Good Morning Rebecca,
not knowing your ad-campaign nor which group, if any, you refer to,
I'd still say the one way is through local or regional small
newspaper classifieds. "Beginners Preferred" has been a big and
successful slogan; even a personal ad to find "TEAM-MATES" can
and has been proven to be successful.
So many publications are out there targeting certain groups, like
coupon collectors, work at home moms etc. those are usually good
resources. Sure there is Craig's List and similar, but would your
ad stand out? They are overloaded and even though it's free, luck
has more to do with it than efforts.
Hope this makes sense to you...
I'm sure you'll find a way!

What kinds of investments should a new affiliate plan on making to succeed in SFI?

That I believe is up to an individual and his financial situation. I personally started with the special 125 TCredit offer which in return gave me a chance to get involved in the Auctions and to order other TC products.
This was real beneficial to me as I could truly endorse a product and it also gave me enough time to learn more about becoming a good sponsor. (In so many ways)
It did not make any sense at the beginning to invest in an SBuilder before I knew I could truly be helpful to my PSA's.

How can we get across to our affiliates that investing minor (at least) amounts of money into SFI is smart?

Hi,
I believe best way is through example and explaining
the benefits in full.
$1.95 investment for a sticker and membership with WAVE3
is just such an investment. Once your team members know and see
how this can give one a jump-start the interest might
grow to actually try to search for more opportunities
to get started.
Wave3 is perhaps the best starting point for any
inexperienced marketer and it is the least amount of money
involved. Perfect to test the waters and also get to know
oneself a bit better by handing out the business cards
that come along with the Starter Kit.
Helped me a lot.

Above all else, what is the ONE THING that has made the difference for you in succeeding with SFI?

Above all else?
The one thing that has made a difference for me to succeed
not only with SFI but something I now use in everyday life:
The importance of having a goal and acting upon it
with the discipline it takes to become successful.
SUCCESS is such a relative word and we all see it differently
and describe success in a variety of ways -
to me it was extremely important to instill these attributes
in me; discipline, confidence and the will to keep going
no matter how gloomy it sometimes may appear.
The rest follows quite naturally!

Hello Cecil,
Ever been caught off guard by a question?
You did it - you made me check and evaluate.
1. Communication
2. Affiliate Manager
1a. It makes it easy to get your messages out to
the groups these notes are intended to.
Great filtering at Genealogy.
2a. Affiliate Manager -
Unless one gets dozens of new affiliates each day
the Aff. mgr. has everything to keep up-to-date
with one's PSA's.
That is if you make yourself familiar with it
right from the start.
I used Re-Assignment tool and Co-op manager, yet to me
the above mentioned tools are the ones helping me the most.
Someday I shall find out if these other tools are more
for experienced users or power hitters, but for now I say
communicating is important and the manager is helping
tremendously by sorting out who to converse with.
Is this a hidden study? (wink2x)

How do you respond when someone asks you about SFI?

Hi,
I'd look around as if I were to tell a top secret,
then start smiling and say: "It's the best that ever happened to me" -
Of course from there on you let loose and enthusiastically and
honestly "BRAG" about the benefits.
Don't forget to mention it takes discipline, learning, a goal...
and the rest has been proven.
I'm designing an SFI business card. What information should I make sure to include?

Hi -
I've been playing with the different screensavers
SFI recently offered, and use the appropriate one
as background on the front.
Add just your name, URL and personal contact
information there (phone, e-mail).
On the back outline the message you'd like to send.
Get yourself a personal domain name first, and use
that as your e-mail address as well. Don't do a you@YAHOO
and so on as a business card, not good.
[email protected]/net/biz/ws and so on.
Again, I really liked the idea with the screensaver -
came out real sharp looking.
Hope this helped and inspired a bit.
Have fun with the design.

A complete stranger sees your WAVE3 banner on your car. They ask what TripleClicks is. What do you say?

You say:
"I'll be right back" - then unlock the car and get a card and perhaps a flier
and before you hand these to that person explain with a smile how it helped you
change your life and how easy it is this way to get started with TripleClicks.
Ask if this stranger ever thought of working from home or just would like to receive
FREE STUFF each month, this is the perfect place for it.
The door is now open!
How many hours a week do I need to devote to SFI to become successful?

How many hours a week?
In my profile when I started I put down 21 - that's 3 hrs a day average.
Now in my 3rd. month I am spending actually a little more.
The time needed to do the things to keep alive has shortened, one can do these in less than 45 minutes, that includes reading all answers for the Daily Grand.
But the more I learned the more questions it created.
Then the excitement of the Price Bender Auctions, the Forum etc. - this can add up. Yet the time spent is only of benefit to you. Dedicate your first 30 days to the Launchpad and 14 hrs a week should be efficient.
Then when you start building YOUR business - well, just like in the Mortar & Brick world, a 80 hour week can sometimes not be enough.
Don't let me scare you away - the more you get to know SFI the more anxious you get to spend more time here.
To your success!

What is the best and least expensive way to build a personal SFI Website?

Hello David,
you question obviously is telling us you're just starting building sites.
While everybody is pointing to Wordpress and so, which are good, I suggest you go to GODADDY to register a Personal Domain Name.
With that registration you are entitled to an INSTANT PAGE for a whole year.
This will give you a head start and you will get to know the basics of a web site.
It's very simple and it's a great introduction to you personally.
Once you get the mechanics down of the whole complete process, you can either upgrade or find another host, but keep the one going.
Somewhere here in SFI in the news has been mentioned that SFI has become a reseller or affiliate with GoDaddy and I wish that link was easier to find - it's a small way of contributing to SFI to register through that link.
The STARTER PAGE is an excellent personal intro page to your new endeavor.
I can only recommend it - you'll get the regular basic pages all on 1 page.
And it's only 13$ for the domain name.
And from there you grow -
To your success!
