When talking to prospects be upfront and honest about what SFI is about. Start with the simple truth - SFI is a global business, founded by Gery Carson of Carson International 17 years ago. Be brief and to the point....

How can we determine beforehand what are good spots to advertise?

Advertising in a certain spot would be equivalent to saying where to fish in the ocean. There is no Certain spot to advertise, rather consider your target audience and the options available. SFI offers many marketing methods that can help you find the perfect advertising method.
Options available for advertising.
Online advertising
1. Free classified ads.
2. Paid classified ads.
3.Blog or website advertising.
4. Newsletter advertising.
Offline advertising
1. Newsletter advertising
2. Flier advertising.
3. Magazine and newspaper advertising
The only way to find out which works best for you is to start trying each one , and see where you get the greater no, of sighnups.

When a person joins SFI, what things are the most important for him or her to do?

When a person joins SFI there are three things that must be done ASAP.
1. Confirm registration.
2. Whitelist mail.
3. Complete profile.
Completing these actions makes it easier for your sponsor or co- sponsor to assist you.
Next the affiliate must start to read, read the About SFI page,SFI Basics, Compensation plan , Benefits chart and do the daily "to do list". They must also start to do Launchpad lessons . Encourage affiliates to learn more about the benefits of fast track.
The first month at SFI should be spent reading and learning . You have the latest training material at you fingertips . Use every available resource to learn more, do more and you will achieve success.
A point to remember is that you only need 1500 VP to become EA , when you join SFI there are many AVP (action versa points) available when you complete the "getting started actions", "launchpad "and " intermediate actions" learn to pace these .they will definitely be useful in the coming months.

Is it worth it to keep sending supportive emails to PSAs and CSAs who have 0 VP and been inactive for weeks or months?

YES. YES, AND YES. And whenever possible send an E-card as well.Send one of the cartoon types that will remind them that you are still available if or when they are ready to pursue their business.
Everything happens at the right time and if it doesn't happen then it should not be because of your lack of trying.

Which is better to pursue...CSAs or PSAs?

It is almost the same as asking if you should be a Sponsor or Co Sponsor . You are one and the same , same goes for PSA or CSA . As a Co sponsor you are second in command BUT you are there for support of your CSA's who still provide commissions to you. Sometimes three Bronze CSA's are better than no hardworking PSA's.
Although PSA's should be the focus of your business for you earn more commissions with them, remember your CSA's do not need as much TIME as you would give your PSA's.
PSA's require MORE TIME = HIGHER COMMISSIONS
CSA's require LESS TIME = LOWER COMMISSIONS

It all depends on what you are good at and also what you enjoy more. Playing the Eager Zebra games or bidding at Pricebenders .
