How do we define good communication? Is it only writing? If we were to go deeper in our interpretation of good communication, the following would also contribute to the overall meaning of good communication instead of just writing.

1) Body language – can dominate a conversation more than our tone or words. Making
sincere eye contact with your potential sign ups, warm market etc, dressing well with good
posture can make a difference when making a sales pitch or working with your clients (for
ECAs especially).
2) Listening – be a good listener to better understand what someone else is saying
3) Empathy – being aware of the needs of others through what they say to you
4) Patience – not losing your cool when you send out an email and don’t get a reply

As to writing skills, practices make it perfect. The more you write, the better you will become. Observe how other people present their views, writing their website or blogs and so on. If you have some ideas, write it down. If not for immediate use, you may need it later, when you need ideas, you can refer back from what you have written down before.

Back to SFI, sample letters are available for use. From SFI, contribution by Senior and successful old members can be traced from archive. Forum is another avenue where sharing of ‘out of the box’ information made available 24/7, by SFI community to all Affiliates. You just need to ‘search’ for topics of your interest, digest all pertinent info and re-write in your own words. Use a simple and easy to understand words, as long as your message is clear and concise for people to understand.

So, good communication does not mean only in writing, it consists all of the above-mentioned. If you can combine all of them and put into practice, you will become ‘almost’ a perfect person not only in writing but the overall aspects of good communication, eventually you will become a good communicator.

Some facts from article that I read: According to Cisco, by 2017, video will account 69% of all consumer internet traffic. And it’s growing! We cannot deny that Video IS the future of content marketing.

Example of current video marketing made available to us by SFI is Radio SFI. This is specifically designed for SFI affiliates and all we need to do is to purchase it and the rest is taken care of. Those who have subscribed to Radio SFI will know how good the contents are, provided by the service provider. Every advert and promotions are all about SFI and TripleClicks. The banners, splash etc are provided for.

Taking SFI Radio. Rules of Success by Mr. President himself, as an example, we the affiliates can actually do the same by doing our own recording and share it on YouTube. YouTube alone received over one billion unique visitors per month. If you have a good contents, YouTube should be your 1st choice for marketing followed by Facebook, Google+ and many more.

Video marketing is possible/viable because:
1) Costs: Production costs have fallen significantly in recent years, enable more and more people to engage video marketing as way of their marketing strategy. 64% of network marketers realise the possibilities and expect video to dominate their strategies in the near future.
2) Video is giving you really a large portion of the viewers at any one time, you are talking about billions. If 1% of these billions look at your video advert, imagine the big possibilities that you will receive.
3) Message can easily be dispersed to your targeted audience. Remember though, we are in the age of information overload, so it is vital that you offer content that easy to digest. A video does this very well.

To achieve your desired result by using video marketing, make sure due consideration is given to the audience you are trying to reach, ensure the videos are relevant to them. Promote them across multiple channels. To fully realise your video potentials, make it easy for users to find and shares. One more, you must not forget about mobiles and tablets, another increasingly important segment.

Finally, be creative, engaging not only with your videos but the campaign strategy you build around them.

We are in the era of social marketing being the most popular in recruiting for new affiliates. We tend to forget this particular, also very important way of reaching out to our potential sign-ups. Face-to-face communication should not be overlooked as a viable alternative to our approach in recruiting.

Face-to-face does not mean we have to be there physically with our contacts. With technological advances, we can still do it with personal touch. Skype, Facebook, Google+ and video conferencing, we will find opportunities to have a live discussions and meetings electronically.

The advantage is, it is very flexible where meeting can be done at specific time with specific person or attendees. A flexible alternative when attendance at one location presents challenges for participants due to factors such as distance and time.

Face-to-face communication can be very effective option where you can:

1) Gauge and understand reactions to information being presented.
It is well known that written, telephone and face-to-face communication are all rely on words, only face-to-face provides the ability to both, observe body language and you can hear tone of voice. These additional signals can provide you the insights that are critical in gaining an understanding of others perspectives.

Doing locally and personally requires so much of your time. This is the main minus point in doing so. You will need to have a super good time management and superb in setting your priorities.

- You have Mr Google to help you find anything, how to market online, how to start prospecting, how to do your blogs, how to set-up your website, how to spot a good Leader, where to advertise free, free website, free traffic exchange... and the HOW continues. You will get all the answers. Do your reading, not only read SFI Basics, Launchpad and all the tools by SFI, take the initiative to learn and get extra information pertaining to our SFI business. This might help those without internet marketing experience.
- Reaching out to contacts outside your country is not a problem at all. You have Skype, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and so on, that you can use to advertise, to promote, to make new friend and all.
- Free marketing tools provided by SFI/TripleClicks – use them freely and creatively to attract more prospects to your site, blogs, social media etc.
- Send Ecards, Group/Individual mails to your PSAs & CSAs around the globe. You are able to communicate, show your appreciation for work well done.

2. Manipulate the very big market in terms of gamers online by specifically targeting at certain group or age group. Basically, youngsters are the ones like to play online games.

For sure we live in the era of borderless world. Information at your fingertips, there should be no reason at all for you to face difficulties in approaching and promoting your products, services and your business.

First of all equip yourself with full knowledge (extra would be better) on ways to promote your SFI, TripleClicks, PriceBenders, EZ Zebra Games, WAVE3, ECA Program etc and ensure that you have all these ready just in case you bump in to old friends or family members. Am sure you will have no problem in approaching people that you know.

A hello to a stranger might lead you to a sign-up. But be precise when explaining about SFI and do not promise anyone a world. But if you still not comfortable in face to face approach, facebook is the most popular social media. Rather than posting and sharing undesired contents, why not promote your SFI business and share with the world the huge opportunity, for everyone to grab. One liked by a friend will give you a lot more viewers and that might trigger more interest and opening an opportunity for more sign-ups.

These few additional items may help you overcome your fear of approaching people, but high self-esteem will eliminate this altogether. Prepare yourself and works towards attaining a Team Leader position and this will boost your confidence greatly.

- Printing and distribute of flyers

- Have your fliers displayed at strategic community centres, employment agencies, convenient stores, universities bill board or engage a distribution company to distribute your flyers to housing estates.
