What are the best tips for answering ASK SC questions so that you get the maximum number of votes possible?

I would suggest that you only answer questions for which you have personal knowledge or experience. To waft and ad lib is something that is quickly detected by the reader and could result in your loosing votes.
Secondly, FOLLOW THE RULES for submitting answers. By not following the rules you risk being reported and your submission being removed from the ASK SC forum.
Try to maintain a friendly yet informative stance and a wee bit of humor always goes along way to endear the reader to your article.
ALWAYS BE ORIGINAL – this is a SFI prerequisite!
If you are going to write an essay, be sure you have enough content to engage the reader without boring them.
Submitting answers is also a wonderful self-test of your knowledge of the subject matter.
WHY? When you vote on the ASK SC questions while completing you TODO list, you will have an opportunity to gauge your answer to others that are being submitted.
And then? Well, YOU BE THE JUDGE!
The biggest surprise is of course, when you get rewarded and this is your ultimate confirmation.
Good Luck!

Thousands of SFI affiliates are doing the same thing. How do you stand out from the crowd?

You can only assert your presence by understanding firstly. Get to know SFI and TripleClicks - the more knowledge you have about how the system works the more dependable your advice and the greater your own success.
SFI is about duplication - if it works for someone else it WILL work for you. Apply yourself to your task at hand, be honest, always be humble, be committed and you WILL thrive.
Rome was not built in a day - nor will your business be built in a day - but to perseverance and commitment there is no substitute -
Your actions will speak for themselves. Your badges attest to your achievements.
Stick with the SFI system (you have everything to make a success at your finger tips)and you will stand out from the crowd!

Should I encourage or discourage my PSAs who want to become Team Leaders right away?
Ruth Temple-Murray, Aff (South Africa)

Affiliate since: 04/18/2014, Power Rank: 99999999
There are two categories of PSA’S who endeavor to become Team Leaders right away:
THE ENTHUSIAST – with no existing network.
These PSA’s find the challenge of moving up the ranks irresistible. They are enthusiastic and want to achieve – and they can through VP and TripleClicks in their first month. BUT, it soon becomes apparent that they have not applied themselves to SFI training and guidance and do not have an existing network. Soon they will find that they cannot maintain their Team Leader status.
THE KICKER, SHAKER AND MOVER – with an existing network.
These PSA’s in all probability have an existing network over whom they already have an influence and are able to recruit PSA’s who will duplicate as they are asked. Moving up the ranks for them is a natural progression as they are experienced and have probably been/ or are, involved in another affiliate program.
If you see that your newly recruited PSA is moving too FAST, the first thing to do is establish from the PSA immediately if they do have an existing network. If they do, you’re okay – congrats and good luck.
If your PSA does not have an existing network, the best thing to do is to explain that they need to use a strategy so that they can maintain their position in SFI and read and learn a bit more to get to grips with the program and how SFI actually works.
Refer them to the TODO list and explain what attaining BTL and upward actually implies.
Remind them that they are in this game for the long haul and that there is no quick gratification to expect, BUT do encourage them to recruit their own PSA’s and to keep doing this because the more people under them that attain EA2 and above the easier it will become for them to climb in rank.

How do you convince someone that they can earn a substantial income with SFI?
Ruth Temple-Murray, Aff (South Africa)

Affiliate since: 04/18/2014, Power Rank: 99999999
To start a conversation related to the possibility of establishing ANY income is firstly related to a persons needs and expectations.
Although there may be a skeptical approach from the recipient, the different methods of earning an income within SFI that are available to the prospective affiliate should be discussed.
The ability of the recipient to apply themselves to the people in their area of influence initially may trigger a chain reaction where they then begin to see the possibilities for themselves.
To the novice who is new to the practices of marketing the processes related to the sales component should also be discussed – as sales are what drive revenue and earnings and is the result of your marketing efforts.
SFI give the best examples of the power of duplication in the training manuals which are written in simple English with powerful imagery.
SFI also discuss the length of time that it can take to realize a “super” type income. This is done deliberately to make the affiliate aware that they are embarking on a business which is based on practicing real time, real life tried and proven practices. What this essentially amounts to is that the 80/20 rule applies to the practice of marketing across the board.
BUT – luck is a factor that can apply to business. When providence finds it way to your business you see the world from a different perspective – however, luck is a wild card and to rely upon luck is dangerous.
To discuss initial potential earnings is to explain the value of matching VP and to give an illustration of the size of the pool as quoted on your TODO list.
In essence, the earning potential at SFI is directly related to the extent to which you are willing to apply yourself BUT there is no limit to the amount that you can earn.

Where can I get good content for my SFI blog without infringing on copyrighted material?
Ruth Temple-Murray, Aff (South Africa)

In most cases, even the most experienced authors of intricate, technical or academic content do some research upon which their content is based, even it is only for historical reference.
Doing research about internet marketing, marketing in general, the practice of affiliates or other related topics such as ethics etc. is the best way to crystallize the message that you are trying to convey.
It is common practice to list Acknowledgements to your work if you are making use of other material with appropriate reference in the text of your ‘master piece’ :-).
In most cases the conditions of copyrighted material are clearly stipulated and should the condition require permissions to publish, you would need to contact the copyright holding company, which could mean that they might have other conditions attached to your publishing their work consequently.
However, there is nothing stopping you from reading the material, learning from it and then placing what you have learnt in YOUR OWN WORDS and in the context of your script with the appropriate Acknowledgements.
Under no circumstances should you commit any plagiarist act – in essence what you are doing is STEALING from the hard work and effort of another person who under the instance of copyright has invested time and money to create an income the revenue earnings of which you have then denied them.
So, there is good content on the web, everywhere . The question is about how you apply yourself that makes the difference. Happy writing!

Is it wise to 'bribe' your downline with Gift Certificates, TCredits or other incentives? Or does this practice come back and bite you?

At the outset, from the point of view of the affiliate initiating the prize, award, incentive etc. I would like to bring to your attention that it all costs money to the affiliate and is therefore not taken lightly by the affiliate initiating the process.
“Bribe” in my opinion, has a negative connotation as it implies that you are expecting something for nothing, which cannot be the case at SFI.
For all the incentives or promotions that I present I make sure that there are conditions attached to the awarding of the prize which bring the affiliate to a status that allows them the opportunity to grow their own business consequently.
What I am inadvertently telling my PSA’s is that if they put in the effort, so will I.
Here are two examples of the types of promotion or incentives that I use to motivate my team:
1. I offer a challenge signing 3 PSAs within a period of time with 1st, 2nd and
3rd prizes.
2. I offer reward for achieving EA2 status and maintaining it for one month
thereafter.
What I hope to achieve through this process is a sense of achievement from my PSA’s and that they can then appreciate the value of growing their own businesses and by my direct contribution it is my way of saying thank you.

What long-term goal(s) should an affiliate be setting for themselves?

Long term goals are the pinnacle result of applied effort and consistent application of the discipline that you are employing to achieve the result to which you are working.
At SFI ultimately your long term goal would be to achieve recurring income where no matter what the personal circumstances are of your financial situation you would be assured repeat income.
For some it may take 18 to 20 months for others it may take 60 months, and for others 10 years, but at the end of the day it is directly related to the EFFORT, persistence and commitment that you apply in your SFI business.

Which of the SFI LaunchPad lessons is best...and why?
Ruth Temple-Murray, Aff (South Africa)

Affiliate since: 04/18/2014, Power Rank: 99999999
Each of the LaunchPad lessons that are presented deals with an essential element to your new business with SFI – and for that matter your continued business here at SFI.
I like to compare the collection of articles presented to a quick reference library that will give you either inspiration or assist you to focus in a particular area of your daily practice with SFI.
In adult education pre-reading is the most effective way to bring you to a complete comprehensive understanding of the subject matter at hand.
Ideally you would read and reread each article at least seven (7) times.
The advantage of the LaunchPad lessons is that by using these articles as a reference point you will find yourself applying yourself to the questions and/or challenges that you face at any particular moment in time and will help to focus your attention on what it is that you need to be doing to overcome the challenge before you.
These should be your first point of reference.
So, in answer to your question, all of the LaunchPad lessons are best as each lesson deals with a separate aspect of your SFI business.

Can I set up my SFI business to run on autopilot? If so, how?
Ruth Temple-Murray, Aff (South Africa)
5/30/2014 12:09 pm
Affiliate since: 04/18/2014, Power Rank: 99999999
I am amused by this question. Simply put, the answer is a great resounding: NO.
You cannot build lasting, meaningful relationships on Auto Pilot.
The most important THREE STEP principle at SFI is the process of duplication. They all call for action:
JOIN - SFI – you cannot do this on autopilot.
ACCUMULATE – VersaPoints - if you write an algorithm to automatically get points two things will happen:
1) You will have your account closed for violating the terms and conditions of SFI.
2) You will have lost out from all the benefit of the LEARNING that you need to
succeed at SFI.
GENERATE – sales at TripleClicks
You want to generate sales at TripleClicks on Auto Pilot? – I hope you mean that this is for yourself – please join under me – I would love to have your Auto Pilot sales – can’t say how long your cash flow will last though.
SPONSOR – new affiliates
You want to run your new affiliate sponsorships on Auto Pilot? You miss the point! Sponsorship is a two way communication channel that speaks between you as the sponsor and the new affiliate. Each person is individual with separate needs, challenges and talents! Auto Pilot cannot bring potential to the fore – soon your new affiliate will realize they are speaking to a deaf computer.

How can you be an SFI Team Leader if you're not a born leader?
Ruth Temple-Murray, Aff (South Africa)
5/30/2014 11:39 am
Affiliate since: 04/18/2014, Power Rank: 99999999
Conventional every day thinking today high lights that born leaders are to some extent rebellious, they challenge the status quo and in doing so influence others. More importantly they are provided with something that is inate in all of us – potential.
You will not realize your potential as a leader until you are placed in a situation where this potential is called from within you. You do not need to be Ghandi, Nelson Mandela or even Richard Branson to be a leader. It is the glamour associated with their position that leads us to believe that they are somehow born with an advantage over us mere mortals.
If you define leadership, simplistically, then leadership is simply showing others a better way.
Leadership is a spontaneous phenomenon that emerges in an organization. It is an application to your mindset that allows the creativity within you to express itself. Leadership is the creative potential in each of us that when called for, we then lead by example for the improvement or betterment of our cause.
SFI creates the environment for your leadership potential to express itself within you. One can develop managers or executives or influencing skills but not the drive to be a leader. This is a status that you bring to the fore for yourself as you develop within SFI.
SFI gives you all the tools you need to develop your potential – but it is up to you to apply yourself.
