I believe it is much better to provide prospects only a brief overview of what SFI is about. That is probably why SFI provides “SFI Basics” to complement the details in the LaunchPad lessons. All you want is attention and a brief overview is enough for you to get it.

Your first encounter with a prospect is only rewarding if you manage to “arouse” their interest. That is exactly what a brief overview of SFI allows you to do. Once their interest is sufficiently aroused, you can proceed to more details with a view to getting them enrolled in the business. The rule of thumb is to use a lady’s skirt as a guide. “It should be long enough as not to be boring and short enough to cover the essentials.”

My own take therefore is that a brief overview of SFI is all you need when you want to give information about SFI to prospects.

You just have to communicate very well because it is the best and most effective tool to create duplication in the business. If you have something good going in SFI, you must find a way of telling others about it if you want them to join you. That is communication. For marketing effectiveness, SFI has simplified things for all its affiliates by telling them what works and how they can go about it. As is typical with SFI, it usually makes many options available to its affiliates irrespective of whether you are making payments or receiving commissions. There is always a lot of room to make a choice irrespective of wherever you are in the world. To receive your SFI commissions, SFI makes available to all affiliates some 4 options, namely:

- PayPal.
- Bank Check.
- Payoneer Master Card.
- Direct Deposits.

Depending on where you are in the world, you can settle for any of these 4 options based on your own needs. Before you decide, you may wish to take the following into consideration:

- Speed of payment.
- Security of payment.
- Charges.
- Safety.
- Legality.
- Other costs.

However, let me try to answer it in the plain language through which I understand it. Link cloaking software became useful to protect links from being hijacked by ubiquitous online predators. The main drawbacks to using link cloaking software are as follows.

1. It can only be used effectively by experienced online marketers.

2. Some smart online thief can always find a way around the software.

3. The software does not provide foolproof-all-round protection.

4. Link cloaking is not considered as a very reliable security measure.

5. It becomes more reliable only when combined with encryption like WPA, Wi-Fi Protected Access and suck line encryption.

6. You can not use the software in isolation and expect perfect results.

If you do not want to spend any money at all to build a personal website, you can get for free at many web hosting sites which provide a free space for anyone who wants one. You do not need to build anything. You just register in, follow the prompts and you are on in less than 5 minutes. These sites have well designed web pages which you can choose from depending on your taste. Two of such sites which readily come to mind here are blog sites like blogger.com and wordpress.com where you can host your personal SFI website for free. When given free, the sites will allow you only limited use of your own site but if you pay some token fee to upgrade, you can freely use your own site for your own adverts (SFI and TripleClicks Gateways) as well as other adverts including banners from other sites.

For as low as $5, you can register and host your Personal Domain Name with Goddady. Similar service is also available from many other Web Hosts. With a valid registration, you will be provided your own webpage and its accessories for you to use to promote your SFI business as you deem fit. As a rule in online advertising, your ads links must link to the place you want your visitors to see. Usually that “place” is where the product you are selling or marketing can be found. It does not really matter whether the place is in your webpage/blog or in your SFI Gateway.

A link is just like a path which leads to somewhere. That somewhere is where you want your online visitors to get to. Whether the link is in form of text ads, banner ads or any other type of ad, so long as it takes visitors to wherever you want them to go when they click on it, it is a perfect link. You can build a successful SFI business even with inactive affiliates and doubtful customers for your TripleClicks store. This is because “success” in SFI is a relative term. What constitutes success for me may not be what constitutes success for you. Besides, inactive affiliates and doubtful customers may be temporary setbacks which can change with time and experience in the business.

Having said that, I tend to believe from your question that you may be thinking like the farmer who blames his farming tools when he experiences poor crop performance. That is about why I strongly recommend that if you have the problems outlined in your question, you just have to look inwards to yourself first and the way you are running your SFI business second. Try to identify what you are doing right and what you are doing wrongly then make amends.
