up the momentum.

The decision to upgrade to Team Leader will ultimately depend on how active you are with your Daily, Weekly and Monthly Actions, the amount of VP you generate from sales or purchases at TripleClicks, and the size of your budget, especially if you do not have an active team.

The advantage of becoming a Team Leader is that you will receive second-hand CSAs, some of whom may be active, meaning you can earn commissions from their purchases as well Matching VP from both your CSAs and PSAS, as long as they maintain their EA2 rank. In my opinion, Matching VP is one of the best reasons to take the plunge and upgrade to Team Leader!
