There is no hard, fast, nor reliable method to solve this problem. New affiliates sign up to begin for many reasons:

1. SFI is so successful?
2. Was it their dream?
3. Earning an online income?
4. Start growing a second income from home?
5. To sign up to SFI is free?
6. Boredom; and SFI looks like a time killer, but potentially interesting and alluring?
7. Referral from someone?
8. Referral from you?

The fact is they have to want to join, for the right reasons, and must have the determination to learn, read, grow and succeed, the desire to want to create wealth, it has to be a passion, invested in daily, they must know it is time consuming and hard work – definitely not a get rich quick scheme.

Only then, do you stand a chance of keeping them active and preventing them from quitting.
Yes, you can send them a welcome e-card, and a welcome message or email, and perhaps gift them a Tcredit or Gift Card/Certificate, but unless that desire lies within them, your efforts will be 9 times out of 10 fruitless.

Don’t waste your time with quitters and non-believers, focus on those few you can convince and support into being your tomorrows leaders, or better yet, where your money lies – profit. Seek out the diamonds from the stones, it takes only one email to determine someone’s true ambitions within SFI and whether they will quit and run or stay the course.

Generally, if they have signed up, not completed any actions/VP’s, and have never logged in again, chance are they won’t, move on, for every few stones lies a diamond. Focus on buying your PSA’s and investing in S Builder Co-ops. That way you are guaranteed a higher success rate of a PSA not quitting on you.

Don’t Sweat It when it comes to strategies for Meeting and Connecting with CEO’s and Directors/Owners of potential ECA companies. Firstly, you need to:

Act like you belong! A CEO has limited time, don’t waste it, be bold, know your stuff, and be confident in what you are trying to market to them. They are CEO’s – remember they, in their own brilliance have achieved a level of rank that demands successful behavior, attitude and professionalism.

Provide value first! You need to open up your meeting/presentation with all the right facts with figures to back them up, a CEO will want to know what is in it for his company, and within a very short time of your meeting – don’t miss this window, as you will lose your limited opportunity window.

Do your research in advance! Make sure you arrive on time, and are well versed, prepared and above all else you have to talk the talk and know you your objectives for any question or eventuality that may arise. A CEO will not entertain a call back if you are unsure of your own objectives and what you are marketing.

The trick here is the gatekeeper. You need to find that person in that company you are targeting. Most will have at least one and familiarity is paramount. Now a gatekeeper is your key person into that company – your lead, this is vital to meeting the right people in the company whom you can win over, they will then become your driving force and your success rate of signing them up as an ECA will improve beyond your expectations. Often, the CEO is bound by a board of directors and cannot make the decision you need alone. Always bear that in mind! Sometimes, starting with one of the marketing team members may be your best route and foot in the door.

So you have to do some homework:

- List all the questions you need to ask and all information you need to get
- List all the people in their hierarchy who can answer most of the questions
- Narrow your questions to very few but highly relevant to their level

You will need to train your team on the need for social media participation, explain the audience you’re aiming to market/sell to, and explain how to establish budget/resources. The actual social platforms being used will all determine how a social media program can and should be promoted. This can be taught with a few key questions that should be a part of your social media strategy:

1. What is the primary goal? Secondary goals?
2. Where does the target audience spend their time on the social web and what do they do there?
3. On what social platforms is your business already participating?
4. What existing resources can be reassigned or adjusted and what new resources will you need to forecast and budget for?

You will need to train your team on how to promote social participation and that this is directly tied to your goals, audience, tactics and resources. It is important to make affiliates understand that they need to communicate well within SFI and externally. It will help affiliates understand what other affiliates are saying. It also means that they can express their own needs and concerns. The importance of communication skills can be seen when good, quality communication occurs that prevents misunderstandings, miscommunication and conflict. It produces productive work and performance that will ultimately affect your and their SFI business commissions/profits.

A vital part of communication is making affiliates feel understood and valued. Campaigns can help boost morale and give affiliates an opportunity to feel recognized and valued. When there is a strong morale, affiliate retention will tend to be high.

The specific communication skills which are most important are to understand that it may be helpful to understand basic communication patterns which are already occurring. Pay attention to what is said when communicating to others and pay equal attention to the person's response. Don't ignore nonverbal cues and other cues such as affiliates ignoring messages, ignoring team mails, lack of logging in, not reaching VP or rank, and other signs of boredom or frustration. These are signs that communication needs to be enhanced.

Getting affiliates to have a team spirit and to feel valued is important. Clear, direct language can assist affiliates feel like they are working towards a common goal. The right words can boost group morale. Emphasize the team purpose and have frequent feedback sessions to avoid conflicts and negative feelings/morale.

You need to recognize that communication is not just about speaking or listening but includes different forms of verbal and non-verbal communication. Effective communication boosts morale, builds trust and creates a more focused and effective successful team of affiliates.

Involving your spouse in your SFI business provides added advantages, while for others the consequences are dire. One key ability is that of adapting many times a day between 'personal' and 'business'. Both working on an SFI business will come with a unique set of challenges but running your business with your spouse creates an entirely different working level.

This can be a successful venture both personally and professionally but must be done correctly by following the below:

Set Goals and Responsibilities
Create specific goals and responsibilities and ensure your spouse knows who to follow, who their sponsor is, if not you, and how to communicate with their up line to increase success.

Established work hours
Create specific work hours (and non-work hours. Have a meeting each Friday where you do the "week in review’" and brainstorm areas that need a bit more focus and attention. This is also the time to go through their specific to-do lists. Avoid overflowing SFI into your personal life, i.e. do not discuss it over dinner or while bathing the kids!

Unique, private work spaces
Have your own working space and routine. Just because you work together doesn’t mean you have to be together all day long -- that could be a recipe for disaster in the long run. It helps you both remain focused on your specific tasks and responsibilities and is ultimately more productive for you both.

5. Celebrate Rewards
Appreciate your unique relationship. Business lifestyle can be intense and having someone to share it with helps make it more manageable but also rewarding, sharing your passion for the business with the one you love can be a powerful tool and celebrate your successes together!
