How can I best respond to an affiliate who feels they worked hard but are unhappy with their first commission?

I would explain to the affiliate that, as the LaunchPad lessons state, this is not a, "get rich quick," business. If that's what the affiliate expects, he/she is in the wrong business. Then I would explain that learning as much as possible and following all of the steps and sponsoring, referring and duplicating and teaching team members to do the same, commissions will increase gradually and steadily. It takes time to work any business. It can take two, three, five or even 10 years. But always stress that you should never give up. That is the only way to fail.

How do you maintain EA status on a shoe string budget?

One of the best ways to gain EA status and keep that status on a shoestring budget is to purchase an IAHBE membership and put it on a Standing Order. This only costs $29.95 per month. It's worth the investment because you gain so much information from this membership (worth hundreds of dollars). Also, you can get customers to purchase this membership and then you don't have to pay out of pocket. You can have customers purchase any items from TripleClicks, including this membership, and gain VP. You also gain VP from logging in every day and completing items on your To-Do List. If you have a Standing Order, an IAHBE MEMBERSHIP WILL NOT COST YOU AS MUCH. So that's another reason to keep a Standing Order. If, however, you do not have the means to purchase This, you can have customers purchase items at TripleClicks, for example, and purchase TCredits for yourself and your customers and give away TCredits to them to help them purchase from TripleClicks. Another great way to keep EA status would be to ask your sponsor or upline for gift certificates so you can purchase items from TripleClicks with them. You can also give affiliates a gift certificate to help them along the way. I have done this for affiliates, and it really helps them to stay active.

Now that I have acquired Bronze Team Leader status with 3,000 VP, how can I maintain my monthly 3,000 VP and BTL status?

There are a number of ways to keep BTL status and higher! First, keep a Standing Order of at least 1500 and maximum 2000 VP. Then complete your to-do List items every day. Sponsor and help your affiliates to do the same and go even higher. Then be sure that you and your afiliates submit product evaluations and answer and vote on the AskSE questions and purchase TCredits and give them away to affiliates to use at the price Bender auctions and go to the, "Win It," area each day to try and win as much as 200 VP. There are so many imaginative ways to gain VP that I'm sure you can think of many combinations that you and your affiliates can try. Just remember that 2000 maximum can come from TripleClicks. You can also sell items and also gain VP by advertising TripleClicks. Check out the information at the SFI Affiliate Center.

When communicating with my downline, is it best to use the SFI email utility or my own email? What is the most effective?

For the most part, I use the PSA Mailer, the CSA Mailer and the Genealogy Mailer and the Affiliate Snapshot. These are excellent ways to communicate with your downline because you don't have to worry about undeliverable Email addresses or affiliates who may have opted out. The messages also go to the affiliates' email addresses. This is a real win-win situation for everyone and makes life easier when you have thousands of affiliates on your team. I only use regular email when I have a message in my email inbox and I need to send a message immediately. The tools given to us in SFI are the way to go.

Why do so many people join SFI and then do nothing...and what should I do about this?

I believe that most people see that they can join this business free but think they can do very little or nothing. SFI stresses, right from the beginning, that this business is not a, "get rich scheme." It even warns them that if this is what they are looking for, this is not for them. Some people are not very good readers. They are visual people. Some people just do not want to make the effort. Some have problems in their lives that take up most of their time and resources. Some people just aren't designed for the network marketing mentality or just don't understand it because they are used to the hard work ethic where they really don't make that much money for working at a 9 to 5 job every day. Nevertheless, just keep encouraging your affiliates and contacting them and showing them, by example, that this really works! Some people are so impatient they want results now! However, just encourage them to read everything and gain VP and take their time understanding this wonderful opportunity. There are a few who really will understand it and will move with this at great speed.

Has anyone tried the paid Facebook advertising and, if so, did it work/was it was worth the cost?

Actually, I do not post ads on any social network pages because they are what they are, social networks. I wouldn't waste my money on those. I would give my attention to telling people about the products you find on those sites, but I would rather advertise with the co-ops, the eCards, the new gift cards and other ways that SFI has provided. If you have a car, or you can work with someone who does, you can use Wave3.
Do you reward your active CSAs the same as you reward your active PSAs? If not, how do you reward them?

Definitely, a thousand times, YES! I feel it makes no difference if my affiliates are PSAs or CSAs. I feel it's showing partiality to do otherwise. They all get rewarded with co-op shares or whatever reward I give. Everyone is part of the team, so doing this makes everyone who is willing to work feel a part of the team and not left out in any way.
What is the best way to help my affiliates who can't afford to purchase anything?

Here are some ways to help. First, encourage affiliates to learn everything there is to learn by logging in and completing LaunchPad Lessons and reading all of the pages and everything else on the Ledger. Second, encourage them to log in every day and complete the To-Do List. Third, sponsor affiliates by sharing this business with others, including the use of eCards, telephone contacts, using marketing tools and gift cards. Fourth, give them TCredits and gift certificates. Fifth, be imaginative with incentives like extra TCredits, advertising co-op shares, etc. These things encourage affiliates. Also, remember to keep in touch with your affiliates via the communications tools in the Geneology and the Stream posts.

When should we give up on CSAs who don't respond to our messages or do anything?

Never give up! I'll give you a real example of this from my upline. One of my upline was not active for several years. He had been Platinum. I wondered what happened to him, because his name was on my upline team. Well, somebody didn't give up. This person returned into active work in November and is now Gold. Although I am using this as an example, I have seen other affiliates in my downline eventually come back into action after quite a while. Unless a person actually opts out, don't ever give up. It's just like caring for babies, even the ones who become sick after birth and cannot function as well until they receive care. You don't throw them away because they are sick or say they should die. It's the same with your CSAs and PSAs.

Will moving up my personal rank in SFI help to gain more trust from my downline members and help fuel further growth?

Most definitely! When you show yor affiliates, both PSAs and CSAs that you are moving up the ranks and that you are a hard worker and that you lead by example and you help them by communicating effectively with them and help them by awarding them for their work and by helping them t achieve higher levels when things are going not so well in teir personal lives, financially and otherwise, you gain trust from them and they will follow your example. However, please remember that some affiliates, no matter what you do, just are not motivated and do not seem to care. That said, don't let that bother you. Keep working with your team, at all levels, those who really are making some effort. You and your team will benefit because all of ou are helping each other and the entire SFI community.
