As a good Sponsor or Team Leader, you should always recommend to your new PSAs all the marketing methods you have been using and you know are effective in SFI business. Let them know that the marketing methods you are recommending are the ones you can vouch for from your own experience. I would not want to go with the words “encourage” or “discourage.” Just present the facts before your PSAs and let them take their individual decisions. Remember, your PSAs are individual business persons who may want absolute freedom to do their own things. Be careful how you present your advice to them. If you present your facts right, many of your PSAs will find out that:

1. It is not wise to aspire to be a Team Leader when you are yet to build a team you can lead.
2. If your team is not deep enough, you can not earn substantial matching VPs due Team Leaders.
3. Action VPs are more difficult to earn in SFI and a good team allows you to earn many action VPs which help you to Team Leadership position eventually.
4. In SFI, it is always better to do first things first to get maximum benefits. Team Building comes before Team Leadership.
5. A PSA can remain EA from month to month and still earn very well till her team is deep enough before thinking of advancing.
6. Titles don’t matter much in SFI. It is earnings that count.
7. Many of your PSAs will follow your lead if they know you lead by example.
8. Your advice is to help them take their own decisions.
9. Your own story and experience well-told goes a long way to help your PSAs.
10. Even EAs are leaders in their own rights so why the haste in advancing further?

Team leadership is something every affiliate in SFI ideally expects to attain at some point or another. Like everything else particularly in a business like SFI, being a leader confers some form of privileges which are highly beneficial to the affiliate as an Internet Entrepreneur. That is why every affiliate who is serious with his/her business craves to be a Team Leader in SFI at some point or another.

Like everything else which is beneficial, you do have to work real hard and smart to be a Team Leader in SFI. The stages are Bronze Team Leader, BTL, Silver Team Leader, STL, Gold Team Leader, GTL and Platinum Team Leader, PTL.

To attain BTL you need 3000 VPs for the month from sales and action points.
To attain STL you need 4000 VPs for the month from sales and action points.
To attain GTL you need 5000 VPs for the month from sales and action points.
To attain PTL you need 6000 VPs for the month from sales and action points.

Depending on your plans and targets, you can take action monthly to earn VPs from sales and action points in the following ways:

1. Sales VPs of up to 2000 VPs can be obtained either from Standing Order or Direct Sales from TripleClicks shop for the month.

The last thing I will ever recommend in this business is for any Sponsor to do anything which remotely looks like a “bribe” as an incentive for his/her downline. This is because there are very many highly effective ways you can literally “fire-up” your downline without offering unmerited gifts or even bribes. If you must give any gifts to your downline, give them such gifts as a token appreciation for a landmark achievement in the business and not as incentives for something you want them to do which they are yet to do. Acting that way clearly demarcates the difference between a bribe and a legitimate gift.

From my own experience, unless an affiliate is sufficiently interested in the business, no amount of bribes or gifts can change their position. What works best therefore is to do such things for and with your downline which help them to take their business more seriously. To my mind, that is the best way to go about it. Some of such things which you must never fail to do include, but not limited to:

1. Regular communications with your downline.
2. Sending down the line regular tips and information on how to succeed in the business.
3. Forming a cooperative and involving your downline.
4. Promptly addressing concerns and requests for information from your downline.
5. Encouraging your downline to engage you with their fears and concerns about the business.
6. Promptly congratulating members of your downline when they make some landmark achievements.
7. Remembering their anniversaries and birthdays and helping them to mark the dates.
8. Occasionally giving away to some of them such gifts as TCredits and even PSAs but certainly not as bribes.

These are the things I believe you can do to and for your downline to encourage them in SFI business. Bribing them is clearly out of the question.

As I have stated in an earlier answer, Gift Cards are very effective marketing tools in SFI. They are a very effective way to introduce SFI and Tripleclicks to other people. The first answer to your question is a big YES. At 18+ many people are of legal age in many countries. As such, they can legally start a business and profit by it irrespective of whether they are students or not.

Come to think of it, it is students who should be more worried about a secure financial future that anyone else. There are lots of good incentives out there to offer prospects to encourage them to join your SFI team. First, you must find out through interactions what motivates the prospect. In fact knowing what the prospect really wants can give you a very good clue what to “dangle” before that prospect to convince him/her to join your team. It requires some skills though which you must have to be able to do so successfully. That is primarily why you should don your leadership toga all the time when prospecting new affiliates.
